Apart from Just Cars, Shannons and famous...what other insurance companies are there out there that will cover a 19.5yr old with 1 driving suspension as a history? Famous cancelled my insurance after they found out i had my license suspended and didnt want to hear from me for another 3 years... so much for giving people 2nd chances... gay My suspension is nearly up and have learnt my lesson so its time to find another insurance company that will cover me!...so anyone got some good recommendationz?

ummm when i had my stock BOV on, i actually had the "pop" sound from the exhaust occasionally, like not all the time. ONly when i rev harder, there would be the occasional pop. What does that mean? since i wasnt using a atmo bov

bobsgirl, what your saying is right to an extent, but then there should be no double standards. what exactly is "a bit too far" over the limit? what 10kms?20kms?30kms? IF what your saying is right then, and everyone should get what they deserve then anyone that goes 1km/hr over the speed limit should be penalised. There should be no double standards. its either your over the limit or your not, your cant be speeding "a bit too much" I got what i deserve but what i get really pisssssed off about is when i hear some idiot drinkin driving, being caught 3 times and letting a toddler take the wheel for him and being only fined 900 when i get a 1600 fine for being over the limit. Tell me who has a better chance of crashing or harmin some1? or some guy racing and dont even get a fine. The law we have in place has too many flaws in it...so no most of you are wrong, not everyone gets what the deserve. Some get harsher penalties then others who have done 10X worse then them. So i dont seee the problem of trying to reduce the fine or suspension....if some idiot doing a lot worse then you is getting off for less...

yeah well as pointed out by some people, it aint that hard to hit 130 in a skyline...a lil touch on 3rd would take u easily past 130......but i aint justifying my actions but merely outling what happened that night.

Homebush bay road is like M5 highway, its long and wide especially at nite, there is no chance a person or animal or WHATEVA will jump in front of you, and i know this coz i drive past there everyday to uni. I got done for doing 130 but i wasnt even constantly going 130, i just pressed the accelerater a bit too hard n it hit 130 and i quickly started to slow down, but it was already too late. I deserve what i got, and so does this bloke, but all u pplz dissin this bloke, no one cares what you think, so pisssssssssss offf?

mate i was in exactly the same position half a year ago got done on same road, homebush bay drive doing 130 in a 70 zone..first day home from uni and trying to get home asap. And hit 130, started to slow down but was already too late. Copped $1559 + 6pts demerits...+ 6months suspension which im serving now. The cop was "nice" enough to put 45kms+ on my fine, so i only get the 6months and not 60kms. I think i get another 3 motnhs or so if your over 130kms that was my first conviction as well, but yeah since then ive learnt my lesson and well i dont recommend anyone speeding, coz public transport sux. Get use to taking public transport and not having a car, I've learnt to live with it, and the last 3.5months have been a big learnin experience for me since I've been driving for 2 yrs. But during your suspension you can chuck heaps of crap on ur car from all the petrol money u saved =) which i have done! bUt yeah good luck mate, and make sure u learn from ur experience, coz i certaintly have!! I was faced with EXACTLY the same choice a bit less then a year ago. I was considering the R33 gtst or the s14 but because some of my friends had a r33, and sitting in it and driving it a few times, i knew i had to get myself a line. I actually considered the GTT r34 and the S15 but couldn't stretch my budge that far, but if i had to make the same choice again today, I will choice the line.........but s14 is also a goood car so you won't lose out which ever way you go. One car that i didnt consider but i should have thinking about it now is the 180sX type X 97 model. That is one gorgeous mudaFcuker and if i were to change cars from my line, i would go for a 180 or a silvia..........but yeah they are all nice cars...but my recommendation: the r33 simply coz its a skyline =) oh ummmm btw i was 18.5 when i bought my skyline and insurance for me was $3.6k with famous and excess was $4k...so just giving you an idea of what type of money your gonna be paying!

but mate you have to realise that if you put a very nice body kit onto a civic, although it may look very nice and shyt...but people willl just think that it's rice and nothin more. You rather spend the money and kit a skyline and you will gain a lot more respect in that den a civic, even though its a non turbo, but who would know if your not racing anyone. I personally didnt like the shape of an R32 but i admit its realli grown on me. So my advice, get a skyline coz once you drive a line, your hooked....I was about to buy a lancer, civic, jazz.....and once i sat in my friends line..i was like fcccccuukk dat.....i want a line and havent looked back since..i wouldnt swap my line for any other car other den another line at this point of time
