  1. Sent you a PM on the 31 Club.
  2. Hey Fatz, do you happen have a known working AAC Valve laying around?
  3. Would you be interested in removing the AAC Valve from the plenum at all?
  4. I'm running 25DE pistons that have been shaved, also had the block shaved and the head leveled I think from memory. When it was all said and done the compression ratio was over 12:1 which is so border line having to run race fuel (something higher than 98 - 100 octane at least anyway) that on a hot day here in Australia it would ping. I now run a 1.8mm steel multi layer drag style head gasket which has brought the compression just under 12:1. I have spent almost 9 months in Dubai and it's not just hot, it's F**KING HOT!!! So here are a few little things that I see that might be a drama from the time that I have owned my 26/30, the carbs while they would make any RB lover moist in the crutch hearing them at 8000rpm+ probably aren't going to work very well with the humidity and the temperature that is in Dubai even when it get's 'cold' (less hot), you will also need someone that knows how to tune carbs and knows skyline motors well, because if something goes wrong it's going to go wrong in a big way, believe me and it gets expensive after a while. Not trying to put a downer on anything, all the power to you for making a wicked N/a motor, I just don't think it's going to work very well where you are unfortunately.
  5. Sweet, sounds like a few people. Have you heard of any meets that happen in town at all?
  6. Just wandering how many of us are in Katherine, not too sure if there was a thread already created. Is it possible to get this stickied like the Darwin thread? Also spotted a Black R34 GT-R with VIC plates kicking around in Katherine too, is it anyone here? I'm in the Red/Black R31 if anyone is out an about.
  7. Good work Greg, sounds a lot smoother at idle than mine lol What was your reasoning behind the short ram tubes?
  8. How is it coming along Greg?
  9. Just drove past a silver R35 GT-R in South Windsor with the plates LOCKON.
  10. What's the intake setup cost you so far? I'm looking forward to seeing mine finished haha
  11. Dude it's looking super sweet!! I'm going to put down 185rwkw Can't wait to get my cam regrind down. Once you have your dyno sheet can you post it up so it'll give me a good idea of what cams (reassure myself of my cam choice) im going to drop in.
  12. Dude get this on the ground already so we can go cruising like in the old days and hold up traffic for ages hahaha
  13. Well it's been a loooooooooooooooong time since I've done anything in here. At the moment this is the list of modifications: What it has: Adaptronic ECU 1 Bar Haltech Map Sensor Nismo Pressure Plate Chromoly Flywheel Cushioned Button Clutch Series 2 R33 GT-R Head Camtech Cams 290 degree (seat to seat), 263 degree (50 thou), 11.5mm lift - Biggest for RB26 from Camtech Adjustable Cam Gears Supertech Valve springs Supertech Valve Stem Seals Bosch 440cc Injectors Nitto Intake and Exhaust Gaskets Nitto 1.8mm Head Gasket Head Stud Kit for RB30DE/T setup Running very close to 12:1 compression RB25DE Pistons (slightly shaved) Mahle Motorsport Ring Set Balanced Rods Oil Restrictors ACL Race Main Bearings ACL Race Big End Bearings Crank has been grub screwed Crankshaft oil pump drive collar R33 GTS-T Oil Pump R32 GT-R Water Pump Ross Tuffbond Harmonic Balancer Lewis Engines Race Sump 7.5lts Gated Splitfire Coilpacks Rebuilt HR31 GTS-X radiator Head to Sump oil/air separator Tuned Equal Length Hurricane Extractors 2.5" Mandrel Bent Exhaust 3" Stainless Steel Cat Hotdog Mega flow rear muffler (straight through style). 4.11 mini-spool diff Current power output has dropped off to around 144rwkw, but I'm saving for a cam regrind which will hopefully push the power back up and make some useable power down low again
  14. It's running RB30 rods and 25DE pistons, ACL race bearings for everything and standard crank as well.

Hey I was looking at some old posts and I noticed you have done exactly what I plan to do on my engine build. I was wondering if you have any advice? like If you were to do it again is there any thing you would change?

I have an RB30E block from an R31 a RB26DETT head from a R33 v spec II and some RB25DE pistons and some shagged TOMEI RB26 B cams to regrind and an adaptronic cpu.

the plan is to get race bearings, N1 oil pump + crank coller, N1 water pump, cometic head gasket, ceramic coat the pistons and hand built extractors.

  15. This one doesn't have the torque curve on it but it sits almost flat from 2000 to about 6000rpm at around 350Nm.
  16. 10.5:1 is doable for comp, I'm running over 12:1 at the moment (but I have a GT-R head siting on my block though) and it sings along quite nicely right through to 7200rpm (damn stock GT-R cams!) and I'm also using the RB25DE pistons. Either way you'll have to get a re-map on the ECU or a full aftermarket item. Keep the GTS2 as standard as possible cause they are a nice looking car. To get your goal of 130rwkw you'll probably need, re-tune, compression (should be able to get away with 11:1), lighter flywheel, some sort of balancing (rods, crank or whatever you choose to do), a clean up of the head just to get it neat and a good exhaust (decent extractors, good cat, 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust will do the trick and good mufflers). That should see around your goal power output. The bloke you are talking about with the worked SOHC RB30, the current forum member that owns it is Nudge. The motor went into his white silo that he has. It only manged that quarter mile time (13.7 is the fastest recorded) due to the fact that the car had almost been completely stripped and it's current power output is 154rwkw.
  17. Went back for a Retune with the new exhaust, I am now making 154.6rwkw (207Hp) as far as I know it's the 2nd most powerful N/a RB in Australia.
  18. Just an update, had new exhaust put on the car, went from 137rwkw to 152rwkw, so i'm finally making 200hp at the treads.
  19. Had a proper exhaust system installed in the car, it has a 3" stainless steel cat, 2.5" mandrel bent piping (under the diff), hot dog, and a straight through rear muffler. the old power was 138rwkw went back onto the same dyno and it pulled 152rwkw so I have officially made 200hp at the treads now, it needs a bit of a tune now so I'm hoping it won't lose to much power when it goes in for a tune.
  20. Item: Tomei Camshaft 256 (IN/EX) 9.25mm lift Suit: R32/R33 RB26 head Condition: Brand new still in original packaging Price: $850 FIRM I'm interested in these cams, I take it these are just drop in cams? I thought that the max lift you could go on the 32/33 GT-R head was 9.15mm not 9.25mm without upgrading the springs though?
  21. Well 200rwkw is achievable yes, but at a price. Personally i would find the nearest bridge and throw that head off it has hard as I could. There are more gains to be had with a 26 head for only a few $100 more. If that 25 head hasn't got VCT then you should be ok but you'll never be able to run as big a cam in the 25 head then what you can in the 26 head without changing the head to a solid valve train (Which is what the 26 head comes from factory) and that is where basically the majority of the power will come from. I could have bought a V-Spec 32 GTR for the money that I've spent on my motor so far, If you are mechanically minded it'll be quite cost effective and how far you go with the build (i.e. complete rebuild or just slap some parts together and hope for the best.)
  22. Update for mine: 15.3 @ 92 mph RB30DE R31, 4.11 minispool, 137 rwkw. Had mad axle tramp off the line
  23. Few from a couple of months back: And A bit of 31 love:
  24. I've had a 4.11 minispool diff put in since the last update and so far have run a best of 15.3 @ 92mph down the quarter and are keen when it gets colder to drop into the 14's later on in the year.
  25. Yep should definitely be going to this tomorrow
