hi every body i am thinking of buying a cheep cat and hollowing it out and then welding in a pipe so that i dont get flow stagnation and so if i get pulled over and a cop checks under the car it will look like the cat is still there. and i will keep the old one so i can put it back on if i have to go threw the pits. what dose every body think will i get more power? has any body else done it?

that is to bad i use to run mine on 1bar a wile ago and was going to do it when i next go down to the track now im not ever going past 7psi i cant afford my car lol but i have gone with out my car for a wile and it is hard but sometimes u have to. i say save-up and get a new turbo but dont go stupid 1bar is plenty so i say go with something that can do 1 bar safely and if u need more power there are other things u can do to add that extra kick

i had a similar problem i put in new plugs and the i silicon up the coils because there were arcing on to the head i have seen this problem allot and most of the time the coils get replaced i couldn't afford it so i got some hi temp silicon gasket goo and that stopped that problem and yes closing the gap on the plugs will fix the problem 2 a extent a but u dont what the gap to be to close because that causes other problems. the ignition system on skyline is real bad in my onion i like the old school ignition system with a distributor and coil because it is cheaper there are more options and bigger spark but any why i see it as u have 2 options use silicon or get new coils

mine has cracks. yes more than one and it still runs good one day may put in a high performance steel one with no clutch or go thermo

i did replace the o2 sensor and the car still ran the same i have no idea why my car ran the same with the o2 sensor in and when it was out with (the old one) and then i went back 2 the spark-plugs i pulled them all out again and the one 3ed from the front was pissing out some milky crap and so i checked the oil and the coolant to see if it was a head gasket all clear and no other spark-plugs had this problem so i swapped the shit spark plug out for a old one that i know works until i have a chance to go out and get a new set because i have had it with these platinum ones im going to copper plugs. well any why the car runs real good with the shit spark plug out maybe even better probs because of the o2 o and by the way "Guilt-Toy" i dont know any body with a amf so how do i test it what go and buy one. not every body has $$$ to throw around and "blind_elk" u were 100% on the money but the car does run good with a new o2 no stuttering when i am idling so not a complete wast of time thx for the help everybody i will post pix of the dud plug some time 2day

im 90% that it is the o2 sensor that is shitting it self so i think i will replace that because it runs the same when it is plugged in and when it is un plugged also if u see a skyline in WA that sounds like it is about to die it is me and the cops in WA ant 2 bad because i haven been puled over even with all of the engine problems

well it is 100% not the AMF and i reset the ecu and still no luck

i have checked all of my cooler piping taken it all apart and put it back 2gether and it still runs bad i now think that the amf is sending the wrong signal or the ecu is sending the wrong signal does any body know how to check that amf 2 see if it is working without trying somebody else amf because i dont know any body with a skyline also how to reset the ecu and could this fix the problem ?? and any other ideas for trouble shooting would be much appreciated

i checked the spark-plug's and there fine

i just cleaned my AFM with some AFM cleaner it cost like $25 biggest rip off the car still runs like shit i have to go to work now will be back working on the car in 5hr

hay i just left home to day to get a oil filter so i could change my oil and 2min's in to driving the car just started to run like shit missing cylinders all over the place and there was a lot of traffic so i just kept on going got the part and headed home and i tried keeping the revs low and that didn't work so i kept the revs high but not stupid between 3g and 4g and the problem went away. but i think that the ecu could be dumping fuel in to the motor and i think that makes sense because why else would it run fine in high revs. also my fuel economy was shit in low and high rpm so i think i know what the problem is and now how do i fix it. need help asap because im going down to be racing my car next week my car is a nissan skyline r33 gtst s2 auto i was shitting my self there was a cop like 2 cars back almost all the was home and im seating on 1st and 2nd omg very lucky

i had the a similar problem the car just shat it self after i did some work to it and i went throw and checked every thing i had know idea what was wrong. my dad had a look and a plug wasn't pushed in properly and u know what it was the AFM it wasn't plugged in properly. it is always the one thing that u forget to check lol like my uncle he has a old monaro with every thing done to it mid 2 low 10sec car and one day it just shat it self and died and he didn't know why. he thinks that it was the alarm that he just fitted so he takes it to the mechanic the guy reaches under the car and knocks on the gas tank it was bone dry. omg lol lol lol i was like.

i have herd about the crushing of cars and it isent going to happen unless the person deserves it so no real problem with that but i have also herd about under cover cops in ns cars trying to egg on other ppl now that is just wrong. is it even legal for them to do that. fine if they just drive the car around normal that is fine but if they start to rev that car at lights and give it some shit that is just crossing the line. and just putting it our instead of the car crusher what would u do to stop burnout's "hooning"?

just change the entire wiper it is the best option in my opinion because that is what i did. lolz

i have a R33 GTS25T S2 auto the auto doesn't go in to 4th it sits on 3rd i dont know but could it be the shift cable plying up because it is loose because i do shift the auto allot any help will be appreciated not really that concerned at the moment also i was in the garage and i put it in to park and the park didn't engage until i took my foot of the brake and the car moved dont know if this is normal or not i dont know much about transmissions

it is just the throttled body has been adjusted so that it is always open. this does not mean that it is all of the way open is may only just a little. i dont think it will damage any thing when u back off as long as ur not idling to high. but dont take my word for it. the way that i see it is if nothing bad has happened and there ar no funny sounds then it should be fine

i voted V8 but i also agree with ^ confusing u much the poll was putting a GTR up agents a R33 V8 nobody will be V8ing a GTR they will do it to a model of skyline that there are more of like R33 GTS it is like when i see R34 Vspec nur's for sale and the ppl have changed turbos, changed rims, and done body work this real pises me of big time if u are going to do that to a skyline do it to a base model not one that they only made 750 of dont quote me on that number plz o and thx every body to contributing the the poll and i hope that more ppl can add to it

the V8 has to be a small block because in the real world a big block will be real hard to fit in a skyline ford sell out of the box motors fully dressed with +500hp and it is a small block and good for daly driving http://www.fordracingparts.com/crateengine/modularcobra.asp so the small blocks can put out a bit more power then ppl give them credit for or on the other hand u can go with a RB26 which is still real good

hi i do under stand that this is a skyline website and i my self have a skyline and it is my pride and joy but just putting a hypothetical out there lets say that u were offered a R33 GTR for free stock and no strings attached but then the person giving u the car says that for free they will put a V8 like the ford aluminum 4.8L DOHC or GM small block that is similar u get the idea would u keep it stock or will u get the V8 this is my first poll so soz if i stuffed it up

i ended up conecting the antenna to the ignition switch so when it is at the aac position the antenna goes up. so when the car is on the antenna will go up i did try connecting the antenna to the blue and white wire but it didn't work and i couldn't be bothered trouble shooting and for the orange/white wire i just didn't bother i prefer it on full brightness any way but if i change my mind it easy to fix thx for the help every body haven't run it with my speakers i will tell u how it goes
