DOT 5 is really not for u hear is why. ur brake system has a glycol based brake fluid in it now and glycol brake fluid absorbs water. when u bleed the system for dot 5 u will not get all the glycol brake fluid out and when the brake fluid gets hot u will have steam in ur brake lines this is bad. dot 5 needs to be bleed a lot more then glycol brake fluid because if any water gets in u will get corrosion because the dot 5 will not absorb water, this is why the u get steam in the above section. most ppl will use dot 4 and nobody has problems with it. i dont know about dot 5.1 but i have heard it will make ur ABS angry.

well i did mine my by following the bleeding procedure but i bled each caliper until the new brake fluid came through. thinks to do -keep the brake fluid above the min mark on the brake u must do all u can to keep air from getting in the system -try to keep the caps on all the brake fluid to minimize water absorption from the air -i think i got by with one bottle of brake fluid (no idea in ml there all pretty similar though) but 2 is ideal. just so u have some on hand just incase any 1 want to add to this go for it

here is a update. i got a second hand JL 500/1 V1 for $300 (couldn't get the response amp) and a new DD1508. the amp is all mounted and wired up. i just dont have enough time for the FRP box. i have finished the basic shape now i need to make a mold so i can make the final product. right now i have a temporary box made from a corona box and a scrap 38mm kitchen top. its not perfect but it will do 4 now. the FRP box will be sealed at first, but im making allocations for a external port will probs post pics 2moro

Rules For Driving In Perth And Somethings Bunbury

7. Speed limits are arbitrary figures, given only as suggestions and apparently not enforceable in the metro area during rush hour. this is so me awesome read -

i have been going to RPH for quite some time and i always get picked up and dropped off just outside the emergency entrance and i just got so fed up i had to post something. Problems -ppl smoking with IV's in there arms -ppl smoking around there children -the fact u have to walk past all these smokers to get into the hospital -the parking there is for 15min drop off and pick up so why are there cars with nobody in them sitting there for more that 30min (i use my watch) -ppl that just stop in the middle of the road there and get out of there car. -when the taxi lain fills up taxis just stop in the middle of the road when i drive there i park in the multi story parking and pay big$$$ why the hell can these ppl do the same. what if a ambulance had to leave they would have to back out of the emergency section taking a stupid amount of time because of these idiots that blocked of the road.

i asked the same question but nothing much for a response look at replacement alternators for the RB30 commonwhore if ur looking at new (more available and should be a direct fit more or less) but if ur looking at a alternator from another make or model of car, ur guess is a good as mine u should get ≈90A out of the stock R33 alternator so if ur looking at going bigger 120A or in my opinion ur just wasting ur time

Battery Light: Alternator Or Battery Or Voltage Regulator?
08yannch replied to sauguest's topic in General Maintenance
nice to know ur skyline is fixed "well for me" i what bigger because of a 400w RMS a/b amp + 500w rms D class amp = high power demands. and the stock one should be able to handle it as long as i dont crank the system all the time. but i think knowing about alternative alternators would come in handy in the event my alternator shits itself. -
Battery Light: Alternator Or Battery Or Voltage Regulator?
08yannch replied to sauguest's topic in General Maintenance
alt fuse is in the boot from memory. but from what i have read above any angry fuse can cause problems ^+1. this has been addressed b4. the battery regulates the power acting like a buffer and if u remove it. it is very likely u will kill your ECU concerning alternator. does any1 know of a model of car the has a higher output alt that fits the RB25DET? -
looks awesome keep up the good work
-
so it was the fuse. chopped "sapphiregraphics" jks nice to hear everything is working again
-
-
i dont know what else it could be... maybe a angry wire that is earthing out? but then the fuse would have blown. hmmm maybe get the audio wire diagram for your car and for ur head unit and check that everything is were it should be
-
looks like a pretty good setup. we what pictures NOW just a couple of things 150W RMS x 4 is for 2Ω a 4Ω load results in less power and what is powering the sub
-
sounds like u have blown a fuse. dont worry its easy to fix. u know the fuse compartment on the drivers side in the car? look in there and i think its a acc fuse i could be wrong just check them all and replace. i had similar thing happen to me so i checked each fuse (stupid Japanese righting ) the reason. because u were drawing over the 20A that the fuse is made to brake at when u put the TV in the car
