  1. Normally about $10 to get thru the gate. Bring your own alcohol, deck chair and sit back and watch the mayhem. Car parking is around the track so you can basically sit in front of your car, Its all pretty casual.
  2. It's not to much further to Pt Pirie after the show on Saturday, Crash up there for the night and show the 1000 commmodore drivers doing mainys some decient cars.
  3. The next round of the State championships are at Pt Pirie in two weeks (oct long weekend) on the sunday, racing starts at 8:30 am . I think they already have about 100 cars nominated. I would love to see you skyline boys up there, I think you guys will enjoy it. You will see every thing form well engineered big hp space frame cars to wrecking yard mad max style cars all thrown in together. Guys up at Ceduna are currently building a space frame R32 GTR, but it may not be ready in time. If you guys are keen to come up give Matt at Growly Custom Maching a call (0447739992) and he will help you out.
  4. Not in this case my friend. We are currently building a car very similar to Dales new project, with the same power to weight ratio of a v8 touring car for less than $10,000 ,a fraction of the price of a built GTR . Very fast cars have been built for alot less and there are also sedan classes , mid mount an RB in anything light like a silvia= alot of fun. Dirt circuit is currently the largest motor sport in S.A With aprox 400 + cars but is largely unknown in Adelaide ( Although a track within 100km of the CBD is in the planning). Speeds of 200kph are regularly achieved on the 9 tracks in S.A . Its not oval racing its circuits including straights chicanes and hair pins, club membership is $30 a year and $10 entery fee per race meeting which makes it the fastest cheapest motor sport around, anyone keen? There's nothing like drifting a car at 150 kph+ with 8 other cars inches away, especially when you are blitzing a blown 600hp mid mounted chev in your jap powered weapon .
  5. For your sake, I hope Dale dosn't take up your offer. You have just challenged a multiple Australian Dirtcircuit round winner to a race in a car that should lap quicker than a v8 supercar on bituman . I have been lucky enough to do a few laps in his last car, without much racing experience I still managed to hit 0-160 kph in 200m on dirt and wheel spinning all the way. I know Matt (GR custom cnc) , Dales brother quite well and have had some input on the new car. At the moment It may not look much but It will be built to the tolerances of a gp car :- all the suspension is currently being built on a cnc machine center using a suspension analising program. The track will have 100mm of adjustment on each wheel. The front cross member can be moved forward and back 300mm. It will run a 2:1 steering multiplier .The under side of the car includes a huge sidways expansion venturi with flexiable skirts to seal on the track. It has a 50/50 weight split and center af gravity a good 300-400mm lower than a skyline. It will have front and rear wings the same as a pikes peak openwheeler and even the air flowing thu the radiators will be diverted to the rear wing. I am not biased as I have a mate with a 400kw gtr but it just dosn't compare in acceleration and mid corner speed to a mid mounted, purpose built race car with no suspension restrictions. You may have your chance to put your money where your mouth is out at mallalla late next year.
