  1. well it is mostly a street car, but it will be tracked probably not more than 3 or 4 times a year. i will get my car serviced for the 100,000 km and i just wanted to use the best stuff since i dont get to change the diff and gearbox oils that often. plus its never a bad idea to use the best affordable things for your car,,, thanks to everyone for the advice.
  2. sweet,, thanks for the replys guys,,, does anyone know how much to use in the gearbox and the diff of a GTT so i just can buy the right amount??
  3. can someone recommend for me what is the best oil for my GTT it doesn't matter how much is the price, i just need to know what is the best to use for my diff and my gearbox and how many liters do i need for each,, thanks to everyone in advanced btw i am pretty sure that the answers are on the forum but honestly i did a research and couldn't find my answers
  4. i want to buy an R34 GTT 3" intake pipe similar to the one in this thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Fs...27#entry5264227 i would prefer one that is made for a GTT thanks for the help in advanced
  5. i was trying to disconnect the fuel pump fuse in my r34 GTT but couldn't find the correct fuse,,, can anyone help please??
  6. hey mate,, is that blown turbo still for sale?? is there any pictures of it?
  7. -why are you saying that the cooling pro cooler is shit? i mean are they still shit for the kind of power i want to make which is 230rwkw?? (i’m not looking to make so much more power than that anytime in the next 2.5 years) -for the turbo, i wanted to get highflowed because i dont want to spend so much money on a new turbo + there is a chance it could get defected + the same reason as the above i dont want to make too much power ) -when i was researching for fuel pumps i didnt know whats the difference between internal and external fuel pumps. what kind do i need to get for a GTT? btw i should’ve clarified what i mean by stock looking earlier, i meant stock looking in the engine bay as much as possible. again thank you all for your help, i really really appreciate every reply
  8. i guess everyone agrees that highflowing the injectors is risky and i'm better off with an aftermarket injectors, from my research i found out that probably the nismo injectors are the best choice because they dont require any modification to the fuel rails or anything else and ( can someone correct me if i'm wrong please),,, i think for now i will keep the stock fuel system to achieve the 230kw i'm after, then maybe in the future i'll upgrade the fuel system when i feel that i need more power thanks everyone for your help really appreciate it
  9. thanks for the replies guys really helpful,, so what about highflowing the injectors, would it be the best way to go?? i'm not looking to get my car to make more than 300kw even in the future,,, also does anyone know about wether it is possible to get an engineer certificate for a FMIC in NSW??
  10. by saying get highflow , you mean only the turbo or also the injectors??
  11. hey everyone i want to do modifications to my 1998 r34 gtt but i still couldnt decide which parts to get for my car, so i need your suggestions and experince if you dont mind.. i want my car to look as stock as possible and i dont want it to be the best GTT in the world but i do want it to make good power like around 230-250 rwkw, and since i’m not a mechanic i’m not sure how to choose the right parts.... ok i will start with the mods i have in the car full exhaust system 3.5” i have apexi power fc+ boost control kit pod filter but i’m thinking about putting back the panel filter ( i need suggestions on that) i want to get -front mount intercooler ( i need one that would bolt on straight and uses the original smic pipes, but after researching i realized there is no such a thing as bolt on without modifying the front bar and cutting) ,, the one i have been looking at is http://justjap.com/store/product.php?produ...=339&page=1 (if you know one better than this one and doesnt need any modifying for a GTT please tell me and all suggestions are welcome) would i be able the get the intercooler engineered in NSW? -high flow the stock turbo ( as i am looking for good response and stock look but cant decide should i get hypergear to do it for me or GCG?) -injectors, i was thinking about hi flowing the stock injectors instead of buying aftermarket ones to keep the car stock and will be cheaper, but is it going to be reliable and live long?? -fuel pump ( i’m not sure if i need one for the power i’m after?? would the stock pump be good enough?) i’m not even sure if the mods i want to do are good enough for the power i’m after so if someone thinks that i wont achieve 230-250 rwkw could he tell me what else do i need?and also could he tell me what kind of power will i be able to make with the mods i mentioned? all help and suggestions are welcome and thank you guys in advanced Baros B.

  13. yeah that was me in the white r34,, i saw your car your wheels look really nice mate
  14. i actually did alot of research and didnt find a diy for a GTT , i understand if people are sick of that topic and sorry for bringing it up... thanks for the advice
  15. i think the guide is very helpful to the people that know what they are doing,, unfortunately i'm not one of those people and i know the best thing for me is to take it to a mechanic and let him do it, but really i like to do things myself and like to learn stuff and i'm willing to take a chance to do it myself with the help of you guys,,, anyways i have many question and hopefully someone can help me i'll start with the GTT stock solenoid from the picture above you can see there are two hoses coming out of the solenoid, one goes to a pipe connected to the intake air filter (marked with a yellow line), and the other hose which is marked with a red line is connected to a (T joint), then this joint is connected to the wastegate actuator (marked in green line) and the other hose which is marked with blue is connected to the intercooler pipe.,,, in the Apexi solenoid there are 2 lables one is marked COM and the other NO, and in the guide paul made it says: COM line should goto wastegate actuator NO line should goto intercooler piping my questions are: (1) what about the hose that is marked with yellow? what am i suppose to do with it? (2) i’m wondering if i can just plug the apexi solenoid in the same plug that the stock solenoid is plugged in (marked in purple circle)? that is a picture of the apexi solenoid, there is a hole marked NC where the red arrow is pointing (3) what is that for? do i have to connect a hose to it? i’m guessing that what is circled in red on the picture above is the stock map sensor that needs to be replaced with the map sensor for apexi and connect it to the same hose that is connected to the stock map sensor, (4) am i correct?? (5) out of curiosity what is that circle orange thing that is in the middle? i really apreciate your help and thank you guys in advance.. i know that i asked many questions so all your answers and suggestions are appreciated
  16. thanks for the reply Russell yeah i'm sure of the size,,, but i went to do alignment and wheel balance today and found that my tyres so worn off they almost look like slicks,,especially the rear ones, i had them installed new a year ago so i've been on them for 20000km at most, and i didnt do the alignment since i installed them,,, i dont do burn off or drift with my car, but i drive fast,, do u think they are worn off because i didnt align them regularly or do u think that happened because of their size btw i did cut the black plastic where the used to rub when i turn sharply, but that was when i first fitted them on the car
  17. hey everyone, i want advice from you experienced guys,,, i have a r34 gtt and i want to get 18”rims,, i was thinking about getting the rear ones wider than the front ones but i dont want to do too much modification to my car to fit them,,, my question is what width rims should i get in the front and in the back and what offset?? btw right no i have on the car that fitting with no problems front: 17x8 235/45ZR17 rear : 17x9 255/45ZR17 thanks a lot for your help and adviceS
  18. i got an extra one
  19. thanks for the information everyone
  20. thanks guys for the advice,,,,just one more question, are carbon fiber bonnets illegal? are they considered a defect? can i get engineer certificate for them? thanks again for the help
  21. so if the car has a FMIC do u think that will be considered as a defect and wont be able to get a blue slip?
  22. anyone has any idea???
  23. hi guys and girls,,, i have a quick question for all of you and help is appreciated... my brother wants to buy a skyline from south australia from a friend of his and wants to bring it to nsw,, the car is modified a little , like carbon fiber bonnet, racing seats, rims, coil overs etc... the car doesnt have an engineer certificate and has parts that can be defected.. he is wondering that if he buys the car from his friend with new rego from south australia and brings it here nsw, he will have to transfer the registration to a nsw one,, my question is when he changes it to nsw ,is the rta going to ask him to get green slip and pink slip and all of that?? i mean are they going to check if the car has defects?? or is it going to be as simple as changing the plate from SA one to NSW ones and pay some little fee?... thanks in advanced for the help
