  1. My water pump stuffed up a couple of months ago and while we are on the topic! How long you think they should last... This might tell me how much my car has really done!
  2. Stock they are 4 seater... but when complied can be 4 or 5! I never have 5 people in the car anyway!
  3. Anyone know some good rims for a 4 stud R33???? I would love to get some 18" but would settle for 17" anyone selling some? or know where i might get some good ones? I hear sydney is the cheapest to get some imported ones? Any advice would be great.. CHEERS
  4. WOW... how much do those prices vary... Peoples trying to sell for the same price they bought??? LOL DONT PAY MORE THAN 15000... If you are you may as well get a turbo... seen NA's for sale in car yards for $13 and $14.. As far as them being gutless... I have beaten 1 GTST.. But it was very close... Why you looking for NA when turbos are almost the same price... I believe that is why most people are selling their NA's... Want to upgrade..
  5. Is 142Kw Stock or modified? ie. Extractors? If stock how much faster you think Extractors would make the car?
  6. I was going to get some extractors soon! Why the huge difference between coby extractors and fujitsubo extractors?? Does it make a big enough difference to warrant the noise and money? Secondly I only have a stock exhaust and would change at the same time! What brands would be good at reasonable price? Can any one tell me the KW given before or after? I really have no idea what the power of my NA R33 is???
  7. Thanks heaps for the help guys.. I will try your mechanic Suny!!! Thanks alot Slip Hope I can get it fixed soon! If it is the timing, Could that be the cause of less power???
  8. The sound is nothing like a humming it is more like coins rattling or something! Sometime it doesnt happen at all and others you can almost hear it when it is idling all the way through to 6000rpm. It seems to be worse after I have given it a bit of stick.. After driveing it hard the rattle is constant. after a long easy drive it is not there at all ???? Different fuel also makes it worse.. When I run plain unleaded it is really bad and when I run BP Ultimate it seems to be a hell of a lot better! When it is making the noise it doesn't feel like it has as much power! You think it is doing any damage??
  9. Can someone please help me?? Had my R33 GTS services about a month ago, changed timing belt. Ever since I have had a really bad rattling noise from the engine... I assumed the timing would be out so I took the car back and told them they got it wrong They had the car for a couple of days and told me there was nothing wrong... So I took the car to another mechanic who also said there was nothing wrong...???? I am certain there is something wrong with the engine but I cant afford to keep taking it in for services.. Can anyone help or does anyone know a mechanic who knows what the hay they are doing, situated in the Brisbane / Gold Coast area???
  10. Thanks Guys
  11. streamer.. I get the same sound sometimes when I turn a corner, sounds like the right hand front wheel to me...? I thought it may be something in the steering mechanism.. I would also like an answer on this one? Ta...
  12. I manage a caltex servo on the Gold Coast and it has the worst premium grade fuel I have used I never use Caltex Vortex it doesnt have the RON of the other brands... You can tell by the difference in price between the unleaded. Vortex is generally 5 cents dearer than unleaded at Caltex, BP ultimate is generally 8-10 cents dearer !!! I only run ultimate where possible, If I cant I use Optimax.... These two give better mileage which offset the extra cost.. Never really liked Mobile after all the deal with the aviation fuel getting diluted in our petrol so I havnt tried them! The other good thing to do is run Nulon petrol treatment.. by far the best. Its a red container.
  13. I am in the middle of an install atm.. but I am only installing one 12" sub on the right hand side of the boot. (wanted to take up as little room as the boot is already small!) as for the amp it is mounted on the right hand side of the battery well. Fits perfectly with a couple of aluminium brackets. I was also thinking of building a perspex window in so i could see the amps... So for it has cost me $40 for all the wood an the aluminium all from bunnings... All I need now is some carpet to cover the sub box when im done and this should be pretty cheap option... i'll post some pictures tomorrow of where I am up too.
