  1. Got datalogit today so hopefully I can jump in there and check a couple things soon
  2. Got me stuffed where the attessa ecu is. Pull my trim apart today and couldn't find it it front or behind the strut tower. Do I need to remove the back seat or something? Can I just plug in consult and see if anything shows up? Even though I'm running a power fc? Pump primes on start up and every now and then sitting at idle I hear it come on for a moment and then off again
  3. I have the tune file, and it's only the hand controller that's locked apparently. I guess I'll find out soon enough.
  4. I have the hand controller but it's currently locked out. I should have my own copy of fc datalogit next week. I have notes of what settings were what before the tune so I should have a couple things to reference from.
  5. Power fc. Once datalogit arrives I'll be able to get started. Also goes lean on initial throttle input but comes good once throttle is steady and revs pick up
  6. I have a wideband in the car all the time. Seems to be a lot leaner on initial start up than it used to be.
  7. Cheers. Yeah when I get some time I'll pull everything off and whip out the die grinder. Exhaust only has a mid muffler and rear cannon. Was considering removing the mid muffler or replacing it with something that is documented to flow more than I need. I'm willing to got 3.5 inch cat back if that's what it takes. I'm not worried about noise, as long as it doesn't drone
  8. Yeah my last tune was low 11's. Still have an issue with having to hold the throttle open on cold start for it not to die, I'm thinking this may be an iacv adjustment that'll fix that
  9. Have purchased datalogit, just going to source some knock detection gear and see what is what I guess. I'm going to throw some more fuel in at wot, even if it is "rich", I'll feel better for it. And the amount of time is spend in that region it won't hurt my economy much.
  10. Does anyone have a pic of where the atessa ecu is in a s1 c34? And how much interior trim do I have to remove to get to it? I have one of those electronic torque split controllers fitted (been in the car since I e owned it) and if I turn it up above say 2, the 4wd and abs lights come on. Is that a normal function due to the way they are wired in? I know it does it switching from 4wd to 2wd. Really want 4wd for launches. Probably break drive shafts but I have spares.

  12. Lol I have no doubt you'd be right there
  13. Might be time for an exhaust manifold and bigger exhaust then if that's the case. Thanks for your input.
  14. No it wasn't base map, it had been tuned a year ago and had been adjusted via the hand controller using my wideband recently. Finding a vac leak isn't an issue, having it re-tuned is. I traveled halfway across the country and may well have to do it again.
  15. Whatever the case may be, I'm back in the middle of nowhere with little in the way of options other than to drive back down there or truck it. Not like I can just drop it off at a workshop for the day. Either that or fly someone here to look it over.
  16. I drove 1500km to get to the dyno and the car had developed a high idle after about 1200km of driving that day. Prior to that it was 1100 cold, 850-900 once warm. But when I got down to be tuned it was 1100 all the time. Not lumpy, just a smooth 1100. I couldn't be 100% that it was checked or it was assumed to be correct.
  17. Yeah it was idling high so the timing was pulled back to rectify that. I'm not about to adjust the cas as it was tuned for where it's at now.
  18. According to the tuner my wideband gauge reads leaner than his from the dyno. Was looking at ign timing on the power fc at idle and it's showing 10 deg but I could've sworn my cas was set at 20 deg and it was marked and doesn't appear to have been moved.
  19. Timing belt hasn't been touched and never had an issue with last tune 12 months ago. Now has bigger turbo that should breathe alot better so maybe the exhaust is now a restriction. I will see what I can do to fatten it up in peak torque and at wot
  20. They might be 7's in there. Can't remember, and I didn't check when I had them out last week.
  21. Already have a wideband installed in the car. Thanks for the advice Tao. Gives me somewhere to start and hopefully gives some gains
  22. It's a 1500km (Adelaide to Alice Springs) drive to get back to him so I will just have to live with it for the time being. I will check and dress the dump and just get a 3.5 inch exhaust made to be certain I can rule that out. I was told it was pinging so he got out of it straight away.
  23. Standard cas. He said it would only take 7 degrees and was expecting 12 or more. Power does seem low for the turbo but torque seems to be ok. Car made 263rwkw and 750nm of torque. Mainline dyno. I'll have to pull the dump off and check that out Tao. If that's the case, I will drag out the die grinder and open it up a little and make sure it's all nice and smooth.
  24. 20psi, hypergear atr45sat near new, front mount (not return flow). Coil packs had just started to break down 1500km (driving home km's) after tune. Plugs are bcpr6es gapped at 0.7, base timing has been checked over a few times now. No oil on plugs or in cooler. Runs atmo catch can not recirculating. I will replace coil packs once they arrive. I'm still curious as to what difference removing the mid muffler would make.
