I dont want to stick with the corolla man hence the question. Anyway i am willing to look into a turbo skyline but after research. Thats why it was never really considered. I would rather research and ask questions than buy a turbo skyline and decide to sell it. I wouldn't mind a non turbo skyline. The extractors etc wouldn't be so i can beat a GTR etc at the lights. I just want the nice sound and other things.

Nice fuel consumption on your car mate. Every time i see this i think i should get a turbo skyline. Its just that this cars take 98octane so keep thinking at the back of my mind it may cost a bit to drive around. He said about 15litres but he does have extra boost (or some word he used) and different fuel pumps etc and computer. Anyway i am really going to look into the Skyline turbos. 12litres doesnt sound too bad. Any idea what revs the RPM kicks in. Something to consider in stop go driving.

Thanks for your responses guys. I was gonna get a WRX but after driving a non turbo skyline i liked the space in the car and although it was 2 door, the rear seats had ample room. Iam now really thinking of a Skyline non turbo, getting extractors and cold air intake etc. I know its not going to be a WRX but i love the idea of rear wheel drive. I have a neighbor who has a R32 Skyline turbo and he says he averages 15 liters per 100km. He pretty much drives the same route as me etc so not really interested in a turbo skyline. Plus a non turbo skyline is cheaper to buy and insure than a WRX. Only probs i can see is with access to spare parts etc.

Hey Mate, the spoiler doesnt look like a standard. Dont think the N/A versions came with a spoiler. Also when was the major service done? All belts, plugs replaced. If not that you will not get the price you are after.

Its really tempting mate. By the way whats the shift kit? Is it the same as trip tronic? Also if converted to manual, would it cause any probs with engine later on or anything. can a 6 speed be linked with this? Still works out cheaper to buy this car and convert to manual. Selling my car next monday (fingers crossed, finance pending) so may thing about this.

Thanks guys, About the brake caliper paint i found a DIY on this site. Got to find a weekend to do it and get drunk while painting it. 1)I went to a dealer today and talked to 2 car owners from Car Sales and they are running either 95 Octane or 91. I thought only 98 could be run on this cars. 2)Some guy has short throw shift gear in his car. what does this do and am i able to remove it. 3)I saw 3 cars in total so far and one had Maxxis tyres and one Bob Jane Performance tyres. They any good or will i have to change straight away. cheers

Hi guys, i am getting a R33/34(prefer34) NA RB25DE Skyline. I am 24 so turbo rule doesn't apply to me. i want something cheaper to run (than a turbo) but with descent performance and handling compared to Falcon and Commodores. First thing i will do is get good rubber if not there already. 1)Am i able to rev the engine to say 5000revs a few times a week without harming engine. (Will get services done every 5000km etc) 2)Looking for some upgrades when I get the car. How much would better suspension set me back. 3)Would i get any extra KW aftergetting extractors and Exaust installed. How much will i be looking to spend. 4)How hard is it to find parts for this car e.g. timing belts, brake pads etc And my last question may sound very supid, dumb, childish and idiotic but please bare with me (you can have a laugh) I love the idea of seeing those red brake caliper on cars that can be seen through the alloy wheels, you know like the Brembo ones. Is there anything you can get to make that effect happen. Seen most R33/34's have the Black Nissan caliper. thanks guys.

Hi guys I have seen a few 1996 -97 NISSAN SKYLINE ECR33 SERIES II GTS going for just under $10k They have all done roughly 85k-105k km. 1)How much do you guys think it need to set aside for major service and what would need being done (All belts i guess) 2)What is a short throw shift kit (Anything to do with short shifting setup, should i stay away from it?) 3)Since i will be well under budget, how much would it roughly cost to do exausts and if they are worth doing it in a NA R33. thanks guys

Thanks for your reply, my budget is $15,000 max. Looking at some ads on CarSales last night, i saw a few 96-97 NISSAN SKYLINE R33 GTS they look very nice indeed. They are well priced as well. You got how many KW they got and a rough 0-100 time. (just curious thats all)
