  1. Interested, but have no idea how much you want for them.
  2. G'day guys and girls, I am looking into some Tein SuperStreets but I would like some input from others about where to purchase them from. From what I have seen, Nengun are the cheapest online, hovering around the $1700 mark including shipping, depending on the dollar. Greenline and RHDJapan also stock them but initially appear more expensive. I have not got any quotes from local distributors as I fear they are going to be excessively expensive. Has anyone purchased from Nengun that can vouch for the speed/ease of ordering and delivery? Any other ideas? (I dont want to buy second hand.) Cheers all Chris
  3. I'm running 225/50 on s15 rims- they look waaay better than 205s and I didnt notice any deficiency in handling. That being said, even with the old cheap Kumho 205s, I had no problems with straight line traction unless I dropped the clutch on launch. They were even good for reasonable 1/4 mile times!
  4. +1 I have the JustJap item, wish the Blitz CS ones were available when I bought it. Fitment requires a bit of fiddling, but once it is on its a neat unit. Still, for the money, I'd get the Blitz one
  5. It's been done to death, people have been doing it for eons. I've done it a few times- most often gives the desired outcome, but I probably wouldn't do it again.
  6. Can you hear any unusual noises when under load (ie when the turbo would normally be creating boost)? If you have any hissing/screeching noises you may have a boost leak. Check all your intercooler pipes for loose clamps/ splits or blown hoses. If you are getting 'bov' noise it is unlikely your turbine wheel has fallen off, so I would be looking at a boost leak first, then checking to see if your internal wastegate flap is stuck open. If all that fails, unbolt the cat and look for ceramic!
  7. I know there is mountains of literature on the SK setup- my only question is how are people going about purchasing a setup like this now that the group-buys are no longer operating? I'm tempted to look at the BC line of coilovers (fron JustJap) but I know the Bilstein/Whiteline is a superior bit of gear. Has anyone in NSW bought a SK kit equivalent recently? I know I can get standard bilstein shocks at any suspension place, but I liked the idea of the circlip-groove adjustment. Where are people buying from? Costs? Any other info would be great.
  8. bumps. anyone want?
  9. Hi guys, For sale is my Innovate LC-1. I purchased this with the intention to fit it to my Skyline but I have never got the chance. I did try and get it working but ran out of patience. There are plenty of people using them, so I think it is probably my incompetence! I bought the unit second hand but I have not used the unit since I have owned it. I have wired it into a cigarette lighter plug for easy installation. Includes the following: Wideband O2 sensor LC-1 module Software Weld-in Exhaust bung I also purchased an additional USB to Serial Port adapter. Here is the official info page for the LC-1: http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/lc1.php I am chasing $200 for the Innovate. I will post up pictures over the weekend. Any questions, PM me! Chris
  10. Hi guys, I just thought I would share an experience with you all- this is not an attempt to slander anybody, just some observations I have made that I feel may of benefit to others. My best mate and I are upgrading the turbo on his project car and obviously needed new oil/water lines and fittings. Despite the fact that no expense has been spared on the car, we opted for the cheaper 'ProFlow' fittings, over the more expensive 'SpeedFlow' fittings. In the end, the saving was false- the quality of the 'ProFlow' fittings did not seem to be as good as the 'SpeedFlow' ones- the barb on the fittings do not sit securely inside the hose, and when tightening the locking collar, the hose would sometimes get pushed out the bottom. The braided line also seemed to fray badly, which hampered our efforts slightly. It must be stated for the record that neither of us are mechanics, but we have some reasonable experience and the ProFlow fittings were considerably more difficult to use than the SpeedFlow fittings we have used in the past. Their customer service experience was also not the best in dealing with issues/complaints. If you do decide to buy ProFlow fittings, ensure that you buy the correct fittings for the line. The '200' series hose ends will only fit '200' series hose and so on. (Common sense but confusing from their web-site.) End of the day, if you are tossing up between the two fittings, I would suggest SpeedFlow! As a side note, we have to thank Tim from Pirtek at Asquith for his help and high quality of customer service.
  11. Hi guys, I am really keen to start getting into some track work with the car. I need to spend a bit of money fixing a few things up but I want to start in the next few months - the only issue is I can not get a day off work during the week to go racing. It seems that most of the track days (Eastern Creek, Wakefield Park) are week-day events. Any ideas of some options for weekend racing?
  12. Spotted red R35 GTR 'FORUM' on Eastern Arterial Road the other day. Sounded tough
  13. I fear I have erred in creating this thread. My intentions were never to condone or legitimise street racing, I was simply issuing a general heads up to the SAU community. Admins, feel free to remove/close this thread before it gets any worse. I will keep it to myself in future.
  14. Non standard TYRES?! What?!
  15. Perhaps then you should leave the job of disseminating legal advice to a lawyer... Just a suggestion.
  16. Maaaaaaateeee... What happened to the corolla??!

Bet ya don't know who this is :-)

  17. I reckon you would have to be mad to risk it- I have had my unrestricted licence for years, but every time I get signalled into a roadside RBT station, (at least 4 times in the last 6 months!) the first question they ask is "are you a P-plater?"... Must be the childs face I have on..
  18. Hahaha yeah, thats what I meant! Holy crap I am having a stupid-head day!
  19. Yeah, yeah I was waiting for that... The warning was really intended for those who may, from time to time, engage in the odd traffic light battle... Ill leave it there.
  20. HI guys, Just spotted a pretty hot looking blue FG XR6 turbo with custom plates 'ROYAN1' around Parra area. Looks like an old-man racer but its an undercover fuzz car... just thought I'd give you all the heads up. Word
  21. Will you entertain swaps for anything?
