  1. OP: Do some research and learn what purpose the restrictor actually serves. It will answer all of your questions. This is a good start: https://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/oil_restrictor
  2. I think the stock oil feed has a restrictor in built in the banjo bolt. I would suggest leaving the restrictor out if its a journal bearing turbo. You also need to make sure the oil drain is done right for 2 reasons; 1. If it doesnt flow properly, you'll have too much oil pressure in the turbo cartridge and potentially blow oil past the seals. 2. If it leaks, its a great way to start an oil fire if it ends up spraying on hot exhaust parts. (Especially if the thing is running leaner than a marathon runner and everything is baking hot)
  3. Is the new POS turbo a ball bearing or journal bearing unit? If it's a journal bearing it will need plenty of oil flow to keep the bearing suspended, so probably don't need the restrictor. If its a BB turbo then leave restrictor in. Unless the oil seals are made of cheese so the manufacturers supplied a restrictor to prevent them from leaking.
  4. Honestly mate, You are better off buying this OP6 turbo (see pic below) and selling all the aftermarket stuff you bought. The OP6 (RB25NEO) turbo should bolt straight up and you can use all the OEM shit. Will cost you much less in the long run and will work as designed by Nissan, not dodge backyard customs
  5. Thanks heaps for taking the time to reply Dale- i very much appreciate it. I decided to keep the 3076 as it meets my needs for now. I have ordered a brand new 6boost with a single entry T3/ ext gate and got a new T3 / V band rear housing to go with it. I'm interested to see if it increases power/response but will be happy with just an increase in reliability and decrease in likelihood of turbo falling off the manifold!! Cheers!!
  6. Hate to thread jack- but OP do you also realise you will need a tune (or at least some dyno time to check everything) after you get it running?
  7. Disco i have a complete R33 intake manifold lying around if you want to borrow for testing/ playing around. At Blacktown NSW and ill be there on Sunday if you want to pick it up.
  8. HI SAUers, I have an R33 with a GT3076R on stock manifold with external gate welded to the exhaust housing. It was worked well but I am now upgrading the manifold to a high mount 6boost because my studs/nuts keep coming loose and I've had enough. I need to buy a new rear housing when I upgrade manifolds because the way the gate is welded to the current one means it wont fit. I have found a fair priced used 6boost manifold but it is a T4 twin entry (not twin scroll as it has only one gate provision?) QUESTION: Can I buy a T4 flanged rear housing that will fit the GT3076 in .82? Will it give me any benefit over the T3 flanged housing? Should I just buy a brand new T3 flanged 6Boost and get a T3 flanged housing. Thanks all Chris

  10. Tyres sold, everything else still available.
  11. Up for sale is an R33/R34 harness bar I had fitted to my skyline. Bolts into the seatbelt mounts and gives a sturdy frame to mount a harness to. Gives a much better harness angle than mounting harness to rear seatbelt holes in the floor. Difficult to post, so unless u arrange a courier i wont be sending it. Pickup Blacktown NSW or could deliver locally by negotiation. Has been fitted to an R33 and R34 with slight adjustments $250 ono

  16. I too am 'stuck' at high 200's (I don't really care!) But contributing nonetheless. 289rwkw at 20 psi - bone stock motor, manifolds - 3076 .82 with 45mm ext gate on turbine housing - 3" exhaust (proper 3") no cat, one cannon muff. Wastegate plumbed in - Fenix FMIC (non return flow) - no emissions gear - 1000cc injectors - e85 Im happy with it, but, like others im not sure what (if anything) is limiting the setup.
  17. Hi mate i have one. Located Blacktown but im away until 12.11 PM me if you are interested.

  19. Hey mate Ill take the wideband. Ill PM u shortly for details.
  20. Hi all, I have a stock airbox for an R33 gts-t for sale. Includes: - airbox - snorkel - k&n panel filter I have also included a custom made surround which replaces the airbox lid and leaves the K&N panel filter open to the atmosphere (kind of like an ARC airbox). The surround retains the air filter but gives heaps more induction noise. Going rate on eBay is about $120 so ill start there. Open to offers Located Sydney NSW
  21. Is that $1200 for the Hankooks on their own or with the rims?
  22. Hey mate any R comps in a 265/35 18? Cheers [emoji4]
  23. Love my NPC but I did have a problem with it wearing very unevenly and needed to have it repaired. Cannot say 100% whether it was clutch assy or flywheel problem, however.
