Hi guys, I have some R33 stocko 16x 6.5" rims here with near brand new tyres on. The rims have slight gutter marks/ stains on the spokes. No structural damage. The tyres are Kumho Solus 205/55 R16 2 are basically brand new- still have the markings on 2 have a very very slight amount of wear but still at least 95% left I bought them as a spare set of tyres but i need the space and cash now :-P Worth $700 new. Going to answer my own post- I found another topic on this and it looks like its the mainshaft bearing- Is it going to be worthwhile to have it replaced or wait until i replace the clutch? Is there a risk of it seizing/ damaging something else?

Hi all, New to this board but enjoying reading through eveything!! I have an r33 Gts-t Series 2. Std clutch as far as i know, bought it 2nd hand locally nothing in the receipts to say its been touched. P/O ran Royal Purple syth gearbox oil. With the clutch engaged (foot to the floor) quiet as a mouse- but With the clutch disengaged (foot off) there is a rattling noise coming from the bellhousing/ gearbox area. As soon as i depress the clutch again the noise stops immediately. The noise has become louder in the last month or so (i probably drive it harder than the P/O did) There is also some shudder when pulling away under low revs or when i ride it a bit too much (been there since i bought it about 2 months ago) Im thinking its the release bearing or something that is rattling but would like to know if anyone else has had similar probs. Wrong, backpressure is never a good thing, in NA or turbo applications. But turbo cars can get away with larger diameter exhausts than NA cars without losing low-RPM torque.
