It's an aftermarket or South African speedo, not the stock one. You'll find pretty much all Jap speedos only go to 180 due to Jap market cars needing to be speed limited to 180.
If it has the compliance vin it shouldn't be an issue, the Jap build plate isn't even needed for Aus registration. So long as it has the compliance plate/sticker and the compliance vin plate then it should be fine. Would wonder why it doesn't have the blue plate though, a mate of mine bought a car that was missing it that on closer inspection turned out to be a badly done cut and shut.
Hmm, did some playing around with my fast, got most 80s models to work again, 250 President is now there but your vin still doesn't work, if you have the model code I may still be able to search that.
I used VHT Engine Enamel on my block but used Ford grey instead of black, seems to have left a pretty tough durable finish, haven't heated it to cure yet but even so it's taken a few bumps during assembly and hasn't even touched the paint so should be pretty good.
I'm definitely keen, not right now but in the near future. Would need whatever the stock turbo uses for now so makes it easy enough, your highflow would use the same fittings?
