Speaking of which Duncan, when are you going to bring these in so we can see them? I have sent your photos to Rota and they want to see more. I imagine that they will replace them once they are satisfied they haven't been driven into any gutters. Ben - Otomoto

All-black Intercooler Kits For R33 And R34 $399
benhpi posted a topic in For Sale (Business Traders)
We have stock now of the new KKR black series intercooler kits to suit R33 GTS-25t and R34 GT-t. These kits use a 600x300x75mm delta-box tube and fin core which is lightly powder-coated black. The silicone hoses are also black and the aluminium pipes are anodised black. This makes for a very neat and unobtrusive installation as you can see in the photos. We also supply the kits with photographic instructions for installation. The kits are $399 complete with all clamps, bolts etc and can be picked up at our shop, located at 13 Bourke St North Parramatta. We can freight the kits for $30-70 depending where you are. -

Os Giken Twin-plate Clutch, Fully Rebuilt $1300
benhpi posted a topic in For Sale (Business Traders)
Otomoto is the Australian distributor of OS Giken products. Normally we do not sell used products, but these two clutches have been sitting in our shop for a long time so we decided to rebuild them and offer them for sale here. Both of these clutches are OS GIKEN TS2BD to suit Nissan RB engines. They have damper springs on the plates to reduce driveline shock and improve drivability. Each clutch has been fitted with a complete rebuild kit, so the clutch plates, center plate, floating pressure plate and cover bolts are all brand new. Each clutch also comes with a brand new bearing and carrier (standard size bearing and carrier cannot be used). An English installation manual also comes in the package. The flywheel and plate housing have been professionally machined on one of the clutches, while the other one did not require machining. A TS2BD is normally $2295 and we rate it at 480hp. Generally it is suitable for RB engines up to 300kW at the wheels. See www.otomoto.com.au for more info. Note that the site does not list this particular clutch for Skylines, but OS Giken do make it for Skylines and it is a popular model in Japan. These clutches are bolt-ins for the following models: VL Commodore with RB30 Z31 with RB20 (import) R31 Skyline with RB20 or RB30 (import or local) A31 Cefiro with RB20 C33 Laurel with RB20 HCR32 Skyline with RB20 BNR32 Skyline GT-R with RB26 pre January 1993 (models with push-type clutch) ECR33 Skyline with RB25 They can also be used in later model BNR32 GT-R, BCNR33 GT-R, ER34 Skyline and WGNC34 Stagea but you need to order the pull-push movement converter from us for an extra $440 (this will be supplied in place of the bearing and carrier). Cannot be used in BNR34 GT-R Both of these clutches will perform like a brand-new clutch, so at $1300 you are saving $995. Please PM me or email [email protected] for a freight price. Can also be picked up at Otomoto, 13 Bourke St North Parramatta. -
The 1.5-way is $1990, add $168 for the 2-way version

OS Giken's new LSD centres for R35 are now available in Australia. There are two types, the Superlock and the TCD. Superlock is more suited to racing use, having a more aggressive take-up, while the TCD is designed with special oil channels to get the smoothest take-up possible and long life, while still providing 100% locking under load. Both are 1.5-way, but the Superlock can also be ordered in 2-way. Superlock LSD centre $2380 TCD LSD Centre $3030 Please send enquiries to [email protected]

I have two 1974 240K 2-doors, both are plated as 240K GL, but one of them has 240K GT door trims and different tail lights (same as Jap spec)

I picked up an AR-X yesterday and this morning the HICAS light came on. Noticed that the earth strap connecting the hicas motor and exhaust to the body was fairly corroded so I changed it (just made one out of heavy gauge wire) and it was fixed. Try this before you spend any money on mechanics.

Os Giken R3c Clutch Help Needed!
benhpi replied to SLY33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Key thing with any OS Giken clutch is to make sure you have the right movement kit or bearing carrier for the clutch. A lot of people who have trouble with drivability are not using the right length carrier. Too long and the clutch may not engage properly, causing slip. Too short and the clutch will release very close to the floor, making it very jumpy. Also just generally having the wrong length (wrong by +/- 2mm or more) will have the fork on the wrong angle, so it takes more pedal effort and the take-up seems more sudden. -
How To Check The Used Suspension?
benhpi replied to Alfred Y's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Check the dampers (shocks) for any signs of leaking or visible wear on the shaft. Turn the shock upside down and use your weight to compress it. Each damper should take about the same amount of consistent effort to compress. They should then return by themselves to full extension fairly quickly. If some take a lot longer (or don't come back) they could be worn out. Make sure any damper adjustments are set to zero when you do this check. A shock dyno is of course much better but not free. -
Good track day for me, despite a number of issues with the car... popping out of third gear was one, the shower of fuel from my tank breather hose was another. Sorry to the open-top guys who got a faceful. Fatz timed a couple of laps for me and reckons I did 1:12.97 which I certainly hope to improve on when the suspension (and other things) are sorted. Abo I hope you enjoyed watching my spin into turn one hehe. Also thanks to Mr Cass for minding my bag. Nearly had to buy a new toothbrush...
