  7. thanks for posting the feedback, needing to get this done myself for the daily
  8. practical advice, no harm in over-accessing as there really is no such thing, silver also happens to be the most flattering colour when it comes to blemishes and scratches
  9. thanks for posting mate, always good to see new content being discovered
  10. I find car covers are good for cars being kept outdoors as it minimises the wear and heat hitting the paint, plastics and rubber lining in the sun - particularly if you drive the car say once a week on the weekends i had a dodge supercheap auto special for about a week before i decided it was both rubbish and abrasive on soft paint - i ended up going with a Kenco Tyvek car cover, the inner lining is developed with paint manufacturer DuPont meaning it will minimize damage to your clear coat the best thing about it however is that even thought it is weatherproof and UV resistant, it is the lightest car cover i have come across meaning you can put on and take off the thing by yourself without letting it touch the ground - also comes with repair patches incase you manage to rip or tear a hole in it Fit-wise i went with the large size which covered my R34 with the big trolley wing perfectly can be had for around $100 when there are sales http://www.superchea...258#Description pic of it on my car;
  11. are GT-t fronts the eyelet type? and are you after factory standard struts and springs? if so i have a good set of front OEM struts and springs with about 70,000ks on them, no noises, creaks, or leaks, just PM if its what you're after cheers dan
  12. for sure i think s15's and evos have really taken off with the hellaflush/jdmasf**k movement
  13. thought this would be some good news to post for those in sydney looking to get their hands on Final Inspection FI Sydney Coming Soon - Seven Hills For all you poor FI fans in Sydney that have to purchase online, you will soon have; - A very easy way to pick-up FI products, - Speak to a dedicated, Authorised FI Retailer, - A dedicated workshop for detailing services carried out by an Authorised FI Detailer - Regular Detailing Clinics for FI product customers and a lot more. in Sydney! Yes, we hear you, it is about time. But nothing good comes easily and quickly and old school FI customers will know that our products have trickled through slowly, but with the highest quality standards and with a wait that is always worthwhile, we're sure you'll find we've found the right company with the right people to add to the Final Inspection family for Sydney-siders. We will introduce you to the company shortly and may even organise some representatives from Head Office for a meet and greet very soon
  14. i think the problem for all sport cars are when they become affordable, it's great for those who love them and can only afford them as a result, but the flipside is alot of muppets will be getting into them treating/ricing it like their parents daewoo - big generalisation i know but generally the higher up the socio-economic food chain the car is the safer it is from hectics - bar queen street
  15. sorry all, totally forgot you had to be a member; feel free to use my log on for a read username: squareznboxez password: ocau
  16. morning all, i'm not one to buy into outside opinions, however i did find it interesting to find this on a non-car forum taken from OCAU; Now thesedays every 5th bloody car is a Skyline. While I agree they are nice cars, to me they've now lost that "special flare" they used to have. Gone are the days of *head turns to gaze at passing Skyline*, and in are the days of *Skyline passes with ethnic and BOV, head stays in same position*. 9 pages of glory here; http://forums.overcl...ad.php?t=125943
  17. exactly same thing happened with me, bought new coilpacks, one went bust a day after installation might be best to just grab a new coilpack loom/harness as the one from the factory has most probably expired its usefulness, could be bound to cause u grief even though you fixed this problem as other components are probably on their way out can grab a nissan oem one from here http://www.kudosmoto...neo-p-1057.html also cheers for keeping us updated, there will be many after you with this prob as these cars get older so this will be a good reference thread
  18. perhaps another thing would be to check the crank angle sensor (CAS) also might revise the gap of the spark plugs as splifires behave a bit differently to OEM and need to be gapped accordingly few threads when i had a similar problem http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/387174-r34-rb25det-neo-spark-plugs/ Splitfires in a R34 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/68977-splitfire-coilpacks-r34-gtt/ More info about Colipacks in general http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/187108-jjr-coil-packs-vs-oem-vs-splitfire-vs-other/ if you manage to solve the problem just let us know what it was for those who have the same prob next time
  19. wouldn't have the callpers and rim outline in red, but i would break my neck if i saw this roll past on the street
  20. welcome to the forums mate, very helpful bunch here, questions are welcome - any pics of the beast?

    R34s...please!

    one of the best drives in nsw imo, up to bathurst; as she sits today; have a few dodgy pics of a far from dodgy car
  22. i went with Just Car third party fire & theft up to $10,000 set me pack about $700 per year - if you're just after third party without fire & theft you're looking around mid $500s
  23. beautiful thing mate, black on black suits it too well - too many guys opting for the easier-to-maintain white nowadays. must catch a photo next to yours at a meet one day
  24. for sure mate, and by no means am i tooting these guys as being perfect or godsends, but they are very willing to help out when something goes south (regardless of who is at fault) which happens to the best of us. that is what i find to be the difference between Jack & Pete is that they genuinely want you to return the next time you have an issue with your car - this is their main objective imo
