  1. Hey everyone, rather than starting another thread ill just ask here, is it normal for a car to get a bit scratched up around the bumpers on its way from japan to compliance?, i hear that cars arn't treated heaps well esp once they hit Aus docks. Cheers, Danny
  2. Hey everyone, I've been hunting aroung for a N/A R34 with the factory Altia aero kit, i was just wondering what are some tell-tale signs that it's a genuine plastic kit and a fibreglass copy? Here's the kit in question Thanks in advance, Danny
  3. It all depends on the car mate, haha i remember you bought that black R34 from Nagoya Motors not too long ago, hows that working out for you?
  4. Hmm it works both ways at the moment, by no means am i an expert, but although the exchange rates have hit the fan, the Japanese economy is also down the drain, and on top of that people that own old cars in Japan must pay a higher tax yearly for their cars so the price of cars have dropped in Japan. So with the exchange rates going one way and the economy going another, good deals still exist, perhaps more so in the next few months than ever before. Anyone who has a more informed opinion feel free to correct and modify Thanks for the amount of interest in this thread, its great! Cheers, Danny
  5. I saw that car from Carizma for sale ages ago, i know you got it for quite a good price as the list price was only 15,000 or so, they're a reputable dealer down there. Been looking for almost a year now, seems like taking the extra time to find one i really like in japan is the better way to go, alot of people in Aus trying to capitalize on the P-plate laws, i know of one seller here trying to get 20k for his R34 when he only bought it for 15K lol, so we'll see how things pan out. This isnt just for me im sure plenty of P-platers are looking for a N/A R34 aswell so keep em' coming! Cheers everyone, Danny
  6. Haha cool, never seen mob numbers for sale before, how'd you justify pricing for it? Danny
  7. Yeah i noticed his car, he's trying to sell it for 5K more than be bought it for lol, as are alot of people trying to sell their car upwards of 20k, they didn't receive a single bite. Nice car nonetheless but just not for me i suppose. Cheers for the reply, Danny
  8. PM replied, We can get something like a "N/A's For Sale Soon" thread. Hopefully it will help some peoples. Since people will always be getting of their P's it can help both parties Danny
  9. Hey there matey, thanks for the reply, we'll have to see then hey. If you can add a few more details about the car either on here or through PM, pictures if you can aswell if you already have some. If you put it on the thread, other P-platers will be able to see the car aswell which is good so yeah. Keep them coming! Cheers, Danny
  10. Hey everyone, I just wondering if anybody is getting off their P's and/or thinking of selling their R34, there hasn't been to many on the market recently and i have been contemplating on importing one from overseas. A few things I'm chasing in a R34 are; 2-door, factory aero, preferably manual but not fussed. I suppose i don't want to take the time importing one if there are good examples being had locally soon. A few good examples at Top Secret in Blacktown and M & T Ausport in Revsby but just wanna see if anyone is planning on letting their's go anytime in the next few months. Located in Sydney but interstate isn't too much of a drama, will discuss prices with the owner in person or later down the track to avoid being rude so yeah, simply PM or reply to this thread, hope to hear from you guys soon! =) Cheers, thanks for reading Danny

  13. I suppose a difference down the track would be trying to sell it, A/T R34's don't sell too well, if you buy an A/T R34 try get it the the factory aero so it will be easier to sell. Maybe i just love the factory aero R34's lol i'm looking for a NA R34 now and i cant seem to settle for anything less.
  14. If ure able to post up some pics including the extent of the damage its be great, Cheers Danny
  15. Hey is this a 2-door?
  16. It's a real cost effective way to enhance the look of your car if you're on a budget One of the if not the best R34 GT-t i've ever seen Danny
  17. I'll second that, one of the nicest R34 GT-t's I've seen. A real cost effective way to change the look of your car
  18. Thanks alot mate, that helps heaps, Danny
  19. Thanks alot Craig, you've been the most helpful of all the importers, i did email you about this but i didn't receive a reply, maybe it was lost in the mail. Are you able to arrange an inspection for this vehicle in Japan at all? This would be after we pay the service fee wouldn't it, also with me being in Sydney how would compliance and registration work out? Oh also could you please translate the auction sheet? Thanks a heap, appreciate it Danny
  20. Thanks Craig, my dad was keen to deal with someone we could meet in person with before we commited to buying. So we're trying to deal with a Sydney importer, however Powerplay said they could not go to inspect the vehicle in person as their contact in Japan was not close to the dealer, so until i can get an auction sheet i cant go any further, i've emailed the dealer several times asking for more info but without any result. Thanks, Danny
  21. Hey everyone, I'm looking to import this car I've found on tradecarview, however i've tried emailing the dealer in japan several times to acquire some more information and pictures, in particular i'd like to see an auction sheet to prove its a grade 4.0 as well as the Nismo S-tune suspension, however i have not received a reply yet. Is it normal for dealers in japan not to reply to inquiries through tradecarview? Im located in Sydney so if any importers could give me a hand as to what to do it'd be much appreciated. I understand how dodgy tradecarview is, the car at its price seems a little too good to be true, however if i can get more details about the car it could be a good deal. I just want something different if i'm going to import from japan e.g factory aero, bayside blue, late model etc.. http://www.tradecarview.com/used_car/japan...+coupe/1551452/ I'm a P-plater hence the non-turbo Cheers, Danny
  22. If my eyes haven't mistaken me it was the GT-t, the GT-t's were released before the GTR, so the HPI issue i was reading covered the brand new release of first GT-t in Aus, and the price tag was 120,000, i kid you not
  23. You can try tradecarview.com, it's similar to carsales, but for cars in japan. Just be careful however not all the cars there are legit. Importer websites such as j-spec, carizma and iron chef have some cars aswell Hope that helps, Danny
  24. Thanks a heap! there is hope for us mere mortals! Cheers mate, Danny
