G'day Guys, A mate of mine can organise some customised stickers. They had a display @ MAS. Not too sure if you guys saw, but there was a camoflage green Mirage with like, army stickers, as well as the silver FTO that was next to the SAU stand. Anyway, if you're interested, give the guys from D2 Designs a call. Speak to Terence or Michael, and tell them Daryl sent you. I'm pretty sure they can set you up with some customer body stickers, it that's you're thing.

Hi WazR32GTSt and pstanbis, You guys mentioned that there is a fog light switch for the R32. May I ask, are you aware of a similar switch in the R33 as well? Wouldn't mind getting that factory look, over an after market one. Thanks

G'day RedLineGTR I presume you'll give me a buzz when you are free. Thanks! -
G'day JetGTS. Did some biatch hit your car, and getting away with it. That's absolute BS!! Hmm, if you ever need a hand to sort things out your own way, you can always give me a buzz. I'm glad you've got the cover, I need one as mentioned in this post http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...&threadid=18758 And I'm more than happy to give you a few bucks for it too. Can you please advise on where you are, or more so, when can we catch up so that I may pick it up. Thanks!

Thanks Guys. I have no troubles taking out the rear seats, nor the parcel shelf. Stuffing around with the interior is easy, my only concerns are only when I am playing with anything that can stuff the safety of the thing. eg, not bolting it to the correct arm of whatever is down there. I'm in Rowville, but I am more than happy to travel if anybody can help me. I have no tools or nothing at my place. Thanks Guys!

G'day All, Hope everyone is well. I need somebodies assistance in changing my standard suspension off a R33 GTST and replacing it with a set of Tein's. Can anybody help me!?!? Just for some background. I've been one of the many whos currently in the process of importing a R33. I think I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, as I have been told the plates should arrive on Monday, hence the car should be shipped down ready for the following weekend. However, as I've been dying for the car, I've already purchased a whole bunch of goodies to add on, such as these Teins. They were at a decent price, so I bought them on the spur of the moment. But can anybody help me fit these? There's a slab of VB's in it if anyone can help! I'm in the SE part of Melbourne, and am anticipating the car should be here, (after 8 weeks of waiting for the plates) next week. Can anybody help a fellow SAU member out?? Thanks!

G'day All, Well, its time to sell my mobile as I'd like to upgrade to either one of the camera phones or an 8910. So I have on offer, my 8850. Standard silver in colour. Comes with the usual desk charger and second Nokia battery. In perfect working order. I've even added my own personal touch of getting a GTR logo to replace my Optus carrier logo. Can be removed or changed to another logo if you wish My reserve is $300, so please have a look. Will also trade for an 8910 or the 7250 with cash adjustment of course. Oh yeah, I'm in the SE part of Melbourne. Thanks! Pictures attached.

hks pod filter mount & NGK spark plugs
Scotty replied to R33gtst's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
G'day. I'll take the pod filter mount. I've PM'd you with the details. I'm in Melb too, so I can pick it up this weekend if you like. Thanks. -
G'day Jay, Sorry its taken me so long to reply. I've only just been able to borrow a digital camera. Anyway, here is the gauge Anyway, my immediate concern is with the boost gauge. Given where the word was written, I could not determine where the positive connector is. Illumination is easy, there is a definate +'ve and -'ve terminals. The volt and temp meter use the same ground, (or ignition). Given that, there are 3 terminals that I cannot account for. They are on the left hand side, that is the 1st, 3rd and 4th one. Please refer to the picture Hearing your thoughts that the boost gauge requires three connections, has gotten me thinking that the word Boost +'ve was written there deliberately to cover both terminals. So, what do you think? Thanks again bud!
-
Jay, Thank you again for your detailed reply. It's great knowing that there are guys willing to help chumps like me out. I'll try to get hold of a digital camera tonight so that I may post some pics here. FYI, yes it looks like there is a common ground wire. What are the implications of that? There are I guess 4 distinct sections on the back of the gauge, illumination, volt meter, temp meter and boost gauge. Whe I tested the Illumination, it had a seperate +'ve and -'ve terminals. But to get the volt and temp meter working, I used the same ground connection, or what the gauge refers to as Ignition. As for the boost gauge, there is a positive and negative terminal, but there looks like 2 postive ones which I cant explain. I guess, this will make more sense once I post a picture up tonight. Thanks again!

G'day Jay, Thanks for your detailed and prompt response. Firstly to avoid any confusion, the gauges came from a R32. so it didn't have the corner shaven off. Hence I did not need to get a new climate control. I'm planning to leave the climate control on top, have the 3 gauges in the middle, and to have my HU at the bottom. Thoughts? Anyway, when I plugged, the volt meter into the into the battery, it read 9V, so I presume its simply a plug and play type deal into the car battery. So that covers the first one. Moving on, so Jay, if I ask a Nissan wrecker for a oil temp sensor, can I simply extend the cables and solder them on directly to the gauges? Now for the boost gauge, please excuse my ignorance, but what is a map sensor, as I have no idea on how to connect to it. I'll try to get my hands on a digital camera, so you can see graphically, but from what I can see, there is are 3 terminals that I cannot account for. (after covering the lights, volt meter and temp meter) Therefore I'm guessing 3 wires, but am not sure how a boost gauge is usually connected up. Any thoughts? Thanks again. If anybody has any further insight, please do write. Thanks!

G'day All, I need your help. As with most R33 owners, we face a problem of having an empty din once we pull the stock CD/Tape player and replace it with an aftermarket one. Well, to overcome this, I have just bought a R32 triple gauges to fill the slot. Now the problem is, how do I get it to work? Firstly, does anybody have the wiring loom for sale. I would be happy to purchase it. But anyway back to the point, how can I get it working. Firstly the gauges, there's a volt meter, temperature meter, and a boost gauge. On the back, there is a wiring pattern that has the plugs for the gauges. What I was intending in the absence of the wiring loom, was to solder the wires directly on the board. I have tested this theory using a 9V battery and some wires. I can get the lights to work, as well as the volt meter directly off the 9V battery, and I guess I can copy the same thing off the car battery, but it gets difficult with the temperature, and especially the boost gauge. When I tested the temperature gauge, with the 9V battery, the gauge just rose to the maximum. Can anybody advise on how I can get a sensor to get this working? Whenever I supply this one with people, albeit 9V, it just rises to the top. As for the boost gauge, no matter how I wired it up, it would not move. Of interest the +'ve and -'ve terminals of the boost gauge was separate to the rest of the gauges. Can anybody please advise on how I can get this to work. So yeah, there you go. Please help!!! Thanks in advance.

Recaro, Turbosmartbov, And Gauges 4 Sale
Scotty replied to En_One's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
G'day En_One, I sent you a PM on the GTR gauges, did you get it? Basically it states that I want them. Thanks! -
Well, hopefully when the car gets here, I'll put all this behind me too. Dean, I understand that you are purely the middle men. I have not dealt with yourself before, so I cannot speak from experience, but from my PERSONAL experience, not even my broker is offering any advice. How did I find out that my plate was finally approved, not from my broker, NO, I had to call the compliance house directly! Now, tell me what's the purpose of a broker, shouldnt it be in their interest to keep their customers informed?? Every time I try to call for an update, the phone just rings through. SMS' never get replied to, calls that do go through, have stated that they'll call back, yeah bs, they'll call. I guess, while the brokers should not be offended here, I have been badly burnt. You would have thought that having no car would have saved me money. Well, in relying on other people for transport, my designated drivers, have either had an accident, or got fine. Now I'm obliged to pay for these. The benefits and cost savings of imported are very quickly diminishing now!

Craig, Dean and Chris, Thank you all for your kind words. While I understand that this is not your fault, I guess my point is, please be HONEST with your customers. If the government states that it will be delayed, then so be it. Its not your fault so don't be afraid to tell us. It just that with my broker, I always feel that I am being pawned off and that they're not really interested in helping me, but rather just trying to get me off the phone. I have not dealt with yourselves personally, so I can NOT speak from experience. But please do keep this in mind when you are speaking with your customers. In regards to my plate, I have absolutely no confidence in what anybody tells me anymore. Its sad, but I can no longer trust anybody, as I have been let down far too often. Regardless, thank you both for taking the initiative in replying to this. It hopefully can give some solice to your customers that at least some brokers are trying. Please note: My comments are all from personal experience, I cannot account for everybody on this forum. Please do not take offence. I have deliberately have not mentioned any names or companies here. Thanks.

then again, some of the high end HU's have frequency adjustments such as the Pioneer series. I had one, and I think it had a 9Hz - 10Hz adjustment. It was one of those Pioneer 6350's So yeah, who listens to AM anyway??
-
"Empty promises." Thats exactly the point. If I had known that it would have taken so long, then I wouldnt have sold my car and be relying on phucken public transport! If they were honest, I would have made my decisions differently. I hope all the brokers out there are reading this so that no other poor bastard has to go through what I'm doing. I'm sick of them pawning me off and saying yeah soon, soon, yeah bullshyte soon. But, yes given the rules of this forum, I will not say who my broker is. CrazO, you are one lucky man. Well done. Aybee, hopefully when we get our cars, we can go for one of the cruises here. Phuck I'm pi%$&ed off!
-
whatever, my geography always sucked ass anyway. The point is, the commercial was cool!
-
I based my decision on what my imported told me, and sold my cdar prematurely. Now I have no phucken car!
