yeah feels like it I have changed fuel filter and my fuel economy is much better But hasn't fixed problem I have put a few bottles of injector cleaner thru but still could be injectors Its been happening a few weeks now But I don't wnat to go to the hassle and expense of injector clean if its not going to fix it Any suggestions please would be appreciated as I am short of readies at the mo

Hi all, I am asking help again for my beloved skyline. Only 2nd time in 4 years so not so bad I try to do all my own work as most of you know its the only way to go as these cars are pretty finnicky as they are complicated and GOOD Anyway, it started idling rough when cold (always does this now) Then it started on the road when at running temp It basically can do it anytime (approx 50% of time now) It can run absolutely perfect, then will start to splutter (idle or when driving) and then just comes good At idle giving it a good rev seems to clearit for a while When driving you just have to wait for it to come good. I have noticed at idle when it happens, the tacho goes down and the boost guage goes UP. Normally when you INCREASE the revs a bit the the boost goes up Does this suggest a boost leak ? ...intermittant tho ? I have changed the plugs and the fuel filter...no change (plugs are .8 gap ...same as before) My car is an R33 GTST S2 (11 lb manual boost, FMIC, pod cold air, 3"cat back) Any ideas anyone

Hi all, does anyone know what this would be? when I start the r33 there is a strange tapping noise coming from in the dash somwhere it lasts for about 5 - 10 seconds and stops it's a fairly loud knocking noise eveything seems to work fine though ANY IDEAS ????

I am back on the road Thanks for everyones help Most thanks to the guys at Hyperdrive who did a great job at a very reasonable price It ended up being the cam angle sensor AND camshaft stripped where they connect Both had to be replaced This caused the exhaust manifold to crack right down the centre vertically !!!!! The turbo gasket was also gone At the same time I had my 100K service (timing belt + pulleys and water pump) The rocker cover gasket also needed replacing Now it goes absolutely brilliant Pulls harder than ever Life's good again!

You gotta take the good with the bad With BM's you have the reliability but you have to deal with driving a boring ugly car no offence intended

I have taken your initial advice booked into Hyperdrive on Saturday and yes I will have it towed Andrew was very helpful I think its either an air leak or turbo gasket hope no more damage Thanks for your advice

YEAH MAYBE BUT I CANT FIND ONESOUNDS REALLY LOUD AROUND THE TURBO/EXHAUST AREA MOTOR SOUNDS OK BUT HARD TO KEEP IDLING AND NO POWER AT ALL THE ONLY WAY TO BE SURE I SUPPOSE IS TO TAKE EVERY HOSE OFF 1 BY 1 AND INSPECT IT ANY IDEAS WHICH WOULD BE THE BEST WAY TO APPROACH...ANY COMMON ONES ETC ANY ADVICE WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED

Hi all, The latest news is that I got the no LED ECU to go into diag mode and it all came up good (55) I then had good look underneath and found there was a nut missing where the turbo bolts onto the front pipe. Because this is where the loud noise seems to be coming from and the symptoms seem to agree maybe its just that But there are no signs of a leak and it all looks tight and flush (held in with other 3 nuts) What do you guys think???

fuel pump is an in tank one and you can hear it prime up when you turn it on I thought of disconnecting AFM but couldn't even get the plug off HELP!! The ECU diags was a dead end I plugged in the ECU and turned the key and the engine check light came on as did all the others??????? HELP!!!!!

Ok now i've put the kids to bed I've looked at the ecu and can't see where the screw is to turn in on to diag mode I am working in low light Ihave checked for air leaks and all OK Can any one tell me where the screw is for a single LED ECU Cheers wait a minute after close look I can't see any LED or screw I will plug back in and see id it works like a no LED ECU and shows up on the dashboard

Hi all My beloved R33 is dying It started to lose power on boost a few days ago. Today it got worse real quick It started to hesitate and had no torque at all It was harder to keep idling and started to get harder to drive It sounded like it was sucking heaps of air and was backfiring No power on the way home from work no acceleration at all !00KM/H on freeway took about a 10KM runnup it was running so bad Hills are 10km/h The first warning lamp came on (CAT temp) Now I have it home it sounds like a truck when I start it up and struggle to keep idling I have reset ECU Will now look at how to put it into diag mode I have also jacked it up and considering taking off the CAT and having a look Any help　would be appreciated heaps

I went to DCI today and they have 33 GTR's One is a black s1 its ok for 25k the other 2 are average cond....1 is a vspec I also went to autoworx around the corner and they have a much nicer white r33 for 25k hope this helps

Excuse me for butting in but I think his answer will be NO.He must be using a daughterboard to tune and program a chip which he then swaps with your original. It then cannot be written to or erased. Toshi you seem to do such a great job but I live in Perth. If you read this can you pls let me know if you know of anyone in Perth who does similar work. The Nullabor is a long road!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sort of new to the skyline scene 2 years owner and 6 months or so on SAU forum I would love nothing more than to go for a cruise with a whole bunch of other skylines/imports...except maybe sex with a whole bunch of Brazilian dancers. But all I picture in my head is Sergeant Wanker rubbing his hands together as he sees/hears a dozen BOVs scream by. As I have never been hassled b4 I don't want a defect just to get my rocks off on a cruise You know just because youre paranoid doesn't mean theyre not after you!!!!
