yeah i have seen some silly things from coppas. was waiting at a set of lights one day to turn, and they were on the other side turning the other way. They didnt wanna wait any longer so they stuck the sirens on to do an illegal u turn and hauled ass up the road and shut the sirens off about 100m up the road. This was in browns plains in brisbane....

Life after skyline! Can it be done?
unwritten law replied to nissky's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I think i am in the same boat as u driver about getting the fourby when a bit older. For now i cant imagine getting rid of my skyline, unless it was for another one!!! -
could u imagine how much trouble that would be if a copper was showing off, trying to entice a driver into racing and had an accident in the process....

goddam, that looks schmick. I feel a bit guilty for neglecting to clean mine since I bought it something to do i guess when you are a bit bored and strapped for cash.

man that front bar has been modified nicely. i would like to see it in the flesh. I like how the pipes come down and swing around into the cooler with the cuts made neatly. I havent seen the car around, but i will certainly keep an eye out for ya!!!

hahaha dangerous, good call about the plaza. Parked my car for under an hr there and got 2 small dents. And that was at the back quite part of the park. So what were these plates named? Then maybe we could keep an eye out for them perhaps ???

also be wary of a yellow vn commodore no plates 999 GKV. Its a V6 and has been resprayed and has a racing wing on the back and a few stickers on it, couldnt remember what they were. He was trying to gee me up for a race along mt lindesay hwy thru calamvale at night about a month ago. I saw a blue uniform thru his passenger window (i was in the left hand lane). then i pulled up at the next set of lights on the right hand side of him and he had his arm up on the door resting, showing his badge. He saw me look over then he quickly moved his arm away so i couldnt see his badge. I shook my head as if to say 'you f@rken prick!' He might have just been off duty and going to work or something i dunno, but it was all bit too sus.....

I got this by email this morning - i think its from the WRX forums. Where is the old thread regarding the 'hoon squad' ??? looks like it has gone missing with the website upgrades ??? here goes..... Over the last few weeks, I have compiled the following list which indicates the latest additions to the Qld Police Force fleet of traffic squad vehicles. These vehicles are all unmarked police cars and have been used for entrapment purposes - that is, to entice the driver to commit an offence under the Traffic Infringement Act so as to raise revenue. If anyone has any further detail about these vehicles or about any other vehicle used for direct traffic patrol on the streets of South East Qld, please let me know. Send this around to as many people as you know. * Holden Commodore SS Ute - Red (with Jet Pilot sticker on rear window & fitted with video recording and speed monitoring equipment) *Holden Commodore SS Ute - Dark Green (with no visible stickers or markings & fitted with video recording and speed monitoring equipment) * Holden Commodore SS Ute - Black (with Yoshimura Racing sticker on rear window & fitted with video recording and speed monitoring equipment) * Holden Astra Turbo - Silver (registration no. 444 EVR - this vehicle is not specifically used for speed infringements because its unable to catch most sports cars on the road, however its being used primarily as back up for the Utes). Note that this list has been compiled from various motoring clubs that I am involved with, primarily the WRX Club of Qld. They are the real thing because many of my mates have been caught by these vehicles and each time, have lost their licence. Note that radar detectors (similar to the one I have fitted) are useless in these cases.

Price Check, Price Check on BP Ultimate
unwritten law replied to unwritten law's topic in Queensland
The cheapest i have bought ultimate here has been 84.9 (regular unleaded was 73.9) -
Check out this crazy price of BP Ultimate at Tamworth (Central NSW) on friday avo as I was passing thru on my way to Sydney. I had to fill up because it was the only stop closest to Warwick and Newcastle that had Ultimate (filled up at Warwick). lucky I looked up on the BP website where the stations that had Ultimate were before I left. Has anybody paid more?

My condolances to his family & friends. I dread hearing news like this. A lesson to be learnt for all of us here. I have been in Sydney for the past 5 days, so i didnt hear anything.

I stayed at Crowne Plaza (used to be the Parkroyal) in broadbeach about a year ago. Was very nice (17th floor ocean view, huge bed, spa in room, balcony). Was very nice. Booked it on wotif.com - no worries.... depends what u are after too. if you want a quiter time, go for units further south at burleigh heads, kirra, coolangatta.

R32 any known problems???
unwritten law replied to Flaps's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
The doors are too long and heavy.... thats about it. -
yeah poor Brutis.... Dont bother paying to park inside the gate because your car is not secure anyway. I found out the hard way at the '02 jamboree - my old corolla got broken into. Most probably the people running the security on the carpark were in on it. didnt lose much, was a quick screwdriver thru the lock and grab loose items (couple of cds, work bag, etc)... homos.... they wouldnt have gone for a decent car, they were only amaturs who could get into sh!tboxes... On a brighter note, looking forward to DC!!!!!!

i have fitted my MOMO with a HKB boss kit from autobarn. The HICAS light comes on after about 15mins of driving on the freeway. I have tried re-aligning the wheel because it didnt sit central (even though it was aligned with the dot in the middle of the thread). I have taken a few corners and it seems to be working ok (the light was on).... what can happen if i dont fix it??? how do u reset the hicas computer?? is it under the rear parcel shelf??
