  1. i might get him to fix my exhaust manifold studs (there is two missing). Seems like he knows lines pretty well so he wont have to charge lots of hours, and it will be done right first time too. I am going to make the trip down there...
  2. Does he have a dyno? If so what does he charge? Sounds like he is worth driving down the coast to get some work done...
  3. they are waiting to pick somebody up from an incoming flight so they dont have to pay parking inside the airport
  4. I am missing 2 studs on my RB20. A nissan mechanic told me they were (studs) only worth a couple of bucks - most of the cost is in labour. If you can tackle it yourself, you will save heaps.
  5. I am in - keen to sus out the runs thru the northside, being a southsider myself...
  6. I had a 1982 corolla canary yellow. Didnt crash it. Drove it pretty hard, was very reliable. Did all of the work on it myself. Wish i still had it (along with the line) - you dont have to worry about where u park it and it runs on next to nothing.
  7. i paid $630 all up for a daiken excedy heavy duty installed, pretty stoked with it. The pedal feels very firm (not girly hehe) Nearly stalled it when i pulled out of the mechanics
  8. my old 82 corolla was called rollie.... heh, ahh the memories, rollie pollie, rolla, or strola
  9. Getting my new clutch fitted today, got a Daiken Excedy heavy duty too. Got it thru Nicks - good deal. The mechanic who fitted just rang and said 'it feels like a bloody strong clutch, where did u get it from?' Cant wait to knock off work early and go pick it up.
  10. exhaust??
  11. I have a 32 gtst at stock ride height, and have had no worries. Only scraped once (because i was going too fast). When i was looking at buying one, my folks were like, 'do u think that will scrape in the driveway?' That was one of their ways to tell me not to buy a line. As for your driveway crossover (at the start near the road), it should meet council standard, because it is within council property. post some pics up. What sort of kerb is there? Mountable or barrier? I design roads, commercial driveways & carparks, might be able to help u out...
  12. 115kw?? that is a bit low :S A stock 32 should be making at least 120 at the wheels. Hasnt he made like 150+ before?? was his car running alright?
  13. i just bought a k & n panel filter last week and still have the filter lying around. I dont have the airbox tho. I am in brisbane. PM if you are after it. its from a 32 tho, not sure if its the same as for the 33, sus it out and get back to me....
  14. Heh, i wanted to nickname mine liney, but my girlfriend named it Reginald and it has stuck from there. I dont mind it...
  15. how are ya klay? the house goin good?
  16. Brutus mobile?? Is that the name of ur car?? We should start a thread with what people have named their car - if that hasnt already been done??
  17. Hey 46n2, Jeff was telling me about ur car when I bought it. Say g'day to him next time u see him, and that the 32 is still in one piece
  18. no worries NismoGirl, its all good. I havent really met u but i recognised the plates, thats why i waved. Turns out the tyre was stuffed - they couldnt fix it becuase the screw went thru the side of it, so i had to buy a new one. I still had about 60% tread left :S also bought a wheel brace and making a bar to substitute for the windey thing. Getting the pizza cutter (spare tyre) fixed tomorrow. is Gus from redlineau??
  19. dunnno about that
  20. got to work this morning and saw footage of a mate from work who snapped the axle in his blue 78 celica. Some of you might have seen it, was a bit of a mess
  21. yeh i have seen u along mt lindesay hwy a couple of times. I get the bus to work, but i drive to my girlfriends house in the morning, which is near the mt lindesay hwy.
  22. went to the BWCP it was a little bit busy. Saw so much filth on the M1 tho, about 6 radars total, and then 2 on smith street. Was a bit ordinary. Headed to the shell at mudgereba after but there wasnt anyone there, met up with a couple of skylines and went for a bit of a run thru robina, had a bit of fun. On the way home got the flat tyre :S
  23. I am the owner of GRY32. Live on the southside of brisbane. Have met a couple of you, but am keen to meet more people...
  24. Hi ppl, went for a cruise down the coast tonite, had a pretty good nite, saw a few lines about. about 5k from home I got a flat tyre. i thought alright, first wheel change on the skyline (yay). Got the dodgey yellow spare out, it looked alright except it was a bit rusted on the inside of the rim. Went to get the jack out and it was missing the windey thing. So i rang my dad to come down with the jack from home. (he wasnt too happy, this being at 1.45 in the morning.) waiting for about ten mins i saw MSP51 drive past i think (i gave u a wave), but u kept driving :S. Dad got there with the jack which decided to sh!t itself so we had to use the jack from the back of his car. Finally got the wheel off and the spare back on after f@rking about cuz ther wasnt much light and we were on a bit of a hill. on the way home taking it easy, the spare clapped out about 3ks from home. I'm like, this is f@rked, what do we do!!!! Was almost gonna call SHY32 to see if i could borrow her spare (but i didnt want to because it was about 2.15am). So dad took the spare off while i drove his car to the servo to fill up the proper tyre with the screw in it. Raced back and put it back on the skyline very quickly (just like in formula 1) with the tyre leaking, i got it home - just. luckily i was close to home. just a bit of a lesson, check your spare every now and then, and make sure u have the right tools. I am going to the shop tomorrow to get a wheel brace and jack. also i have to get two tyres fixed. anybody know of a tyre place that is open on sundays???
  25. i just bought a new k&n panel filter tonite, my old filter was shagged. i put it straight in and it goes pretty good, but i think i can get a fair bit more out of it if i run a cold air feed to it. gonna check it out on the weekend.
