  1. I 'll second 2 for 1 too, they have some hot cars getting around.
  2. Where can I get the lock bar from? Is it a copy of a brand name one ??
  3. Sounds cool... What sort of stuff will they be specialising in? Turbos, imports, 8's ?? Will they have a dyno?
  4. I got my clutch from Nicks - $420 (daiken excedy HD) + another $200 for installation. Its all good!
  5. those guys look pretty well set up and organised there. I will keep them in mind - I have a couple of small chunks taken out of one of my rims from when I was getting some new tyres put on.
  6. what sort of car is it? Need to know if there is compliance available for it on the coast....
  7. APC - underwood do good work, but you will pay for the privelige

  11. hmmm interesting - a diablo costs $3000/day to hire on a weekday and $7500 for the weekend. I know I would definiately be getting my money's worth from it. I bet they wouldnt be surprised when ppl return it with bald tyres... She is really after an RX8 tho....
  12. BP is cleaner. Was probably at the bottom of the tanks too. Had any recent rain? Maybe some water is in the tank at the servo.
  13. My mates girlfriend asked me the other day if I knew of anywhere in Melbourne where she can hire out an RX8 (preferably black) for him as a surprise when they fly down there next year for his birthday. Does anybody have any recommendations or prices of places around the place? It will only be for one day. My mate is gonna be so stoked as he loves RX8s (any rotors really) - what an awesome present! I'm from Gold Coast, but my mate and his GF are from Brisbane cheers Cal.
  14. thanks for the replies guys. I have got a tilt tray lined up for tomorrow morning to take it to my mechanic - I couldnt be fuct tooling around with it (the weather is too hot) and I dont have the right tools nor a hoist. Piece of mind. Gonna get it strengthened so it will be indestructible this time
  15. mine does it when backing off after staying on a constant rev for a little while (eg getting off the hwy). Mine is running very rich, so I have put it down to that. Just a bit of excess fuel
  16. Broke my second clutch pedal box tonite and had to get my car towed home. Was wanting to have a go at replacing it myself. I know you need to get to it from the firewall side (master cylinder?) I had one replaced last year and now I will put in a modified box with heavier welds to make sure of things. I am running a heavy duty daikan clutch which wouldnt have helped things, and I must be pretty hard on the pedal to break it as the last pedal box I busted I had the stock clutch in. Any thoughts on the exercise? Is it easy to do? the car is a 32 gtst.
  17. It Was Me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=23276 I was on the side of Mt Lindesay Hwy with a flat tyre at 1.30am on a sunday, and U and Erin scooted past
  18. On my way home tonite from work, I notice my clutch pedal was feeling a bit sus. Get to my turnoff (exit 77 on the m1 northbound) and take it out to downshift and cant get the pedal in. It had snapped. This is not the first time this has happened to me - About 14 months ago I broke one and got it replaced with one from the wreckers. I had rolled around the roundabout, and couldnt get any further so I was stuck in between the roundabout and the bridge crossing the m1 - no the best of places to pull up as there was no edge line and only barrier kerb which I couldnt mount. Swearing and cursing, I put my hazards on and call a mate from work to come and tow me (he has a hilux and I dont have racq anymore). Waiting for about 15-20 mins sitting on the kerb, I see 5 skylines go past (2 32's and 3 33's). They only looked and kept goin on their way. If I saw a fellow line on the side of the road, that looked like they were in trouble I would definately pull over to see if they were alright and offer assistance - I think that is part of being a true enthusiast. Just goes to show that their are alot of skyline drivers out there with 'skyline syndrome' and couldnt give 2 shits.....
