  1. Hi all, Per title, after an r33 factory undertray along with it's mounting bolts/clips. I'm in the shire and prefer pickup somewhere not too far away. Thanks.
  2. 1:00.9... wow seriously moving! Would love to know setup specs if you're willing to share. Well done.
  3. Edit - for wakefield 4th visit 1:09.6 Felt good for 9 flat but ran outta e85 bah. street rego'd 33 gtst, 260rwkw nitto nt01's, BC coilovers, whiteline sways standard brakes
  4. acceptable price for stock airbox on fleabay... http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Skyline-R33-air-box-/171391740949?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27e7be6c15&_uhb=1 Anyways, if you hunt around you'll be able to find all the items you need in less than an hour..
  5. This might help, if the seller is willing to ship from bris to you...there's stock turbo and afm in the sale thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/445790-r33-stock-turbo-exhaust-afm-injectorswheels/ I have stock turbo intake piping you can borrow, i'm in the shire.
  6. Shire, 33 series 1.5 Joined the group just then.. Here's the whale
  7. Doesn't that neo have the expected result from around 260rwkw ? a hks gtrs or gt2871r will give that kinda result on ab rb25... i know mine does
  8. Thanks heaps Maxs13! My mate will be glad to know - he's been trying to find out for a month now. Has even gone into performance workshops and jdm parts suppliers waving the photo around haha. Cheers!
  9. Boot will easily fit weekly groceries. Back will fit 4yo fine, it's just the getting in and out is a bit of a hassle - i sold mine when i had a kid. There's a v series skyline subforum on SAU, best to head on over there
  10. I looked it up as I've been considering a half cage for some time.. Section LK of vsb 14.. Not sure if there is an updated vsb but according to that bulletin, half cage is legal if certified. Agreed on not whacking your head against it haha, helmet or no helmet.. Just wouldn't be nice!
  11. You also mentioned there are other cars with similar power to weight etc, but not the cars themselves ? They might just be cars with better balance and chassis from factory...33 isn't the most suited to circuit P.s. Your car looks so much fun to drive, exhausting, but fun! Once i got my car sticking a bit better, it was less fun to drive haha
  12. One thing that's been skimmed over - tire pressures ? Maybe have a look at the wear of your tires and also their condition/age and look at trying out different pressures ? Along with suggestions in the thread as the time gap wouldn't just be tires.
  13. PN-Mad, i thought half cage was legal ? As long as the car's rego'd as a 2 seater i.e. Full cage is illegal regardless. As for getting away with a high mount =/, good luck is all i can say and emissions testing can be a real bitch.
  14. Not sure if you're referring to my previous posting, but i guess it's all personal preference and how much risk each person is willing to take. I'm soft and cautious on the roads nowadays so to me 260 is already too much (even though my car grips full throttle in first), then again there are other people who have said 400 is fine... must have temptation resistance of a jedi if you ask me haha.
  15. Sounds like you've got most support mods like you said which will make it a cheaper exercise Injectors, for a target of 300rwkw 740cc and above will do. Probably just 1000's so that way you can move to e85 in the future if you want.. though i recommend just doing it with everything else at the same time if you're remotely thinking about it. That way you'll save money on not needing a retune plus it's good insurance for a motor that will get driven. For the heavy duty clutch, it may or may not hold 300rwkw. I think Exedy only rate their heavy duty to hold around 250rwkw reliably. Another good cheap mod that will give you better traction are cradle bushes (pineapples). Whatever you do, don't skimp on tires and don't let the tire shop talk you into getting something that they just save in stock haha. Decide if you want to run street, S or R compounds, set a budget then look for best in class
  16. OP, realistically you will need -clutch if you're running standard clutch -tires (and maybe wheels if your current wheels aren't wide enough) -attention to brakes -Depending on the quality of the exhaust, it may need attention ? -boost controller -and a diff mentioned earlier would be nice My car only has 260rwkw (responsive though and it's semi stripped.. easily walks away from hsvs and typical wrx's at wakefield), even so it's impossible to enjoy on the streets. It doesn't see much street anymore as a result, and gets garaged until track days. I have a bnib latest hypergear highflow that i don't know what to do with yet as the whole car has been setup around it's current power/response, just to give you an idea of what thinking about 300kw is like, when you're around the 260 mark. If it's not sorted out well on the drivetrain and sussy/bushes side of things, you're just gonna be spinning 1st 2nd and 3rd which gets real old quickly unless you're into skidz. Have fun and stay safe
  17. Hey guys, Anyone able to help my mate ID these wheels he is wanting to get for his Z ? Cheers!
  18. Cheers for the spoiler mate. Nice seller, free bump.
  19. I had e-flex sit in the car for 13months... started and drove haha. I haven't had any problems with it either, and have been running it for awhile now.
  20. My first motor and tune would occasionally knock up to high 90s with once going over 100... never showed high knock on dyno however. That motor dropped a piston in a year or so... Just sayin. (you should really get it checked out, especially if your factory knock sensors are working fine)
  21. GTSBoy, Thanks for clarifying, i'll be sure to do what i can once i get the car back with regards to ducting then. jjman, Yes running stock manifold and don't really have the budget for a ffp and associated pipework =/. The build is already a small stretch haha. I hear you on finding a factory motor.. that's what i thought when i had the 3rd motor installed.. been quoted 2-2.5 for repairing the BHG including machining...i'm thinking i may as well spend a few more k on top then have a built motor that i know is fresh. Am also wary of all the reports on SAU of people getting motors built only to be not done right needing another build =/ Scotty, Correct, rear housing is choking hence the detune. This is why as part of the build i've already bought a new turbo and will be running that one at nowhere near it's max efficiency for trackwork. It will probably run close to max for a couple of runs at the drags IF i ever make it out there, but only because my mate with an fpv wants to race it down the 1/4. I think the tune should be ok - from a reputable tuner in sydney and they race a silvia themselves. Thanks all P.s. looks like forged build at this shop is not much more than a standard build as they want to bore/deck for standard build and they already use ARP bits for even the standard build. So i guess i'll just have to stretch and go for the forged build, or repair whatever's wrong with the motor.
  22. jjman, 1st motor died through poor tune and hard street driving. 2nd motor died from a mech forgetting to replace a part, third (current motor) from track usage. I've only just started track visits start of this year and have been 3 times. To be honest, i didn't expect this motor to last too long due to age and circuit usage.. Was loading on the current motor and car more and more after each visit including mods. Current tune on it was good, i told the tuner it was going to see track 6 times a year, so the car was detuned to 260rwkw and afr's were track friendly on e85. Not much limiter bashing, only coming out of hairpin and last turn on wakefield is where it'll see some limiter bashing. Hairpin after a little limiter gets 3rd gear. Final turn is throttle modulation to avoid it. No WOT shifts, ever (you mean not releasing gas and shifting yes?) I monitor knock and coolant temps through PFC hand controller. There is a fan shroud and fan appears to be working well.. i've never let the coolant reach high 90's, highest i've seen was 95 out of all 3 visits, that was at almost 3 laps. Always open to suggestions
