  1. Would be good to have a location and more pics! When you say engineers cert what is that for? Different motor or just the front mount?
  2. Unless you like boost at around 3000rpm then yes haha. Interested mate! Ill keep you posted.
  3. Chasing a blowen VG30 turbo that bolts onto a rb25 motor. Will be rebuilt and im willing to pay from interstate. Pm me if you have anything. Thanks
  4. Do you have any pics of the rear housing? Cheers
  5. Hey mate can i have myname changed to Ad's? Thanks
  6. If your 15 inch wheels dont fit couldnt you fit some boltons to clear the caliper? Ill be able to measure my r33 brakes on my Hr31 coupe monday night if you like?
  7. Don't battery boxs need to be slightly vented?
  8. I wouldn't imagian so as the japs do some pretty cool things with there "special" models. Like the Z tune GTR's etc. I don't see how a non turbo could have more power than a turbo unless it had some serious work done to it.
  9. I had a non turbo 20 in my coupe before i have recently changed it to a RB25DET. I suggest if you are planning on keeping the car for a while do the suspension and braking mods. Even though your car might be slower you can still have fun in the hills if you like doing hill runs. Then buy the same car but turbo and change everything over if you can or buy a turbo motor and drop it in. Would be best to buy another car and change what you can as police are starting to crack down on imports latley, well atleast in SA.
  10. Depends on alot of things. Condition of the motor/car. Km on the motor. 1 4 cylinder and 2 6 cylinders you can't really compare as they are different power wise, weight, suspension, different manifactors etc. They all can be reliable as each other if they are looked after and keept in check, if it's abused and used don't expect it to perform as you want it to! On a different note i work at a nissan and mazda dealership and i had a customer come in after his service and say that we have to replace one of his engine mounts, cause the powersteering hose split and made it weak and tore it. I priced him up a new mount and hose and he spat it. Bloody crap blah blah im complaing to nissan and they are going to pay for it. I told him that they wouldn't as his car had been serviced 5 times in the last 140000 km and they would tell him to stick it. So it depends how you are going to look after the car as to what will be more reliable and better off.

  13. I don't understand racegtst why you bought and sold the HSD after only a short amount of time and say they are too hard?? Did you even adjust the spring preload and damper settings? Or did you you out on full hard and go nah these are shit due to been too hard? I have HSD's in my coupe and they are fine 6 kg rear springs, less than half damper and they are fine for me! I have spent a few 1000 km trying to get it right and I'm still not there yet. I just don't understand how someone can make a decision in no time at all.
  14. I had the bilstein's in the rear of my car before i got coilovers. I had the same problem the spring was too short so i zip tied the rear of the spring to the "seat" of the shock, just incase i went over a bump and the spring came out of its seat. I know its not safe and a zip tie wouldnt do much but it might help if the spring was to jump out over a bump!
  15. Lol umm what? Stock suspension with lowered king springs would be as soft as you can get!
  16. Hey mate i have a full set of calipers, disks and pads if you are interested?
  17. Ahh ok thanks mate. Anyone got any pin out diagrams or know that the loom that goes to the ecu is different? Also its a s2 motor if that makes any difference or helps anyone.
  18. Gday guys i have had a look around trying to find my answer but i haven't found much that helps. Are Auto RB25DET computer and or loom different to manual computer/loom? As I'm trying to wire in my 25 into the coupe and the wire colours are different to what it's telling me. If they are different can someone please point me in the direction of a pin out diagram for both as well as ecu wire colours. Thanks and sorry if this has been covered before.
  19. I wouldnt bother to be honest. I had a RB20DE in my coupe yes been twin cam i know its different but it was really slow! Been in a RB30ET and they pick up very quick, but putting a turbo on the side of a 2ltr single cam i seriously reckon a stock RB30E would be quicker. It's not going to be much better than what you have now imo. I would seriously go down the RB25DET path like i am i havent had mine on the road yet but i have taken it for a quick run, i can tell its going to be some fun. The 25 would have alot more power and probally alot cheaper than turboing the 20E aswell as finding parts too.
  20. Bump also have a JUN rear muffler to suit 3 inch exhaust piping.
  21. Bump Intercooler pipe found. Also chasing a r32 RB20DET ecu in good working order!
  22. Hey mate do you have any pics of the old HR31? Im interested to see if i have seen it around before? Nice R32 mate love the volk's i want a set for my car
