I have heard the vg30 rear housing is slightly larger and the compressor housing is slightly smaller... Would this make a noticeable difference with the performance?

Hey guys, just blew my turbo on my r33 gtst. Want to replace it with another standard one. The compressor housing has 45v3 stamped on it. I have been looking fit a replacement for this and a friend has a 45v1. I have found this information online, can anyone confirm this? 45v1 vg30 bb 45v2 vg30 bb from auto leopard 45v3 vg30 bb 45v4 rb25bb Any disadvantages of installing his 45v1? Smaller compressor/exh housing?
