Just wondering fi police cars are subject to any speed restrictions when they are under lights? I was on the ummm.... freeway that goes past wonderland, on Sunday and was overtaken by an unmarked car doing at least twice what I was, maybe a bit more.

Hi Guys, Just wondering if anyone would have any idea as to what power my car is putting out. Its a R34 Gt-t It has the following Modifications. - 3" turbo back exhaust with high flow cat - Trust pod filter - E-boost set at around .7 to .8 bar - Front mount intercooler. Also, Im considering putting in a Microtech LTX-12. What could I then expect with this properly tuned and running at around 1 bar boost? Is 250rwkw realisticly achievable?

They havent been legal in NSW for many years now. They used to be legal in WA, donno if they still are. I think Ive still got my old uniden out the back somewhere. (It saved me heaps of times)

Take it to an auto electrician. Sounds electrical/sensor related. If you dont have the knowhow or the tools you will have a bugger of a time tracking it down.

I got the 40 psi model. Couldant see the point of the 60.

I think letting a P Plater behind the wheel of an R34 GTR qualifies as REALLY stupid anyhow.

Stops the wastegate from creeping open a little as boost increases. Holds it closed until the initial threshold pressure you select is reached.

A couple of months after I got my car I got a call from the RTA. They said that they wanted to inspect my car. Said it was a random check to make sure that everything necessary was done complyance wise. I took it it to them and they spent about 10 minutes looking over it, compared VIN and engine numbers, details on the compliance plate, said "thanks your fine". Is this kind of inspection regular behaviour from the RTA? Is it just a random check to ensure the importer was complying cars properly or were they looking for something else?

1st try another authorised inspection station. Some interpret the finer points of legislation diferent from others, espically where the wording can be a bit vague.

I was under the impressionj that the standard box and filter was restrictive?

More n00b question?. An R34 has a blowoff valve as standard doesent it? I guess it would be pointless replacing it from both a performance and turbo surge point of view? What about the Wastegate? I assume the stock item is fine for the job?

Ok, so if Im reading this right the general concensus on the way to go isto fit Electronic boost controller Turbo back exhaust Pod filter with heat shielding ECU And leave the Intercooler as the stock one is OK?

Im getting a little confused with some terminology being used. Can some one correct me here. Wastegates - All turbos have them. Come in internal and exteral formats. External vent to outside, Internal feeds back into the intake or exhaust? Blow off Valve - Vents excess pressure when you back off the accelerator like between gears. Bleed Valve - Same as a Blowoff valve? Where does a Blow off valve vent? Exhaust, Intake or just to outside?
