  1. I have a really nice set of 17x8 and 17x9 with almost new tyres all round. They are the perfect size and a really sweet fitment for an R33. I was going to put them on gumtree for about $600 and was hoping to get an offer of around $500. Let me know if you are keen and I get a bunch of photos for you. Otherwise I have an set of older Impul wheels, also 17" but they tyres are not as good, maybe worth around $250 for the set. PM or call me on 0414 502 250 if you wanted me to send photos.
  2. .. also keen on the headlights if you still have them?
  3. Does the intercooler have its mounting brackets? .. I located piping but still need the cooler core and brackets.
  4. Is the intercooler complete with mounting brackets, piping, clamps, etc?
  5. Still if the belts fitted are not exactly correct then the engineer must reject them, and they shouldn't just check that they work but should check part numbers to make sure they are correct for the car. Once the car is passed the engineer and is registered then you can do whatever you like and if you have belts fitted that are close to original specs then that is up to you, however I have seen belts fitted that were just a few degrees out which failed to lock when needed so personally I would just wait a couple of weeks for the right parts and in the meantime call around for second hand ones.
  6. Thank is correct that the seat belts must be ADR approved and be in good condition, not necessarily new .. however they need to be the correct belts for the exact car, you can't just grab some from another model car as they will not work correctly with the specific angles of installation, etc. so the engineer should never approve it if they aren't correct for your car. Klippan are the manufacturers so your only option would be to wait for them to have some ready for you, or call around auto parts stores and wreckers all over Australia (and New Zealand where Sierra's were semi-common) to see if you can find someone with some sitting around already.
  7. Try contacting Klippan directly. http://www.apvautomotive.com/safetyproducts/wps/wcm/connect/APVAutomotive/Home/APVAutomotive_SA/Product%20Range/Seat%20Belt%20Replacement%20Guide.php
  8. Have you found out a price for postage of the intercooler to Melbourne yet? .. otherwise just let me know the package weight and dimensions as well as your postcode so I can check the postage cost? Thanks mate.
  9. I think Albert Park would be harder to arrange with the local council and they are pretty well against anyone parking on the grass, it's also a little painful to access without driving through the city which isn't good for visitors with borderline roadworthy vehicles .. on the other hand Caribbean Gardens is easy to access from any direction even if it is a little bit of a drive for people way out west (but surely its worth the drive?) and has a lot of nice grassy areas and more relaxed requirements that would suit a car show well. Otherwise if you prefer a tarmac surface and want something in the city then there is always that area near docklands where the failed "car fair" was for a few weeks. It's just under the Bolte Bridge and around the corner from CostCo. I am not that keen myself but it could be worth putting on the table for a vote.
  10. Front bar is NOT exactly interchange, the lower edge of the series 2 headlights sits back further than the series 1 lights so the top edge of the bumper is also different. With that said they will swap over and look ok from a distance but it won't be right. Just stick with the series 2 front. Also for other folks looking to identify an R33 its actually quite simple, just check the chassis number: ECR33-0xxxxx = series 1 ECR33-05xxxx = series 1.5 ECR33-1xxxxx = series 2 The same basic rules applies for many Nissan models.
  11. I sit corrected. It appears this part of the rules has changed for the better. Nice work.
  12. Hey Brendan, You mentioned that you also have a plain cast alloy version (not polished or electroplated) which would suit me nicely .. how much cheaper are these? Thanks,
  13. NZ don't have a personal import scheme the same as Australia unfortunately. They simplified the rules to only allow newer cars meeting certain standards. There may be some way around it but nothing that I know of myself.
  14. I can clarify a little more for anyone else who needs more information too ... from 1st Jan 2012 you can only import cars to NZ which have a 3 digit emission code, this is the part listed before the chassis type on the build plate in the engine bay. For example: E-ECR33 (emission code E) GF-EC5W (emission code GF) .. and only cars built to emission standard "Japan 05" will have the newer 3 digit codes and these will be cars built from 2005 onwards.
  15. The rules are quite easy actually for import into NZ .. basically you can import almost any vehicle you like as long as it's built in in 2005 or newer ... the requirement was 2002 and newer up until the end of 2011 but I doubt you can get the car there today ;-) I fear that your only option will be to sell the car here in Australia and just buy something else when you get to NZ.
  16. What do you think postage would cost for the wing mirrors to Melbourne?
  17. Where abouts are you located?
  18. I was looking for a pair of R33 wing mirrors .. please let me know if you have them still, and the best price including postage to Melbourne?
  19. I need an original R33 rear bumper for one day next week so I need to find one cheap or free. I need just the bumper itself not the reo. It can be in fairly poor condition, something you might chuck out because it's not perfect could do the job as long as it fits on the car still ... otherwise anyone in south east Melbourne who has one they are happy for me to borrow would work too! Please PM here or call/text me on 0414 502 250
  20. whats the cheapest price for an R33 rear bumper - just the bumper, reo is not required?
  21. What colours are the rear bumpers and what sort of price?
  22. Do you still have the stock R33 intercooler and pipes?
  23. Do you have the original piping for the stock intercooler, if so what would the best price be including postage to Melbourne?
  24. Did you find the stock intercooler, if so do you also have the original piping with it?
  25. Please let me know how cheap you could do the stock intercooler and piping including postage to Melbourne?
