  1. I did get very lucky and I don't mind admitting it on here as the car won't see the street again till it is registered.
  2. I got pulled over in my GT-R the other day in Altona Meadows since it's got no plates as i'm using a permit. I was driving after 7pm which is a no no, thought I was going to get screwed but the copper said that since he owned a GT-R and was a fan of my car he let me go. I asked him if I could still go to the servo to grab some E85 and he said as far as he was aware he didn't see me and told me to have a good night. 1st bit of luck I've ever had in all the times I've been pulled over.
  3. I don't think they took the covers off. Just noticed they were noisy. I'm not 100% sure what they did.
  4. Gotta see if I can peddle it 1st haha. Never driven a manual down the 1/4 before.
  5. If I had plans to chase more power with bigger turbo's I would have gone with a better ecu but I bought the power fc years ago when I started working on the car. The -7's are almost at their limit so I don't really see the need for a different ecu so I don't have to run afm's.
  6. I'll keep that in mind.
  7. Nah the motor is freshly assembled and that's what racepace had to say.
  8. Standard with adjustable cam gears.
  9. Since my car isn't registered I can't really test out fuel consumption at the moment but it feel awesome on the street. There is so much midrange torque. Chris at Racepace said I needed to sort a few little issues before I could make any more power. The main 3 being standard actuators and AFM's. Plus the clearances in the head were a little big so the valves aren't opening fully. I don't think I'll end up changing anything too soon as I'm pretty happy with how it is. Lets see if there is a high 11 in her.
  10. United e85
  11. That's the plan eventually. You can tell that it is a little lagier than it should be. Once the rest of the car is sorted and I decide what exhaust and what ever else I'm going with then I'll fit new actuators and get a retune.
  12. Can we ask why it's for sale?
  13. There's a bloke in hoppers. Western suburbs Melbourne that sells plastidip. And yeah, you just peel it off when ever your done with it.
  14. 1989 R32 GTR Built engine Walbro 460 fuel pump/ID1000 injectors R34 N1 Turbos Power FC K&N Pods HKS dumps, aftermarket front pipe, 3" high flow cat-3" exhaust 325rwkw - at approx 20psi tapering off to 16psi on E85 http://imageshack.us...1220211932.jpg/
  15. Well I picked up the car yesterday and it made 325rwkw. I ended up going with a set of ID1000's and a walbro 460. The boost spiked to 20psi and tapered back to 16psi as I've still got standard actuators. I was also told that the clearances in my head were a little out so I was down a little on power from that too. All up I'm very happy with the power it made, especially the mid range torque. Not too bad for the little -7's.
  16. Where was that last photo taken Matt? Somewhere along the Great Ocean Road?
  17. I don't want to start a debate hear but I run Rota's and have no issue with them. Yes they are cheap and if I could afford LMGT4's I'd rather them but not on my budget.
  18. Damn that car is clean Bob. Great buy for who ever gets it.
  19. I'd go with what GTSBOY said. Enkei RPF1's and some federals or kumho's or something similar. You could get the lot in 18's for under $2500 if you wanted.
  20. Thought I saw it. What did they charge you for the exhaust if you don't mind me asking? Fark your cars clean too. Looks great!
  21. Back on topic. If you drive an import and the officer that pulls you up is having a bad day, he can defect regardless of what is legal on your car.
  22. Was this at Racepace on the weekend?
  23. I did the same thing as Anthony. Unless you plan on spending another 20k to get it into tip top shape, keep saving and buy one in better condition.
  24. Did you bolt a turbo to your NA motor?
  25. Sounds good to me...
