  1. Well I've got 550's in it now which i thought would be way to small but Chris said i'd still probably make 300+ with them. I wouldn't think they'd go that far.
  2. Adjustable cam gears are in and didn't really want to bother with cams. Doesn't seem like it's worth it for the extra hassle of not being able to fill up if i'm away from home. I guess i'll just wait till I speak to the boys at Racepace and make my mind up on the day.
  3. Cheers mate. Well maybe it's not really worth it after all then. What about midrange driveabilty and cooling properties on the track? No plans for updating turbo's anytime soon.
  4. I had a bit of a search but struggled finding much info on people that have run small turbo's on 98 and then jumped on the E85 band wagon. If there is a similar topic could someone please refer me to it. If not i'm after peoples results and opinions on running -7 turbo's on E85. What was the power increase like, torque in the mid range and fuel consumption? Car's going in for a tune in about 2 weeks and just weighing up whether the swap to ethanol will be worth while or to just stick with 98.
  5. I'll have a search for that. I'm in Melbourne but thanks anyway.
  6. The engine has just been built again by a mate this time though so i'm not too sure if he's touched the aac valve. The plenum is off atm so I can replace some heater hoses so I might just have to get some of that goo for the throttle bodies. Gaskets are new metal ones.
  7. Will cleaning the throttles affect anything else besides idle? I cleaned mine a couple of years ago when I built my motor as I thought it was carbon build up and now my car idles at 2000rpm. That doesn't really bother me though.
  8. Also, is this on 98 or E85?
  9. A similar topic. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/399774-r32-gtr-wheel-fitment-for-18-wheels-with-rolled-fenders/page__fromsearch__1
  10. I only made 255rwkw at 16psi. Racepace said some part of my exhaust may have been holding me back so when i take it back next time i might get them to drop it off after the front pipes to see if it makes a difference.
  11. Gday guys, i'm running -7's at the moment on a fairly standard car with a built bottom end and was also curious as to the difference when changing to -5's. My car is mainly for the street and the odd track day though so i thought it would be a bit of a waste. I was more curious as to how much more i could push the turbo's i have now if i switched to E85? Can someone link me to a thread if there is something related to this.
  12. You can race the car how it is if you like. All you need to do to get on the track is pay the entry fee. Maybe a licence for the track you intend to drift on too.
  13. Or if you don't have that much cash and don't regularly dump the clutch at 8,000rpm you could go an exedy heavy duty. Mine held up fine with that power.
  14. http://www.unitedpetroleum.com.au/store-locator/fuels/E85 There's most the united sites that supply E85. There are a couple more too which are not listed. Plenty in the Western Suburbs
  15. Is that a boot spoiler stuck on the bottom of that thing?
  16. Maybe Hot33 needs to step down to a standard rb20 running standard boost so no more pistons are harmed in the making of your powar
  17. Will be watching this thread. Time for a new motor mate. Speak to an engine builder and a tuner to see what best suits your plan and budget.
  18. I've got some questions too. My GT-R's just about back on the road and it's got all the usual basics from my last build. Built motor, -7's, 3" turbo back exhaust, power fc, 550 sard injectors and a walbro. I know i can probably make around the 300kw mark with what i have on 98 but would it be worth switching to E85 for a bit more power and the other benefits that come with the fuel? I know i'll need a bigger fuel pump and injectors but would my exhaust also be holding the car back a bit? I was just planing on running straight United E85 as i have plenty of local pumps. What are peoples thoughts? Worth it or not?
  19. Have you ever had them flow tested or matched and what did the car run like with them in?
  20. I'd say Racepace but i'm not too sure what they're like with a Wolf. Best to give them a call.
  21. I do a fair bit of long distance travel in my BA XR6T and would recommend it but for better fuel consumption i would buy a BF with a 6 spd. Mines 4spd auto and on the freeway gets around 500-600km out of a tank at roughly $75-80 to fill. Mates that have the 6spds get between 700-800km out of a tank on the freeway. My cars got 280,000km with 300rwkw and is still going strong and is as comfy as anything on long trips.
  22. Very nice pair of cars there mate and as the others said the Advan's look good on the 32.
  23. Upgrade to a larger 17 or 18" rim for ease of finding tyres plus then you can go wider too like a 9.5 or 10 to fit wider rubber for more grip.
