quick update: Problem was found to be 1 of my AFMs starting to die. It was intermittent so we had trouble seeing it happen all the time when I was at the workshop. AFMs were cleaned but found that 1 kept cutting out every now and then so replaced it and now car runs fine.

Bringing up an old topic .. my GTR has recently started to do this. I've cleaned out my AFMs and also heard the NIStune could be at fault as my O2 sensor was not working? Got a loan ECU put into my car and it does not drop anymore, however when cruising along every now and then my revs would drop a few hundred RPM and the car seems like tos bogged down. That would only last a few secs before it jumps back up to normal, anyone have any idea?

Driven my 33R for around a year and a half and been pulled over 4 times. Twice were just RBT road blocks, once was the day I slapped on my SAU sticker (probably only a few months back) no issues from the police as everything was fine, and once was a quick check of the car as it sounded "loud". Overall they didn't take very long to look over the car and realise its a pretty stock GTR apart from the exhaust.

No hail on my GTR but driving home in the middle of the storm was crazy. Visibility was like 2M ahead and to top it off trees and power poles all over the ground. Had to go through this giant puddle to get to my house and thatw as not good on the car. Idle sounds screwed at the moment and had a giant branch stabbed under my car (no idea where I dragged that from as I basically couldn't see the road) Now here's to praying no water got sucked in. *please no major damage*

Exiting Leach Hwy turning left on Albany Hwy going towards Vic Park. Damn bumpy and I go over it everyday for work -_-

Alright, after a whole day of running around doing errands and tryign to figure out the problem with my car, I've just realized that 1 of the spacers was not bolted back properly (loose) (Thanks R31 POWER) Now just need to find my damn allen key for my wheel nuts to get it off and tighten it all up. Cheers for the help guys.
-
Yeah I'm about to jack it up and get under there to have a look. Thanks for the commenting guys.

don't think they are actually hitting the stock rims on the GTR. Have 25mm spacers all around (came with car to make it look more aggresive)

Hello all. So, I've just had my brakepads changed and rotors replaced. The guys that did it work next door to me and will look at it for me on Monday, but seeing as I need my car over the weekend I wonder if anyone would have any idea what is making this knocking noise. Now I know 1 of my rear coilovers has a leak and is knocking but this is a totally different sound and a seperate issue (i think). When I accelerate I would not hear this knocking but as my foot is off the accelerator I hear a series of knocking noises kind of like how if you would drop a snooker ball onto a table. It seems to be knocking as the wheel spins (from the sounds of it). Any idea what it may be? The higher the speed I'm going at the louder the knocking is. Reason I ask is simple as I need to use my car over the weekend. Will definately take it back on monday to have it looked at but if it is something simple I may take a crack at it tomorrow morning. Thanks in advance for any advice that is given. - Vic

Wasn't bagging them as I'm more than happy with their services. The fact they even told me whow as going to do it was much appreciated. Just letting people know my experience with NIStune @ Imports that is all.
-
Imports101 gets C-Red to tune the Nistune. I got mine done via Imports101 and was told C-red would do the tuning (dyno sheet also shows it was C-Red that did it)

+1 on the PM too please. Live SOR and don't want to get dodgy service (I've had plenty)

There's pros and cons to going for a GTR or GTT really and it all kind of evens out. You said you want a head turner and a nice drive and in my opinion a R32GTR would probably be a better choice. I had a R33 GTST before I went away to Kal for 6 months and honestly the running costs on it is about the same as my R33GTR. 1 thing's for sure though is that I get more heads turning in my stock looking GTR than I ever did in my mildly modified GTST. It's true what everyone has been saying about the more you work the car the pricier the running costs. Take some time out and test drive a few cars before making the big decision because nothing is worse than buying a GTT and regretting not buying a mint GTR instead. Potential wise, the GTR has more possibilities than a GTT although the age of the GTR might be an issue. I know with the amount I paid for my GTST and the money poured into it I really regretted not buying a GTR from the go, but that was many years ago when skylines were hardly ont he road and they were going for 25k for a GTST. Well that's my opinions anyway. Good luck dude.

Was pulled over on the weekend by some old looking copper. He wasn't pleased with my "pop-off valve" , though the younger cop just said "nice GTR, give it a little rev I just want to hear the engine". Thought I was goign to get a yellow but after he asked me the 2nd time (I pretended I didn't hear him the first time) I obliged and he just gave me the thumbs up and said "have a nice day". Got off scot free, I think I should go buy lotto.

No probs mate.

Try Vision-R in O'Connor, they usually have some stock.

Got my Nistune done on my GTR 33 via C-Red. No dramas so far.
