I've got the exact problem, happens around 3k - 3.5k rpm, only while accelerating, does not happen when it's in neutral. Narrowed it down, and it seems to be coming from somewhere before the cat, hope someone could shed some light. Driving me insane lol

I've had my set of BC racing coilovers now for about 20,000km and they have started to creak and get a bit noisy

I've got a 2.5" Kakimoto Full Mega N1 catback, get some good comments from people about the sound. Though the Kakimoto R is an oval shaped muffler, so there may be a difference in the tone.

Varrstoen ES 2.2.2 are probably the best looking TE37 replicas in my opinion, they go for around $1500. If you want cheaper check out the Rota Grids.
