  1. thanks SLYWPN :-)
  2. would I need a laptop to read the mixture and all that stuff using an eManage? or does the support tool have a small screen thing like the PowerFC? I might contemplate getting the PRofec E-01 one day, but it's a bit expensive...
  3. a stock RB20DET turbo!?
  4. let us know if you could DJ_L3ThAL, I would like to know if what you did (cleaning?) fixed it or not. Should I take it to Nissan (I know they charge HEAPS, but I am desperate) or some other place like AVO, ICE, etc...?
  5. The HKS super power flow pod is not oil based.
  6. I would say check your fuses (especially the ones in the engine bay), but it sounds like it has something to do with when you had your clutch changed. Maybe they forgot to connect some wires up? or nicked some so the don't have full contact. Hopefully someone knows what's going on. Try the fuses, who knows? maybe onces about to go...
  7. I have been told by the guys at AVO turbo world that Nissan don't recommend going over 12psi on a stock RB20DET engine and turbo, etc.
  8. hehe, true. I think I'll end up getting an eManage, do it right the first time I reckon!
  9. That's a good idea. But I think I would like to have it anyway (the support tool, if I were to get an eManage) so I could slowly teach myself and experiment.
  10. Is there anyway to stop it from happening? I want to repair or replace the window so it looks better (it's really bad).
  11. I have checked the "run" for stones and any obstructions, all clear. Has to be something mechanical...??
  12. Howdy, My drivers side window has some bad sratches in two places that seem to me to coincide with it scraping when going up and down. My passenger side window has started this too. Could this be the guides worn or something? They are electric of course. I want to get my car tinted, but I should get this fixed before I get it done. Does anyone know how to fix this!?!? Thanks for any help in advance...
  13. nice work, wish I could afford AND be able to do that!!
  14. keeping the car running well is more important to me than power as I don't have the money to replace the turbo or pistons or anything else that might die on me due to my noviceness. :-)
  15. extra 60rwkw...nice. ned: according to www.greenline.jp the S-AFC II would cost me around $AU460 delivered, and the eManage and both the harness' and support tool would cost me $AU780 delivered. Just to clear things up, I don't want to get the S-AFC II or eManage or extra power or anything like that, it's just to control the mixture and have peace of mind that it's not running too lean and pinging and etc. etc...
  16. As I am not from Sydney (only know it a little bit), but you could try www.uniqueautosports.com as they seem to have a lot of stock instock. And they are only 25mins from the CBD. Just a thought, hope it helps. :-)
  17. At the moment I just have the factory air feed thing from the front of the car with the little "guide" that used to go into the factory air box. What would you recommend for a decent fresh air feed for the POD?
  18. I just recently (like 4 days ago) replaced my stock air box with an aftermarket pod filter. My 4 bolts were also not easy to remove, I used a socket wrench to get mine off, I found it ALOT easier using this than an open-end spanner. Once I had the bottem half of the box out, I found I could lift the top half with the AFM up a little bit to get to the bottem 2 bolts. One last thing, my POD is an HKS Super Power Flow, if yours is this too, be prepared to have an even harder time getting the nuts onto the stock bolts when attaching the new mount thing for the POD. Hope some of this helps :-)
  19. thanks heaps guys! I should be able to do something about it now... :-)
  20. I personally warm the car up until the temp needle starts to move then I take off and drive carefully until the temp needle is at normal operating temperature. I know most would think it's a waste of time to sit there for 10 minutes waiting for the car to warm up, but it's just one of those things I do to look after my car as much as I can. (not saying you people don't look after your cars). I also adjust my turbotimer to the approriate amount of time for the drive I just did. (don't know why I added that :-) ) my two cents worth anyways...
  21. Just wondering what other people have used for their heat shields/partition for a POD filter. I have some new 1-2mm gal, but just want to know what would be best. Cheers.
  22. Oh I should of asked, can the S-AFC II or the e-manage use these 2 knock sensors?
  23. Cool, thanks Steve. I will have a look tomorrow!
  24. Hey all, I will be getting a Apexi S-AFC II in the near future and was wondering if my engine (RB20DET) has this knock sensor that the S-AFC II can utilise?
  25. A good site to visit to help you sort it all out is: http://www.skylinesdownunder.com/tech/mode...al_numbers.html
