Something else to add... When in gears 1, 2 and 3 when I take my foot off the accelerater, there is a different noise which is less audible which doesn't sound good either. sounds like the bearing which makes that noise (if it is a bearing) is dry or something... Sorry if that's all a bit confusing, but it's hard to explain...
-
Hey all, I have been doing a bit of reading on the SAU site but everyone else with similar problem to mine is expreiencing the opposite of my noise...does that make sense? Anyway, there is a noise comming from my gearbox which sounds like bearing related, but apprently from what I understand it is not the thrust bearing that everyone else has problems with. The noise is there when the car is in neutril (spelling) and not pressing the clutch. When I press the clutch in, the noise goes away. The noise is there also when I am in gears 1, 2 and 3. but as soon as I press in the clutch to change gears, the noise goes away again. I should add that the noise gets louder with increased revs in those gears mentioned. And it is a continual noise (ie; not what a warped disc would make). (the noise is also SLOWLY starting to happen in 4th and 5th) Can someone PLEASE let me know what is causing this and what I can do to have it rectified (ie; what needs replacing and costs if they can be provided) Thanks to anyone who can help!

well I have one... do the places like Nova and the other two mentioned in Rezz`s thread have website and such for a bit of info and etc on them? Cheers,.
-
where would you recommend going to get one of these "alignments"? I have tried myself, but it's a bit fiddily, and want it done properly. A place like Novus or similar? Cheers.

Just read Rezz`s request to delete all the Japanese english teaching stuff from his thread on CARS! lol Thought I would start this and hopefully it will continue on from where it was left off in Rezz`s thread... I for one am extremely interested in this as I see some of you are too! And many thanks go out to Rezz, DaiOni and Demon Dave for all their valuable insight into Japan and ways to go about making a life for onesself there, Cheers guys! PS: I know this is the "General Automotive Discussion" area and maybe this should be in another area of SAU, but thought more people would have a chance of seeing it here and learning something. :-)

Hey all, I was going to take the fuse out of the fuse box in the engine bay to diable 4WD in my R32 GTS-4, but upon looking at the fuse box cover, I saw that the fuse actually powers not only the 4WD but a thing called a PTC Heater. Just wondering if I were to pull the fuse out and make it run in RWD, would I damage anything but not having this PTC Heater on? Hope all that makes sense, and thanks to anyone who can shed some light on this...

Nissan to recall 2.55 mil cars !! Inc Skylines

hope this isn't the start of the end... -
just to let anyone know still interested in this, I haven't been able to get to Ice Performance yet, but I found out (I think) why my engine was making a ticking noise; I was parking on a lean and the oil must of drained almost completely out of one side of the head and thus when I started it in the morning there was no oil there to lube up the cam and lifters, etc. until the pump got the oil up there. Have been parking on level ground since and not one ticking noise!! hoorah!

don't know if you guys know why they sit outside and nothing happening with them, but I remember reading ages ago that they stuffed up heaps of the mechanicals and everything in the car started to fuse together and rust up. that's what I recall anyway, does anyone have a website with a detailed spec list and a bit of history and such on these Zero R's? cheers. PS: www.hks.com.au or www.bd4s.com.au has heaps of pics of these cars sitting out the back of an HKS factory if anyone wants more. Pity they just sit they and rust away...:-(

mine was leaking, just tightend all the clamps I could find and no probs ever since! cost me around....$0 :-)

cobo_11 replied to skyzerr33's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
that bloody euro #*%& bringing his "guidence" or what ever. #*%&!!!!. Bring back the guys (and girls) who designed the R32, R33, etc... none of this futuristic SH!T!!!! PS: Haven't researched as to who designed the earlier Skylines, could have well been another european. Just venting my frustration as to the way all the designs of the new cars are going=>furturistic...talk about crap! IMHO -
glad to help

there is a pic of the wheels that is looking down on then from an angle and I can see 3 of the 4 nut 'tunnels', there is a distinctive square pattern corresponding with 4 studs.
-
oooo yeah, look at all that rust! what a nightmare. Looks like it's been abused more than the norm. And yeah, 4 stud wheels...bit dodge if you ask me.

TOKYO MOTOR SHOW - is on pay tv!
cobo_11 replied to cobo_11's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Just to clarify things a little (I tend to do this), I have taken pic of the ad I read and refer to, as it states (which I should have mentioned from the beginning), coverage of the Tokyo Motor Show COMMENCES from the 24th of Oct, not just Friday. My apologies. -
Here a pic of my ABS assembly from an R32, but I would imagine the R33's wouldn't look much different.
-
If the rain ever stops, I will take a photo of my ABS unit thing in the engine bay and post it, if I can figure it out how do to that...

TOKYO MOTOR SHOW - is on pay tv!
cobo_11 replied to cobo_11's topic in General Automotive Discussion
The Tokyo motor show was advertised as being on the Bloomberg channel in the Austar guide, so I assume it's right. I haven't seen anything on the Bloomberg channel yet, but there is no guide for it so I guess you have to be lucky to catch some of it (motor show). If anyone has, or knows where to get a guide for the bloomberg channel, please speak up! (besides the tv guide option on the set top box, that is painful!) -
that is some funny sh!t!

I swear on my skyline that I tell no lie! -
Just to let anyone know that has access to the Bloomberg Channel, that they will be broadcasting the Tokyo Motor Show (which starts today) from today. As for times, I don't know :-( The only details I have about it are the ones I have already said. If I find out anymore I will post here... Enjoy! (I know I will)
