  7. I have heard the adjuster on the schroth is good so the willans is also a go? will try to find some to check out. the Velo ones I have are ok in the quick release mechanism but the strap length adjuster is not a smooth easy to use mechanism and requires much dicking around

  9. No. You can't buy one and it wouldn't be cheaper
  10. I've said it before, there would be many intense R35 builds around, just not all have a build thread. whilst I am posting plenty of info there are significant aspects of the build which are not fully disclosed So for some more pics: roof off now, cage begins

  13. thanks guys, the mercury crew is certainly getting right into it. Kymbo, would be good to catch up again at the track. Eric, glad to see you are enjoying modding the car. here is one of the snaps from the baseline geometry of the R35 next will some further runs with the top racing kit and then design of the aero pieces and further test runs
  14. this is a standard box with upgraded parts, the DSG uses a synchromesh type engagement which is retained here in the dodson setup as far as I am aware. a dogbox is a completely different when compared to a DSG
  15. we're on it, driver weight target 75kg, current weight 79kg I like red wine too much to give up though so I'm going to have to stop hitting the pizza's and sushi train.
  16. we are hoping for about 250-280 less than stock Noel (1450-1500) its getting hard to find weight now though...
  17. I think the boys might be reaching the end of the line with weight loss off the bare chassis (for now) about 39kg once roof off. almost get the cage for free

  21. haha, thanks Noel, the Hi octane R34 and Mark Berry have plenty of tricks up their sleeve and far more development from what I hear. I also require much more track time, especially with semislicks (we have been running slicks to date so it will be a big change for sure) anyway, here's some more eye candy, tranny with straight cut gearset in...
  22. further stripping, glass gone, double skinned areas cut out. As the big guy says, Chop chop!
