we fixed the fitment difficulties. I reckon the fit is now 95% OEM. slight uneven panel gap near quarter panels, very acceptable The front reinforcement bar needs to be cut to size at the ends to fit the bumper intercooler shroud sits well around the intercooler, it would require trimming to fit your individual intercooler. brake duct guides look to be very usable as I have mentioned previously. just need a solution at the rotor! we will be addressing this next. The oil and tranny coolers need some tweaking of their brackets so that the coolers sit flush with the cutouts on either side, the effect when positioned right is excellent. Overall I am very happy with the end product. If you are a track junkie then I reckon this bumper will be for you, I will however partially reserve judgement until I can investigate the brake ducting solution and its function out on the track. Also, if you are considering this bumper though you will need to budget for quite a lengthy install and some fabrication of the cooler brackets this is a photo from the guys at the workshop. I will get some more detail shots soon.

    Love The Beast

Awesome. Will be a beast at Bathurst for sure!
  7. I have the Willall tranny cooler also. if you get the front mount you will need to remove your washer bottle to get the best air flow according to reports. I am still waiting for the propump Martin!
  8. PWR radiator and new carbon bumper with bigger inlets for fmic/radiator flow and oil and tranny coolers also

sounds like there night be a fix for the fitment issue. top racing and their manufacturer carbon weave have personally called me 3 times thisafternoon and sent about 4 emails to get on top of the problem. seem very keen to be helpful. will keep you posted...
  12. wont be able to get there this year but will start planning for next year now. good luck!

so the the guys at mercury started fitting the bumper today. it was a real bitch to fit, not an oem-like fit thats for sure. managed to get it to line up well in most paces with a lot of swearing, though the fitment at the side indicators is a problem we are yet to solve. fitment at the cooling plate under the hood is a little off also. I will be in correspondence with top racing in the morning to see if there is anything they recommend. still haven't fitted the air scoops and deflector at the intercooler opening.
  14. I will be deep in negotiations over the next few days.....
  15. I would be pushing it with the Mrs, might see if I can sneak in the 2 day drive Bathurst event. Would love to plan for the five day event next year though.

Darren, the bumper was actually very reasonably priced. It cost less than many front lip spoilers on there own. It will require some mucking around though when fitting to reposition the coolers to fit perfectly and maximize the use of the cooling ducts/cutouts.

Best chat to Trent and the guys at mercury. I haven't seen them set the camber in person. We haven't fully tuned the suspension yet, and went out last time with some rough adjustments. Will have it sorted for the next outing. The high octane setup is expensive. What control arms did you go with?

We were running a tune with 535hp, conservative as the guys had literally just finished putting the car together the previous day. There is a list of mods at the start of the thread, though we used a different radiator (PWR rather than the CBRD) Hopefully will run about 600hp next time out.
  21. I have used a willall midpipe and catback and now a custom 4 inch with a magnaflow muffler. I have heard of guys on this forum using willall, hks, challenge and Greddy. Maybe there are others but I have not heard of anyone using the stillen system. Most people know of stillen but it isn't exactly the first choice of many people outside the USA. If you want feedback on the stillen product, try the NAGTROC.org forum Why the stillen system over the many others?

sure will be tough but I cant wait to give it a crack! If you don't set your targets high you will always underachieve. I really need to be sensible about it though, as an inexperienced driver, this thing is now capable of biting me in the arse.

the quality of the bumper looks fantastic, and it definitely looks tough. will see how fitment goes. nice pics showing the ducting either sode of intercooler iopening. hopefully we can make use of these though I suspect things will be tight back there once on!
