  1. sometimes I get a good feeling, yeah
  2. The thing is, they do have some fast cars I would love to see over here other than the retired SSE evo. I hope the rumours of some other cars coming over are true, will wait to see what unfolds. The US series tyre regs seem to be different though and available tyre sizes are therefore greater. They dont seem to think much of the Japanese time attack tradition of limiting to semislicks.
  3. trash talk from the americans on FB https://www.facebook...150427299790881 https://www.facebook...326063994073178 Not sure how the 'Global time attack series' over there is going. If it is anything like the world series of baseball though I reckon an american will be odds on favourite to win it lol
  4. and in case you didnt read it above, Cyber evo and Sierra Sierra evo have retired. Takizawa-san (the Dentisit who owns the cyber evo - background as an engineer) is planning an R35 for competition in 2013 if rumours are correct.
  5. RE-Amemiya confirmed from japan http://advanwheels.com.au/racing/car.aspx?id=43&eid=12
  6. ok so regurgitating the obvious wesite stuff but for those who arent subcribed on FB or troll the web: WTAC CEO Ian Baker and message for 2012 http://www.worldtimeattack.com/index.php/bring-on-2012/
  7. Time to start a thread to collate all the info on teams, rumours and what not. Despite Fatz running a breakaway superlap competition, I reckon WTAC 2012 should be bigger and better than ever. Hopefully more international crews will make the trip if rumours are correct. No doubt there will be more crazy local cars in all classes. We will be there again in the R35, in the hope of significantly improving on last year. Dates confirmed as 10th and 11th of August. Plenty of info and rumours already appearing around the internet.
  8. Um yeah, the Gibson Motorsport R32 GTR was just a wee bit modified
  9. Here you go http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/272151-good-tow-cars/
  10. Haha. It's so light it floats. Seriously though, nfi. Trent took the pic
  11. apparently due to the B clutch over heating by slipping. this caused extreme heat in the b clutch housing (tightened and locked with loctite). as a result of the heat the housing has loosened and the clutch would not operate so the gear selector is trying to engage without releasing the clutch which resulted in the broken selector fork. not sure why the clutch was slipping. two things thought to contribute to slipping are incorrect torque tables and left foot braking. our torque tables were spot on and we uncovered no overlapping left foot breaking on review of both mine ad Tarzan's data.
  12. Plenty happening.Suspension, aero, power, weight All will be revealed in time.Ok maybe not all.
  13. that is very quick, congrats Steve. I am also interested in knowing what tyres that was on
  14. Things are in motion with our planned modifications for next year. Very exciting stuff. small plug for the mercury lads, they deserve it.... http://speedhunters....otorsports.aspx
  15. great effort miles
  16. White R35 prince Charles hospital ground floor under cover car park. You on here?
  17. plenty of great low km R35's come up for sale. many are fantastic value. buy one for close to 100k and spend 60-70k on a built engine with alpha 9/10 kit and some tranny upgrades is what I would do running costs can be kept reasonable if you are smart and hunt around for things in advance. you get screwed though if you rely on nissan for servicing and supplying parts
  18. agree with Duncan. the local nissan guys just take off wheels, apply a lube on the hub and and fit them back on to troque spec This fixed mine when I had it twice but as Duncan said it will come and go. I only ever really noticed mine in carparks where the sound echoed and amplified.
  19. btw Brenton can take his time to answer emails. keep persisting.
  20. they are awesome. nice and inconspicuous. most of all though this thread made me laugh. things have obviously got out of hand since february 2010 lol
  21. Alpha 12? Ay caramba! We have a detuned alpha 10 running 750awhp on 21psi We don't know how we are going to cope with the power when we run 30psi 'maximum attack' which is still to come! Admittedly we have much to do sorting out aero and suspension which should help but i am not sure how i would cope if we had the alpha 12 power! Having said that, you acclimatise quickly to the brute power and it becomes quite banal very quickly. Knowing AMS it will be a strong package. This car is going to be a monster!
  22. just jap have been great with R35 parts Andrew has anyone ever swapped ADM/JDM MFD's ? Chris rogers has looked at the setup extensively, cant remember whether I have heard it having been down or if their are substantial differences that would prohibit swapping the MFD's
  23. Bought all my Carroll Smith books from Amazon. Great reading.
