  1. Im sure you could get a PWR transmission cooler kit for around $165, maybe a bit more? plus fitting obviously. A set of helper springs is no more than $180 HD tow bar is ~$6-700 (depending on hitch or tongue) Load Leveling kit is anywhere up to $1000 (all depends on ball weight and specific kit etc)
  2. benson, what are the GPS probes? the VDO type? do they need a signal converter to give a pulse?
  3. Yep helper leafs definately make a difference, we added some to our old XE wagon which is solely a tow car and it made a noticable difference. If you are set on a falcon and are going to use it for towing, i'd strongly suggest upgrading the brakes. The aren't good at the best of times, start towing and they hate life. Don't have to go crazy, but a set of slotted DBA's and some good pads will set you back under $500 and be up to the job.
  4. A mate of mine has been out today to write the road book for a round of our state championship... I have suggested we run the rally in June next year not September!
  5. Frequently replaced the turbos due to wear from running high boost
  6. He might have been there, but didn't see much, too busy watching Porn in snowy's toerag
  7. Ok so I checked and im pretty sure CVT X-Trail is rated to 2000kg (same as the manual) What I can't figure out is my falcon (manual) is only rated to 1600kg, has more torque and weighs more? (autos can do 2300kg, with a HD towbar). The only thing I could possibly put it down to is clutch?
  8. I wonder how on earth an X-trail is rated to 2000kg?? Ive only driven the pusser CVT petrol model and it was so gutless, i wouldn't expect it/let alone consider it to be able to haul 2 tonne behind it.
  9. Yeh damn good product and we only used a 10th of its capabilities, they are going to make a shit load out of it for sure! I still like to have a terratrip (good for accurate distances/if you get lost etc), but I have figured out how to route the course (in google maps) accurately and upload it to my GPS, giving me complete turn by turn guidance for the entire day.
  10. Weather looks to be fine, but that always changes down here as you know! Looks like only 15 entries so far
  11. Hiding cos our car still isn't repaired And driver still on crutches Duncan did JR ever got in contact with you RE the SAU Christmas Dinner?
  12. Yes it helps to have your belts done up... and tight Ive actually got bruises on my collar bone from the HANS device cos belts are so tight (need some air cushion pads)
  13. For those with big stoppers and clearance issues with foreign objects, how about running scrapers?
  14. Well done again Damo, 62.6 is a very respectable time and considering track temp was so low and you struggled for grip only tells us there is more in it! PS im still waiting for my cheque... or is it in the mail? Lol!

  18. How do you determine what size tank to run? I've seen things in boots the size of a keg and ive also seen tanks in the engine bay maybe only 5" diameter, is it determined by pump flow or is there a formula to calculate or bigger is better? what?

  24. The problem with the Turbo's is the TCM and PASM does not switch completely off. Even when off, they still interject. Porsches stance on this is it is not a motorsport car, thats what the GT3/2 is for. Jim said it was dangerous when you pushed it hard, any amount of slip in the rear and the Engine would cut out. and I remember Tony Alford/Tony Quinn both got 997 Turbo's prior to R35's and both said the same thing aswell, and that Porsche was not interested at all in reprogramming and/or disabling the TCM/PASM.
