  1. Yep correct Greg, I always read the regs and highlight areas of importance (IE late time etc) and then also carry in car for reference! Read them, interpret them... Even clarifying with God (aka Benson) is a good move.
  2. I prefer to look at it as insurance for when the driver f*&k's up and blames the nav! But its also good for post event analysis. Does the PMD come with a loom? I just bought a Mono RCA to Mono 3.5mm cable was less than $5 from memory.
  3. Wow! Those welds are beautiful!
  4. You should connect up the Intercom to your camera, love to hear damo calling, plus it does cut out alot of the gravel noise, but still gives a bit of engine note.
  5. What intercom do you have Savman?
  6. Ok here is my crash, still working on getting the quality up, but if you select 480p once in it comes up a bit sharper (Gavin has one of the older POV1's). I was lucky enough to be supplied by Qstarz with one of their 5Hz GPS loggers and it turned up the night before so I stuck it in and only got as far as doing this one stage with it in! Available from www.highoctanedirect.com.au for $199.00 Using Dashware for the overlay. Question I have, is anyone else having problems with video's out of POV's (or any camera for that matter?) having to be converted before you can edit in Windows Movie Maker or Dashware or anything? I think this is where my quality loss is coming from, cos I need to convert from AVI to WMV or MPG before I can edit.
  7. I remember that corner last year snowy and you are spot on, Riana is possibly one of the most fatiguing stages due to its length and the way it changes its flow and terrain. I know what you mean about the notes.. Sometimes they just don't read right in the heat of the moment and can catch you out. I remember not recceing Queenstown last year and there is an 8L 50 t> 3L, and you just come hooking into a 3L downhill! Your effort was a bit better than Newt's! but Silver medal to the Woo! Love to see your crests at the Natone School. well done too BTW proven you were as quick as last year in a "legal car"
  8. Looking at some of the steering wheels, maybe they would be better off having a PS3 hand controller!
  9. Ooh Yay! Will be good to see ya! No doubt ill be trying to squeeze 5 days recce into 3 so maybe not till the welcome party.
  10. Well I haven't been out yet for a look, but I saw on the news last week the train bridge you pass under at the end of Rossarden stage just before turning back on the highway (where every one services) and the water was up to the bottom of that bridge!
  11. Ah good to see he finally has them
  12. Yeh don't care about that since I can't go. More importantly whats the go with Day 2?
  13. He did a bit of damage to the old girl at Safari!
  14. Maybe consider a bag? its lighter and holds more stuff Somewhere like bsmsport sells them. plus it attaches to the cage via velcro
  15. A5 with an option to go A4 (advance notice required), Marlin's living back in the 70's I hardly use the roadbook much anymore though, usually only to get to lunch breaks.. and if your in a skelta, you just can't have it in there cos it weighs like 100 grams!
  16. Did you consider Modena? We too have had PAR in the past and had problems with it. While they were VERY good about replacing a COMPLETE gearbox under warranty (who else does that with motorsport products?), moving to a Modena this year in the new car was like chalk and cheese. Im not going to tell you how to build your car cos it looks like you have far more of an idea about what you are doing than me! Love the fabrication work on this so far!
  17. Cos its just how you roll
  18. Wow Redbull seem to be able to get on the gas heaps earlier
  19. Yeh cross fingers no road damage when the water subsides. But plus 1 for rain
  20. Car is looking really good Damo, shame about the turbo... surely its not even that old? And as for noisy in the car, I found the best way is to get a better helmet with ear muffs and that
  21. Its not until your drilling the centre out of bolts that you truely become a weight weenie
  22. I have yet to see this eNews, but would love to if you haven't got much going on...
  23. That should shake a few feathers? How would Pritchards car be elligible for EM? its an 04 model? or does it work back to first year of manufacture?
  24. So Jensen did a 1:48
