  1. Any news stu on the GPS tracking you had planned? Will it be implemented this year?
  2. Thanks Greg, BTW I should say thanks for all the mint Carbon bits you whipped up for the car! certainly looks good! Front lips are going to become a consumable though, so I don't suppose you have a mould of them?
  3. Incar from our debut in the 4wd/turbo class at the opening round of the Tas Rally Championship.
  4. 270 at the Flywheel though, thats only 50 or so more than stock
  5. There is, its called demonstration... If your car doesn't meet the regs you can run in there
  6. Who's driving you or him?
  7. This is Eddy, he has no mechanical sympathy
  8. Nah, just a CS (not that there is a huge difference as the CS has an RS box and clutch)... never seen the track or anything just some old timer in Brisbane that never let it even see 8,000rpm!
  9. Nah you could probably buy 4 or 5 Evo's for the price of this one
  10. Well Gav bought the new car (shock horror)... SO exciting times, but not till after Targa.
  11. Too right, it could do with about 100-150 more hp, but I don't know that gav's driving style would suit a turbo. plus to build a 968 Turbo RS is big dollars in the engine alone It does clean up in the wet though Thanks greg she sure is a good thing, the learning begins come saturday morn! Alot of classic cars are still big dollar, and probably more than what a large percentage of modern cars cost. PS That Green RS Focus is gone. Baldrick and Bec bought it.
  12. Yeh test driving a car today in Brisbane, then hoping to trade something else in the garage in on it. You can build a hand grenade up for EM and go out and win it or bin it.... OR buy a new modern car, have care free motoring, finish and hope for a top 10. Well I don't exactly have much positive energy left for the old Dak Dak... and I don't think a 944 with 150kw atw can cut the mustard much anymore. But we'll see, 3 DNF's don't really lift your confidence. Plus EMO's have filled 5 of the 6 podium spots for the last 2 events. Targa is a long event though and I guess experience counts and not too many of the EMO contenders have done more than a 2 day rally before, but then again tyre management has been thrown out the window with the new tyre regs.
  13. No just sick of unreliable cars and unbeatable EMO's
  14. Well 944 is good to go once again, but ultimately this will be her last event. Today is shopping day, and we are moving to the modern field...
  15. Gonna be trashed by the time 300+ cars run over it!
  16. I hate these speed control sections and if its the section of road im thinking of its a fair bit of gravel as the Natone stage of RT was shortened to start after the gravel.
  17. EMO's aren't the only culprit's, at Classic Tasmania there was plenty of gravel thrown up on the corners and the modern crs hadn't even run through yet!
  18. Benson is more a of a taker than a giver though...
  19. Thats not like Stuart what have you done to offend him??? If he's not answering your calls im sure i'm even further down his ignore list! I'll have no hope of borrowing a Pov camera off him now for next weekends rally
  20. I think what he is referring to is his Porsche only receives basic mods like spring/shock change, pads, muffler deletion and tune... Where as the Super alphabet gets a $100k upgrade between rounds...
  21. Yep and he is a good bloke to boot! Good for a laugh!
  22. On other news our Gravel EVO 9 is back from getting tuned at MPC. just fiddly bits to do now before first round on the 19th. Making some good power considering its running a restrictor. Antilag and Launch are very phat too Im actually scared to think how quick it will be on gravel comeing from a sprinkler! Almost looking more forward to running in it than Targa!
  23. Yeh looking through EM there is a long list of potentials, just makes it even harder for the N/A RWD plebs!
