  1. Yeh lol! Had a couple of ppl spooked!
  2. What cops? ours are all in court babysitting criminals. If your smart and recce in a silver falcon, people think you are the cops (as was the case twice during Rally Tas recce!)
  3. Guru at Fitzgerald's says engine is fine, just head gasket which may have happened when split radiator hose way back at High Country, just wasn't showing up until engine was heat soaked... Find out next weekend when it gets a thrashing. Cross fingers/Touch wood/pat head/spin around 3 times/throw salt over shoulders. Otherwise ill let everyone know where the best bonfire is going to happen post Targa!
  4. Might be there... Why use Baskerville to setup your suspension? In the past we found Pateena Rd as good as anywhere to test..
  5. Not entirely sure, he stopped on Hellyer Gorge with a mechanical and had requested a tow truck, but when we drove from Warratah service back through Hellyer he had got it going and made it to Savage. Heard various reports that he had stopped again on Savage, but also heard he had gone off road so not too sure. Alot of crashes thats for sure this weekend!
  6. Btw check out Nathan Reeves curb sliding the street stage! http://classictasmania.com.au/video/reeve_web.wmv
  7. Well he thinks its fixable, I don't... Its now overheated good and proper about 6/7 times with the new engine, its an all alloy motor and plugs look like it was running lean. It was showing some signs of headgasket, but not 100%. Not milky oil, but it was bubbling from the radiator and the coolant smelt fumey, so I reckon cracked water jacket in exhaust port. Alloy doesn't like that sorta heat and the old engine was a testament to that. I have asked for an answer by the end of the week so I can look elsewhere if need be. Not looking good though, and I cannot afford to keep wasting time away from work for DNF's. On the positive side YT was AMAZING where I spectated Saturday/Sunday, drifting all the way around the spectator point on Hellyer. You would never think it was a Monaro the way he drove the thing! Gotta laugh though, it was so short notice getting the Monaro organised and a navigator arranged that at the first service Hodgo was running around asking if anyone had a spare Roadbook or Pacenotes! Lol! The other really impressive car was the Todd/Tighe Perana, that thing sounded so good going up Stowport Rd (think i have vid). Shame they missed the first stage cos the bloody thing wouldn't start, reckon they would have been up there for sure.
  8. Fkn Shitboxes.............. That is all
  9. Keep an eye on www.classictasmania.com.au we are competing this weekend, hoping for a trouble free run!
  10. It was well known your 32 was an RB30 though RB20 couldn't have gone that quick!
  11. Why would they care when they are no longer fielding a car?
  12. They obviously had a Ford fuel gauge sender in it, they seem to tell you they are empty, yet you have only used 56L out of a 68L tank. lol!
  13. Pressure pack
  14. Yes you should have kept the 32 Benson, Rotories are for homo's. Love you
  15. Yeh then compound that with it being pitch black! A mate of mine did the Nurburgring 24hr many years ago in a Mirage cup car with Donut king, said coming down that really long straight (3km?), check mirrors nothing, check mirrors again faint flicker of light, next thing you know there is a bang of an exhaust, flame and you've just been passed by a BMW M3 GTR and no sooner you can't see their tail lights in the distance! That would be scary lap after lap in the dark with 200 or so other cars racing!
  16. You soft carnt wind the wick up! You wouldn't want to get passed by a Porsche or anything
  17. We haven't had an issue with Hilux's towing, last 2 years used an '05 V6 Petrol 4x4 to tow our rally car around the state and its in the process of being replaced with a '11 Diesel Hilux.. The dual range gearbox comes in quite handy at times too Draw bar, how the trailer is loaded and how the car is loaded is pretty important, I can't understand people that reverse their car on the trailer so all the weight is over the back of the axles and then complain that its handling like shit!!!
  18. Yeh I'm another one for the Velo's our new rally car has Velo Apex seats and they are a very comfy seat! I would rather use standard seats than those horrid sparco sprint's, uncomfortable, too wide, seating position all wrong.. yuck! Oh and they don't have a hole for a 5/6 point harness, you have to cut one yourself and to mee that screams dodgy.. very important!
  19. I think the Kimi method is far better, vodka, coke and hookers. Too cold in finland in the off season for him to venture out much, so no risk of injuring himself.
  20. I thought it sold about 3 years ago to some arab guy or something for about $80k? Woo surely you would remember that conversation?
  21. That was my first thought...
  22. If you like that you would love how easy our 32 GTSt flew past a GT2 up hill a few years back haha
  23. Thats a lie, I spotted a TBSM.com sticker on the rear quarter window
  24. OMG How long does the Targa page take to load!
  25. Gotta be able to match it with YT come Targa Matt...
