  1. Do you think it was a rock from that Monaro that went of? some of them were HUGE! Lol! Lol! Lol! Lol! I had forgotten about that!
  2. Lol! Brisby.... say no more!
  3. Interesting event for us, I flew in tuesday morning expecting to go straight to Buller and recce, but car had issues and wasn't ready. Still wasn't ready wednesday, so I decided to head up the mountain thursday anyway. Got the 'Good' news thursday night the car was ready and on its way up. Recce friday, missed drivers briefing, did did the prologue and all was good. Saturday morning started out well, but mainly getting the pressures right in the tyres. Got to the lunch break and nobody was there! WTF? Ok so after driving round following basic instructions from the CRO's we got there, but 4 minutes over late time. Mr Benson thankfully sorted that out an we were back on our way, but what seemed to be a common occurance i didn't get to eat much of my lunch. 2nd stage after lunch and we had been warned of a car on fire but all ok. So we start the stage, having a fair old dip till this happened. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2I87HwFdrT4 Put the fear of god in us both and gingerly cruised the remainder of the stage in the left hand lane, fearing what else could come along! Next stage on the start line a radiator hose splits and steam pisses out of the engine bay, Seriously could things get much worse? coast through the stage, thankfully some of it was downhill. Got to the end and pulled over. Simon Gillet stopped and gave us a hand and we were back on our way within 5 minutes. but now the 2nd last car on the road Mt Buller was by now pretty ripped up so not the best run in the world up there, but no excuses. Following day started well, drove the 60km transport to the second stage, and we were looking forward to Jamieson. Sitting on the line, 5, 4, 3... Car starts rolling backwards, break pedal on the floor.. OMG! The chances of it happening there and not 2 Km's in! anyway enough was enough, transported through the stage getting passed by atleast 8 cars.. Ghey Thankfully Miedeke Motorsport service crew were at the end and bandaged us up and we limped it back home.. another DNF Thankfully there was a carton of beer in the room when we got back to Buller, I'd had about enough!!!
  4. Over and out see you guys in 2 weeks, Im off to work on my tan for a week on the Gold Coast, at someone elses expense
  5. Clubs make the motorsport happen from grassroots through to V8SC/F1 etc etc
  6. The Gymkhana at the DEC is run by DSA and has nothing to do with CAMS or AASA so expect a fair bit of freedom good track etc.. I suspect it will be using a similar course to the targa stage that was run through there a few years back, but maybe longer? Im pissed its a wed night and likely that im in Melb's anyway
  7. That will be a cracker! Its a state champ round and all the old boys in mg's/mini's etc get quite flustered with wheel spinning turbo cars!!!!
  8. I fly in tuesday morning (Cup day damn it!), staying at the top I think. I actually feel really unorganised, all my gear is still filthy from the gravel season, haven't even looked at notes yet. Wouldn't even know if the car has an engine in it lol!
  9. We only front to reared anyway, so no advantages. Im just excited to use some new roads, and ones ive NEVER seen before!
  10. Obviously havent seen my front bum lately
  11. You reckon? some pretty fast stages where i think GTRs/EMOs will have the legs over us
  12. Yeh he obviously banked her early... anyone thats knows him, think casey has a close resemblance to our own sav_man?
  13. I think thats everyone's wish!
  14. Yeh nice, I hope a set of chains is supplied in the competitors packs!
  15. So Im guessing the PMS 25 has been given the flick since Longhurst and that other bloke aren't in the line up. But what of the Lambo's at the bottom, I hear weeksey is having a tearie cos his car isn't elligible (possible legal case), and whites are happy to do whatever to make theirs elligible?
  16. consider looking at some of the us sites with the dollar being exceptionally good
  17. I Have a Tomtom and run a 3rd party program called TripMaster which is basically like a terratrip where you can have total distance + interval/speed etc. I usually put the GPS coordinates for the start of a stage so we can get a pretty good idea of where we are going from that plus using the roadbook (although use the roadbook as your primary route as GPS may take you the fastest way but you might end up at a road block due to it taking you backwards up a stage! But to be honest I don't really use a terratrip during an event as get a fairly good idea where your going during recce, its there and rolling over/being zero'd but i don't rely on it. In stage i zero it at the start, but rarely look at it during the stage, unless i get asked how far to go, or mark a car off etc Wouldn't stress too much if you get lost, plenty of time to get to stages. stop and wait for the next competitor and follow them. Lol!
  18. did you consider mounting the passenger side rail further back?
  19. That manifold actually looks quite good compared to some of them ive seen. Haven't seen you in a while Damo, I'll have to come check out some of your handy work.
  20. Nice, im curious though, why you mount the the surge tank at the back of the car? just thinking in the event you backed it in would be about the first thing to go.. Not sayin you would back it it or anything...
  21. If Charlie Cox gets the gig 2 things will happen... I'll never watch F1 again; or ill be looking for a stream in a different language. I can't stand that tossa
  22. Once its on, its never coming off huh!
  23. Interested to know what issues you had with the RadCam?
