Fantastic you've got the bug Nick, we could do with some more cars in Early Modern! Definately wait until the new regs come out before you do anything drastic, interpretation of the rules/regs is key to making the best use of them and if your unsure of anything Stu the Technical Director will be more than happy to advise. Regarding tyres a wise man once said pick your tyres to finish as if it were a 100% dry event, you don't want to get to day 5 with bald tyres and it being completely wet. This year we got 2 spares which could be put on for the 4th/5th day for 2wd and 5th leg for 4wd. but it could be different for future events. My advice as a co-driver is find a navigator early and as a priority, spend time with them to understand it and driving together. If you leave it to the last minute and it will ruin your event.

Webber's crash reminds me of Christian Fittipaldi's... except he still finished Fantastic driving by Koboyashi too, some of the only real passing we have seen this year!

I am actually disappointed im not going to Southern Mountains anymore this year. AMSAG events look like alot of fun. Would love to know a bit more about this car, IE how you go for suspension travel etc My team mate wants to upgrade to an EVO but I think something like this would be more fun and cheaper.

And in other news PAR are rebuilding our Sprinter's dogbox and changing the ratio's for 1st/2nd/3rd to be more appropriate. The bad news from this is it has put back our development and testing on the car a few months so we won't be going to the Southern Mountains rally at Eden in July

First run, Russ/Sarah, Woo/Me and Coop/Wade all did 4:20's thinking there wouldn't be much more in it, maybe a second or two would be fast. Second run up the hill Russ/Sarah did a 4:11, Woo/Me did 4:10 and Coop/Wade did 4:16. 3rd run was fastest with Newmans and Team Wooster doing 4:09's

Pretty much the most excited ive been all year! That temperature makes me quite happy and maybe ill deliberately miss my flight and stay forever! today we had a low of 0 and a high of 11 degrees. its currently 8 degrees. Also looking hella forward to getting back into black betty, with one of the most talented drivers in the country. and catching up with great friends Russ and Sarah!

We are still really dissapointed that our 'NEW' gearbox let us down, but on the positive side it looks like it was the original selector forks have broken/bent so all is not lost, note to self if ther eis an option for billet selector forks, do it!. I had a camera in the car (thanks to Benson Motorsport), so I might try put some later.

Had one, didn't really rate it at all.. its basically just the handcontroller in a different box/layout with some lights. Its only compatible with Microtech too BTW.

Albins do an RB20 box for about $5.5k PAR do for $4.6K +gst (about $5K) dunno about Albins, but PAR give you a bunch of options. Marcus just put a PAR 1st~5th Dog set in the sprinter and im quite amazed, Good value for money.

Look elsewhere, you can get RB20 syncro sets from ~$3400 and dog set for about $5000
