  1. Yeh, well you would short list them all pretty much.. Might put Benson and Perry in charge of hiring when we get new staff from now on. They weren't allowed out in public till they knew you were safely on a plane home, but surely you got your fair share while you were down Monday night thats where it all happens... mind you the bar was a bit quieter monday, could have been hangovers... or that Big John's speech sent them all to sleep!
  2. I have a question Stu.... Can I have the Canadian chicks number???? Lol!
  3. Generally not Roy, majority of Tarmac competitors are fairly cashed up dudes. The old Navigator pays the entry is an old school train of though and really in my eyes its the driver COMPETING and a good navigator is just part of their preparation. In fact I know of quite a few navigators at targa (in top level teams) that are actually paid! In your smaller state level events where guys are struggling just to get their car to the start line there is a little unwritten law that the nav pays the entry fee, but your talking about a $250 entry as opposed to a $7,000 entry. Even then I don't know of many in our series that still do this.
  4. I'll upload some video's as soon as I figure out how to upload them to the 'tube. Do you have to compress them or anything before uploading?
  5. Thanks guys, it gave me a real warm fuzzy feeling all the facebook/sms/verbal support we received.
  6. You guys are definately Ambassadors for this sport. Tim, Car #736.
  7. I was so drunk sunday night, I got black flagged at the bar and then couldn't remember the address of where I was staying lol. Somehow managed to back it up last night too, and got another black flag (refused service), but i might just look into Wrest Point's responsible serving of alcohol policy, I couldn't keep track of how much i'd had since they topped my glass up everytime they walked past (and considering how long Big John's speech went for we were in that room for a LONG time), but when it was asked could they just put the bottle on the table the answer was no... I really don't want to go to work tomorrow (or ever in this current state of PTB).
  8. Well finally back home after a LONG week. Interesting outcome in the end, not making any comments on anything because shit happens and always will. Had an absolute ball, even if we did DNF, won't know exact cause of the problem till it gets stripped down, but looking to maybe have been bad fuel Great to catch up with so many of you again and also meet some new faces. HIGH POINTs: Fastest Car Outright over Queenstown, Cethana in the Wet, ABS LOW POINTs: DNF'ing, Glenney/Ayers incident. Bring back Thoroughbred Category for all the Sports Sedans.
  9. Whats hard about chasing up Bill? You call and order the tyres, they ring when they are in stock, go down and get them fitted, pay $$$ = Profit! plus 1 sec / km What does Coop run on the A9X?
  10. I bet Blue Gum are wrapped! They aren't the Official event Apparel supplier anymore! It is now The Targa Shop, which co-incidentally is our MAJOR sponsor this year!
  11. Gold Gold Gold! That picture is supposed to have a copywrite to the Birubi Art R32 so don't know how its managed to sneek in there!
  12. Oh and the Targa weather has arrived, early morning fog, cool with a fair bit of dew...
  13. Well better late than never! http://targa.com.au/Competitors/profile.ph...0Early%20Modern Oh and Snowy, I'd kinda feel robbed doing the Tour in something like that. but atleast your guranteed a trophy at the end... if you finish!
  14. The excitment is killing me, but one more day of work left... Cars are starting to roll into Lonnie as are the ppl Whos the hot tip for The Tour? Lol!
  15. Im looking forward to seeing how these two guys go in Rookie, a couple of locals who compete in our state series. I don't know that they will be on top come thursday night, but considering their age (both only about 20) and budget, I could have only dreamed to be doing something like that at their age. http://targa.com.au/Competitors/profile.ph...ye%20-%20Modern So what are the tips for placings? Tony Warren for Showroom? Jimmy for Outright? Peter Eames for Classic?
  16. Did you try Toll Shipping? and fly into burnie? Its funny, we put our entry in over a week ago and still not up there. Strahan, lol! there is zip, I musta made like 100 calls.

  19. Moved on? Never! Just a broad minded person! Im sure Snowy will have some excuse if we beat him...
  20. Team Last Minute FTMFW! Our car was finished off on saturday, its back to the original 944 Big Block after the 968 disaster last year. Signwriter today, dyno tomorrow then on the boat later in the week.
  21. Saturday probably won't be much good for us, full day of recce then final prep on the car as we are scrutineered at 8:20am Sunday morning.. Booooooo The full day recce sunday, so maybe if we're not dead sunday we'll be at the welcome party.
  22. True, but atleast this ones engine is in the front!
  23. Ooh whoops that wasn't aimed at you, you do have a legitimate excuse Excuses, excuses... your really terrified of getting beaten by this http://targatasmania.com.au/Competitors/pr...0Early%20Modern Funny how hardly any of these WA blokes come east for events, but then again anything goes in WA if your from there
  24. Hey snowy, hands up whos not doing targa?
  25. I heard Glenney is concerned it won't make the distance over Arrowsmith. I wonder how many cars we will find run out of fuel toward the end of the stage this year? Only person I know who isn't worried is Barry Oliver, he was quite comfortable the new GT3 RS would get through fine since its the same capacity tank as the GT2, but more economical.
