And I really don't think queenstown is an option since, we most likely won't have a car down there and the road closes at 6:58am queenstown end

Thanks guys, was a major last minute decision, but will be a good one hopefully. Haven't discussed service crew arrangements with Gav yet, but Ben are you and Damo servicing this year? Wouldn't be asking you to put yourselves out and service for us, but maybe help us with a splash of fuel?

Hey if your on a budget there is a nature reserve just behind the Silverdome. All you need is a tent, you can use the shower facilities inside the Silverdome and dine out at the Cafeteria (fish and chip shop down the road if your leading your class). Damn I could write a tightarse's guide to Targa!!

Im betting Steve has upgrade to an RB20 after we spanked him on Sheffield last year.

Well Im doing Targa now woo yeh! Except I'll be one of the first cars on the road every day and not appear in the results... Navving for a bloke in the Zero Car, its a Mazda 6 Sport Diesel being supplied by Mazda for the event. Should be a bit of fun, no pressure and still get a buzz and importantly it will get me back on notes in preparation for Mt. Stuart Sprint with Benny in June. It has been 12 months since I looked at pace notes and I pulled some out the other day and began scratching my head. What tha fudge does that mean Oh and I didn't want to go off topic in the the other thread about Serge's R34, but am I right in saying that E85 will be compulsary from 2011??? Im sure I read it somewhere... If it were the case with Arrowsmith maybe they could put a pitstop in half way and make it F1 style (IE you can win it or lose it in the pits Lol!)

I navved for Benny (Marlin) in it at Targa Tas in 2008, and prior to that I used to drool over it in the hands of Jason White. Im sure Racepace has done an awesome job with it and I look forward to seeing it in action, you will have to bring it down here eventually.

Ive missed this car, will be great seeing it out in competition once again.

No chicanes at all from what ive heard, ive got reservations on this idea though, not everyone that enters is a seasoned racer/professional etc We'll see after this event if they actually have any impact or not from a safety aspect. I feel they might have added a bit of a buffer for the less competent.

My dad's got a pretty rad welder that can do just about anything, stainless, alloy etc. It a big industrial one (about a metre tall) he bought from a shipbuilder that went bust. Ive never used it though cos i was a shit welder in high school. It can do the most delicate of welds right through to to fattest bits of BHP's finest

Im sure your all up on it, but this is what i think of when the name Adam Newton and wet are added together. Its amazing how much that car has changed, they day after that footage I won a comp to go for an extreme ride with him arround symmons plains, and then only a hand full of laps later he ripped the rear quarter off it on the pit exit armco!

So it should last about 10 years with plenty of 8,000rpm launches and flat changing every gear then

You don't want them seeing under the bonnet benny, they might get a bit confused! IE Where does all the goodness come from when it looks so stock... I'd say it all comes from the cabin though But if you did send it down id be more than happy to keep the cobwebs off it

Nah its only fun when your running in/tuning/finishing off interior on the drive to scrutineering!!!! But yeh good plan!
