  1. Wow thats an antique setup there!
  2. Hmm i think the key is more to eat properly for these events and digest it all properly. IE chew the f**k out of it. Have breakfast early to give yourself time to digest before jumping in the car. i think most ppls problem is they have brekfast and then get in n drive. I don't normally drink milk or anything (was lactose intolerant as a child), but this year ive been having Up and Go's to start the day and maybe a bit of toast, and of course my friend COFFEE! Next most important thing to do is keep yourself hydrated. I think this year made a huge difference for benny and I, by having energy drinks and lots of water. attention span lasted longer, felt fuller for longer and didn't really have any signs of fatigue set in. Oh and if all else fails take a Quells atleast half hour before getting in the car and then another at lunch time
  3. No daniel can't nav for shit lol! get him in the driver seat though... I party with anyone Jess, I just like sleeping in my own bed at the end of the night!
  4. You would not have got any hot tips from me if i came out! Usually too cooked!
  5. Only person that can win it, the one with all the money!
  6. Ross is on this forum, if you want to know more about it can't remember his username off top of my head
  7. Yeh im quite certain since the regs state the housing must be original, hence you can't use a 33 box.
  8. I appreciate your kind words benny, and will reply to your emails asap, been flat chat last few days! But i do agree, ive done plenty of 1/2 day events and they are really just "fun" the first two days are usually only a build up and figure out what pace you are going to set for the event, and the fact that so many ppl a tthese events turn up with 5 sets of softs so they can blaze it up for a few short stints. Targa is physically and mentally demanding. the lead up preparation, the final calls, recce and into the event. i think it takes a good relationship to see it through seriously. What other sport/event do you spend 6+ days in close confines with one other person? I know there is a long list of people I would NOT want to have in that situation! but Benny is one of the few i can work through the event with even in those moments of pressure!
  9. Lol! Old Lambo's and Fez's are over rated, you would be better off with a well set up falcon/commie/torrie if cubes float your boat.
  10. So ive been having wild ideas of building a classic car... Ive also noticed that ABS can only be used on vehicles that have an ABS system fitted by the manufacturer when new. So what about all the classics that have had it retro fitted?
  11. Just talk to K. Luck about putting fancy stuff on your gts, more problems and goes slower... keep it simple and keep it clean...
  12. Are you kidding? do you think i just jump into bed with anyone? (well thats a bad analogy, cos i do). Grassroots rallying is where its at ATM, Last round of the Tassie Series this w/end, 30 entries (thats a big field for tassie), 140km competitive, $285 entry fee. Keep an eye out as a believe later in the year there will be a series wrap up on OneHD (Will Confirm).
  13. Hey flamin mongrel im up for a Gold Trophy, Id be EMO'd if i didn't get it... lol! Seriously though, I dunno what to do... can't afford to keep doing it ourselves though
  14. u obviously never seen stick man ben then?
  15. Crashed was an understatement, why would you push that hard on the last lap when he had no hope of catching button. "oh i was going to catch button and use my KERS to get past him on the finish line, just like in the movies" Also why wasn't he classified as DNF?
  16. Jenna has her work cut out, two cars???
  17. You don't think the Euro trash will be a bit on the heavy side snowman?
  18. Oh I thought you were building a toy for me to drive while im up there
  19. My interpretation of that is, you can run a strut insert in the original strut body using the original spring perch, using a spring (with with free spring rates) of the original diameter. So no coilovers in my opinion.
  20. Now thats the sort of cage I would be happy with!
  21. No ben i struck this problem when I did the 5 stud on mine, some one inadvertantly sold me GTR hubs instead of GTSt and the difference is physically visiable not to mention 28 as opposed to 32 spline shafts. I don't believe without spending $$$ you could combine the two driveshafts either (thought about it). I have a pair of GTR alloy hubs if anyone is interested
  22. Nah damo they can knock all night! 5 days straight and then have a bender b4 finishing up!!! (hopefully benny will understand that one!)
  23. The Axles are f**kING heavy compared to std, I know had to carry some on the spirit of tasmania once! Think the pickup points on the hubs are slightly different to i think have a pic someone where? ive got a pair of the alloy hubs sitting here at home. Pretty sure the ABS sensor is on the snout of the diff not the hub too.. sif you would want to change that BANGER of a diff!!!!
  24. Oh yes i do remember now, the Stilo amp was mounted on it, shame that design has been banned
