I got there about 8:30am on saturday morning and the R35, a GTP and the Cayenne Medical car were doing laps, man the 35 was impressive!!! GTP was nothing special (had 5 people in the car) but the Cayenne OMG! braking deep into the hairpin and by christ it was fast out! Yeh definately most enjoyable class!!! Funnily enough his uncle races speedway!

Hmm there was an article in the local paper today saying this: V8 SUPERCARS Australia has denied there are concerns about safety at Symmons Plains. The organisers of this weekend's V8 Supercar round said they were satisfied with the track... (thats as miuch as they give you online, without paying)

Watched a fair bit of the live coverage on the web, didn't see his car once. It was a Manthey Racing Porsche and Audi R8 affair as far as they were concerned! German commentary wasn't very helpful, but I did catch them talking briefly about the Commodore from Australia, which I don't think was having much luck as they DNF. There was English commentary on radiolemans.com, but it was always a different event they were covering when i had that on. Yeh he has been multiple National and State F2 Rally champ in years gone by. Nahh went back to Mt Black and Rosebery, I reckon there would have been major carnage this year had they been run was wet as over the west coast.

Yeh that was a bit off putting, cos then you accelerate back up and over shoot the corner onto the bridge a bit.

Most of the people that oppose it: A. Have no idea what it is (a gentleman at windermere opposing it thought it was a road bike race) B. Don't drive a car (The greeny councillor from hobart last year) C. Are against anything and everything D. Don't understand the economic benefit to the state E. Don't realise its a skilled challenge and not a hoon fest.

Umm the R34 has been surpassed, it is after all over 10 years old. With the level of competition these days they would have no hope. The best place 34 wasn't even in the top 20 I don't think? Oh and of the 3 genuine N1's in Australia there is probably only 2. Peter Moores was pretty fuct up on saturday. YT told me they were getting it from Fern Tree and expected delivery late May?

Finished our recce, what an adventure! treatourous rain, fog, rain, wind, did i mention rain? oh and recce in the dark is no fun! Our recce car got a flat 3/4 through strahan and we were stranded cos it had no jack, wheel brace or wheel key. Yay! Ill give everyone a tip ive changed some of my notes to say f**kING SLIPPERY!!!! (no joke!)

Yeh its actually not listed in the guide to the event, but its on and there are signs in the shop windows in george st so it must be! lol! f**king cold! haha But seriously its been a bit fresh in the mornings, but we are still having alot of 20 degree days.

So im too POV to buy a Stilo Helmet, instead I paid $120 for a universal item. Now im kinda stuck, im not sure how to install it or more where to install it. You see it needs holes drilled to mount and although I can get someone experienced and reliable to do the drilling, they just wanna know where. This is the item in question and my helmet If anyone has done this before or has a pic of theirs atleast would help (Alot!). Ive pulled my helmet to pieces and just can't see anywhere useful to mount it! Cheers Tim,

The sideling is tops, just spent some time last night going over it and the notes (TV spec). On the camera thing im planning on using the POV for a forward view (dash in view) and the GoPro for a view back onto the crew or stick it outside somewhere.
