  1. Yep well when we get a gauge on numbers ill book something, anyone got any special dietary requirements?? STIFF!!! On a better note got my stimulus today so we won't be running on retreads now!
  2. I like presents Im not so much nervous, more anxious only cos i need time in the seat to flush some of this adrenalin through. Recce and prologue should fix that. If not a few bravery gravy's should! SO are we going to try and have a big SAU meet up one night, I don't know what everyones recce plans are but maybe we could grab a bite to eat/drink one night?
  3. Hi Wayne, Go see Pete Lockett at FuelTech Automotive in Launceston (well kingsmeadows).
  4. I am not sure about Dutton, but Targa you can get temporary rego and you run on targa plates so long as it passes scrutiny. As for hillclimbs temporary rego if you want to drive it to the event, or just trailer it out. These events are all on closed roads so you do not have to comply with road rego.
  5. Dunno how you do it! should come down a week early and jump in with one of us. I remember in 07 doing the east coast (day 2) without recce, was surprisingly good (and fast) when we weren't broken down I am ready to eat, sleep and breathe pace notes
  6. T-Minus 7 days to recce, would love to be out checking stages right now. just can't
  7. I don't know if its as easy as cutting the buds off and putting them in place of the speakers ben? What sort of helmet do you have?
  8. Ive sat in a fair list of different seats I would say the worst was a Cobra Monaco and the best was by far Cobra Evolution S Ive been quite disappointed by alot of Bride seats just not offering much padding or girth (and im by no means a big person) plus their bolt in rails are rubbish. Sparco Pro 2000 is another good seat thats doesn't have wings. but then I prefer the Cobra Suzuka S over that.
  9. I blame it all on WWII, family would have never moved out here and I would have been born in the fatherland. probably would have been lapping the ring since i was 8 years old... a model citizen!
  10. Lol! the number of people that say they are going to enter and the number that actually do is far from equal. I hear all the time people say yep im gonna enter my *insert crappy daily* next year. I lol! and give up on explaining the costs, eligibility requirements etc but seriously you cant just enter, you apply and if you meet the selection criteria you are invited to compete.
  11. The 34 N1(<-Pic) Marlin and I took in targa last year has I believe a Mitsubishi magna 4 channel ABS system. I don't know anymore than that though.
  12. Hmm well i put an industrial gauge on it over the weekend, when cold its sitting around 80psi, but once warm its sitting at about 15-20psi. Im going to see an oil specialist and see if changing grades might help just for cold starts (cold morning today and it was blowing smoke a fair bit), but once warm wasn't. Im also thinking maybe its rich at cold start and idle since ive changed a few things in my fuel system (rewired fuel pump etc), so once i change oil's im gonna get the tune looked at, as on boost its fine.
  13. Well just a note to everyone, pack your winter woolies, slippers, thermal undies etc Cos winter is here! f**king freezing this morning! (water temp was 6 deg at 8am!)
  14. Mate we get robbed down here, no One for the forseeable future... Yeh i found that but we'll see how it goes.
  15. anyone know where to find a live stream of tonights race, stuff waiting up till 11pm to watch it.
  16. Fair enough, luckily I just got one of those time books in the mail today it was just going to be for comparison purposes, now it will serve a purpose! Tell me about it, sitting at a desk all day long just doesn't allow time to pass quick enough! Thank god easter is the week before our recce so a short week.
  17. Don't worry I'll shout you a meal or 10, still be paying you back for last year!
  18. Why don't you want to service for kerry? don't know enough about the VW? CBF? all of the above? Should look after savman if he doesn't already have anyone.
  19. What are peoples thoughts on not having time cards this year (allegedly). The go is they will have a white board at the stop point where your car number and finish time will be written. however, i don't believe whiteboards and markers work all that well in the wet? I don't like the idea of not having a physical time written.
  20. With great reluctance I am putting my brand new Bride Vios III Sport seat up for sale. Its been trial fitted to my car, but taken back out for a rego inspection. The rail is a Lowmax item and in good condition. I am asking $1,000 firm for both items and will not separate. your basically getting the rail free anyway. Pictures available on request. Item is located in Launceston Tasmania Prefer Tasmanian sale, but if your serious will work out interstate freight at your expense. Regards Tim,
  21. So snowy, been back for your 2,000km inspection yet? lol! surely your living in that thing! I would!
  22. Well im borrowing a mechanical gauge on the weekend to check (old man isn't convinced and thinks maybe the gauge is playing up), but when I got it home from an AIS check at idle it was sitting at 1 kg/cm2 (15psi) which is about normal... weird. anyway its just not right still and im not risking doing any damage, but seriously CBF taking the engine out AGAIN
  23. You said on nissansilvia/hardtuned that you had moved down and were his cousin (he had mentioned you before I think?)
  24. I am surprised he doesn't have a nav already!
  25. yes I know Nathan, have known him (and his antics) for a long time And the bonus being my name got spelt right, doesn't happen too often!
