  1. Awesome news, so is this a new model we are going to see in the showrooms? its really what mazda needs if thats the case! This year is getting bigger and better!
  2. Yeh not so much you, cos we have a good chin wag on the stages. But I know when someone isn't listening (eg RT 2009) and I was watching my DVD of Brock/Gigney and he is regularly asking 'whats this one?'
  3. Will be sad to see you out Greg, but I wanna hear some of these in the bush in the unlikely event you don't make it to the grid! Ive been looking over the samples ive got of 1-10 and I really do prefer them, but will see how we go come recce. I also prefer the Degree first then the direction (IE 5R as opposed to R5). I feel that the driver (not singling out benny here, but every video ive seen and every driver ive been with), listens to the first part of the call more than the second part, whereas if they here the degree first and they can see the corner they don't necissarily need to ask what it was again. Ill open this up to discussion though cos I believe it only helps everyone!
  4. So thats why you want me, not for my skills but my 'looks'?? haha! Speaking of PWR, got that radiator yet?
  5. Did you get accomodation sorted Snowy?
  6. Yeh Rally Tas last year I think they did
  7. AASA........ What scrutineering?
  8. Yeh but they weren't quick anyway... no one looks if your not winning!
  9. That looks like so much fun!
  10. Snowy we ran Medium 03G's back in the Rookie 2007 on an S15, came up to temp really good and the only issue I can think of was right towards the end of the sideling it got a bit taily (im trying to think though was it tyres going off or that the road had started to break up). They still had heaps of tread left on them at the finish as they survived a Circuit Series round after that and a god almighty skid and ringies before it got sold. Having said all that I just noticed Dunlop don't make a 265/18 in medium so scrap that, only make a H and an R comp (the SR that is being referred to by some). If
  11. I had the live results and commentary running all day which was pretty good, nfi who the commentators were but they were better than the usual Channel 7 ones.
  12. Very nice benny, but please avoid cutting off any limbs you may need
  13. Thats my Mate Matt Stringer from down here, didn't even know he was running!
  14. I think it all depends on what you use it for, if your only going to do club days and wear a lap/sash belt get a Fullface. If your looking at doing more full on stuff where your spending longer periods of time in the car, wearing a harness consider an open face. I feel so much more comfortable in an open face i don't think I could possibly wear a full face again. Don't buy the cheapest available, there is a reason why they are cheap! Most good helmets start about $6-700, but you may find sales where they can be had for more like $500.
  15. Well im entered (as co-driver) for Targa again this year, was looking to do TRS but scotty is sookin about not doing the two northern rounds and I want to win trophy's (not come second). Now that I have a bit of confidence and knowledge ill be lookin for a few gigs at Targa West, Buller, Classic Adelaide and Rally Burnie. Unfortuately that means not much time for anything else so I reckon Ill sell my car and buy a decent daily.
  16. Such a shame there is NO coverage of this on tv this weekend (or is it that im blind?)
  17. Far out thats a better price than I just got them for!!!!
  18. Hey Kel I just noticed your going to be very busy for Targa, Navving in two cars! haha!
  19. Spotted a fairly munted 32 GTR on the back of a tow truck at gowrie park on sunday, driver side door and A pillar looked like it had made contact with a rather large tree or pole or something. Was wrecking for parts but nothing really worth taking I didn't think?
  20. Yeh how rediculous was it that they continued the stage even after that mazda crashed in a big way and was taking up 3/4 of the road. And the fact that the crew were standing on the outside of a corner carrying on like headless chickens it was enough to startle you! I can definately say my weekend was probably one of the more interesting ones, I learn't ALOT over the weekend and met ALOT of great people. Kel your a champ! and a caring one at that! It was a worthwhile experience and I think I taught my driver alot in the three days, so hopefully it helps him in further rallies. It felt a bit weird being the master as opposed to the apprentice. Im looking more and more forward to Targa and futher rallies this year and hopefully some good news!
  21. Yeh no worries Kel, I know the roads ok enough to not get TOO lost. If i could get my hands on a MONIT im pretty sure they plug into the diagnostic port of an EVO. but anyway beggers can't be choosers. Just need Tony buy another Donut King car ay! so I can get back in a pink silly seat and have drongo's asking "wheres my donuts?" (do you get that?) Ill talk to you about notes when you get down here, im interested to see what others are running and how they find them, looking for a bit of a change for TT this year. But on the un recce'd stages, previously I found the driver more reliant on the notes and ended up being quicker overall.. not that i would recommend it!
  22. Have you got fatter damo?
  23. I think its more like 100g
