  1. Im thinking about one (a tomtom) for transport stages, but i don't even use a terratrip in stage unless its to report a car off but even then id have to resort to the notes for actual position as every terratrip ive used in stage has always been inaccurate by a massive margin. Im a bit worried about Rally Tas as Hurf that im running with doesn't even have a terratrip! and i haven't been able to organise something in the short term.
  2. I might wait and see what theses Tarmac mag sponsorship discounts are like and if i have any money left after all the bills for targa maybe i will. need a sponsor badly!!! Rally Tas wise... hmm ive looked at the course on paper and google earth and thats about it. Heading down Tuesday night for a couple days recce. if it doesn't rain and its not 37 degrees like it was in 07 ill be happy. No doubt ill see you at the welcome party thurs night.
  3. Good move kel, will be great to know how you go with it after a weekend of use. Its on my list of things to buy at the moment... just unfortunately at the bottom
  4. Well if ben didn't get a loaner POV1, I would probably be doing the same. I reckon if you buy the good camera you will get some good results.
  5. Before you go and spend in bulk have a look at these Sandisk V-Mate (~$80 ebay) Sony 1/3 ccd camera (~$90 ebay) SD card of your choice Cables and DC convertor have a look here http://www.bmsc.com.au/forums/rallying-tec...ing-system.html Its a bit diy, but can save a wad of cash
  6. These items use a hard disk to recorder to. The first bump you hit the drive corrupts and requires a format. using solid state memory such as CF and SD cards (which have no moving parts) overcomes this.
  7. Needs to be renamed ARPC (Australian Rally Privateers Cup). im almost not sure why you would even bother, probably alot more going on at state level rallies.
  8. Yeh after a few airborne moments you start thinkin' heck this is actually fun... occasionally you might still wanna grab onto the seat though haha All you need then is a bit of sky/ground rollover action and you've done a bit of everything! You guys will love the REAL Targa though, heaps better roads up this end
  9. Few write off's then Kel? We all thought the attrition rate last year was bad, but this owned that in 2 days!
  10. I found some other pics from another forum (damn internet) Its done a bit of damage, ripped an oil cooler off and undertray, and pushed one of the guards in. But this is interesting Road has started to lift
  11. Check this list for CAMS requirements http://www.camsmanual.com.au/pdf/10_gen_re...e_D_Q109_r1.pdf
  12. Kel and Pete had an off 6km's into SS13 - All ok. Bugger Kel you guys were going so well!
  13. Just saw that Snowy and James are out with mechanical problem before the start of the first stage today. *edit* sav_man beat me to the punch *edit*
  14. Thats a real shame Andrew, but glad you guys are ok. Game on again tomorrow! And well done Kel!!! some ripper times you and pete are doing!
  15. Yeh a bit concerned about that!!!! Let us know Snowy!
  16. Well she's seeming like a mixed bag at the moment. SS2 was down graded due to a number of accidents, no results yet for SS3 or SS4. SS5, SS6 and SS7 were cancelled due to running behind time. Issues with the computer system not spitting any stage times out ATM.
  17. Yay I can afford to eat now!!!
  18. Yeh I think a GPS is the go (well the way we do recce), might have to lash out on one before TT, benny gets cranky when we are running on fumes and im not sure where we are going Mind you rally tas is gonna be interesting without a terra trip or anything (unless I can borrow one!) I am up in arms over the fuel issue, it seems whenever there is a rally on there is none. yet about 3 weeks ago I went to BP and they only had Ultimate? I question the grade of it also, maybe it wouldn't hurt to buy it by the 205 drums? PS Andrew is Devonport (you make it sound more bogan than it already is haha!)
  19. Always driving someone elses car stuart!

  21. I wanna be a kid again, everythings so much cooler now!
  22. Global credit crunch takes another victim... http://www.rallysportmag.com.au/home/index...06&Itemid=2
  23. Waiting on a brake seal kit and a clutch line to get my car regoed. Something else is bound to go wrong as everything that could go wrong has gone wrong, but its practically a new car now as ive replaced nearly every nut and bolt in it!
  24. check the earth on the ignitor then, the wire may have become brittle and broken, happened to mine also.
  25. Highly unlikely, but I had an issue with mine recently where the green wire for the fuel pump relay wasn't working, I ended up wiring the relay straight to earth, till I can either get it fixed or find a better solution.
