Injectors - How To Remove/replace/upgrade
PHaT MR30 replied to MearCat's topic in Tutorials / DIY / FAQ
A bit of advice for anyone out there doing this. I made a tool to remove the injectors myself, a pair of pointy nose pliers from bunnings, heated the ends up and bent them facing towards each other. Worked a treat, but its still a task getting them out. o-rings are majorly important to check and replace, a hairline can cause disasters later (discussed below). Fitted some 555 Nismo's to a mates car (well he did), fired the engine and the thing only ran on 5 cylinders, a few tests later and nearly hydraulic lock his engine! Turned out the small o-ring on number 2 injector had a tiny crack in it and fuel was gushing out from there! Put a new o-ring on and fired it up and she was fine. -

PHaT MR30 replied to hrd-hr30's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
Or plug your phone in and put it into mass storage device mode, copy the file across and then install it from the phone. The analysis stuff is really good too -
No because that will make me sad

Free Gps Lap Time Software For Phones
PHaT MR30 replied to hrd-hr30's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
I hope you didn't purely buy a 6110 for this software Duncan, as at this stage they don't support the internal GPS receiver. Its probably better anyway to have an external receiver mounted on the glass anyway. I reckon this wouldn't be a bad way to time in tarmac rallies for your own reference (better than a stop watch in your hand that you can easily bump, or forget about -

Removing Bung (welsh Plug) From Rb25 Oil Filter Bracket
PHaT MR30 replied to PHaT MR30's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I would use a sandwich plate, however because of my oil cooler and remote filter setup, leaves bugger all room and probably wouldn't clear the engine mount then. -
Removing Bung (welsh Plug) From Rb25 Oil Filter Bracket
PHaT MR30 replied to PHaT MR30's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
oil pressure is on the other side, and im already using that -
As I slowly put my motor back together ive been wondering where to put the sensor for my oil temp guage and I noticed on the oil filter bracket a place where you could possibly put another sensor. however it has a bung in it and im not sure how to remove it. I have a spare one here I can hack into, but i thought maybe someone else has done this already. Looking from the inside there is a gallery leading up to this bung, so anything is possible. I am hoping that if i can remove it it will either have: 1. nothing behind it and I can tap a thread into it or 2. nothing behind it and already has a thread tapped couldn't take any pics as I didn't have a camera with me when I discovered this so i did a screen shot from Nissan FAST for reference. Note the bung is part code 00933-1141A Cheers Tim,

Injectors - How To Remove/replace/upgrade
PHaT MR30 replied to MearCat's topic in Tutorials / DIY / FAQ
Do you have to remove the injectors to replace the pintle caps? And does anyone know the part number for new pintle caps? I have been scouring FAST but it doesn't seem to list them -
I am chasing the small tube that bolts to the bottom of an RB25 inlet manifold, I sold mine off with my GReddy Plenum earlier this year and didn't even think much of it till now. If you can supply the bolts its even better, surely these aren't worth much don't really wanna buy one new from Nissan. PM or email [email protected] Cheers Tim,

Hey all i am after a R32 GTS-4 rear diff, can be the whole thing, the guts (diff centre, crownwheel output shafts etc) or just the diff centre and output shafts. If anyones got one im keen to look at anything Cheers Tim

Hmm so the fact that membership for HSCC has doubled since drifting took off and that MSCT are about to come on board (and result in membership increase), Is not an indicator for a GROWTH in the sport, I don't know what is! Will be sad if its banned, I will actually have to reconsider that job offer in SA.. mmm Mallala... Yum!
-
If these are those copy ones, are you cleaning out the insides of them? from reports form other members on here there is alot of slag on the inside of them that needs to be ground off (casting defects), other than that they are ok though i think.
-
Damn you never told me that! In my whole life i have only turned about 10 laps around basky and that was poo cos there was Hawk pads in the rear and std's up front, no ABS and poey Yoki's... very tail happy under brakes throw into that i had never driven the car b4

Like i said scotty, think of it as a USB system in your car, and each device is encoded and you don't know how to crack the code to edit/use it. sorry for my terrible explaination

Tony Alford bought one of them too smart for their own good things, sits in his garage useless (it's like a bad case of "Computer Says No").. Waiting on the new GTR now!

Yeh be keen to know for next year, searched High and low for a Nismo catalog today with not much luck (except for one that bidding had closed on ebay lol!). As for the Telecast I look forward to it, thought the Targa Torque program was quite funny, tho i think it featured a bit too much of Dunkerton... but meh any publicity for the best event is good i guess.

Is there anything at all for S15's in the nismo catalog?

Maybe jump back in the Ute for Burnie. While im here can anyone explain to me why you can run 18s on a 32 GTR?
