  4. dude have some common sense, you could spend endless amounts of dollars on a rebuild, its not gonna make it much, if any quicker.. your engine was probably fuct b4. lighter car, lighter smaller engine... less pistons too turn over, less inertia... consider this, they are the same ruff capacity (.2 woohoo) the bore and stroke of the FJ20 is going to be far closer to square, it can rev all day, it has a physically bigger turbo, and they are tuffaz nuts. and thats comming from someone who owns an RB engine. do yourself a favour either buy a bigger turbo and get a dyno tune, buy a turbo bluebird.. OR STFU!!!!!

  6. umm although you have a a catch can you need to have something which catches overflow, (Ben your catch can from embleton still has an overflow), what most ppl do is take the overflow pipe and a 600ml coke bottle and drill a hole in the lid jam the pipe in there and stickytape it there. simple! oh and its an ANDRA licence i think you need, you get that on the day for about $10. dont brake the stagea!!!

  8. Yeh i am after a Launch Control system also, i found one in an old Zoom mag (issue 53) but on contacting Advan Performance centre they no longer sell them. BUT! have a look in the september issue of Hot4s (no i don't 'normally' buy it mates car was featured in it) and in the autobarn advert they had a kit which started at $199 for a similar brand. Need to do a bit more research and go chat to my mate at autobarn, but i can let you know.
  9. Oh i just did this over the weekend, turned out ok, but i am not sure what the factory specification is for it. Here are my results: #1 - 140 psi #2 - 150 psi #3 - 140 psi #4 - 130 psi #5 - 140 psi #6 - 140 psi this is only rough figure i am guessing as it was only a cheap Hella Compression tester that i borrowed off a mate and he said he dunno how accuarate it is, main this is that there was no major drop across the board.

  11. Is there any point in even having the AAC valve on my car seeing as though i run a microtech and and its not connected up. i am just trying to figure out what i can rip off my engine while its out that is of no use to me or a power robber.
  12. Paul, you are gonna need a decent 'tunable computer' like what wogboy got, remember the Mines isn't programmable, best they will be able to do is adjust the timing and boost i guess.. an O2 sensor wouldn't hurt either buddy!

  14. Do the GT30's fit to the std manifold? don't think that has been covered yet? and are they only externally wastegated in the .63 housing? what sort of price can they be had for?

Yeh again well done Matt, I was there earlier in the day when you had a few problems, but had to leave and didn't get to see your best run. was very impressive to say the least and the level of cars were actually quite good. It was good to see your old R33 that rob has now running into the low 12s can't wait to get my car out there for a crack!

  19. yeh it doesn't happen to be a TRUST kit by any chance? my mates didn't have one either, he had to take it into a fabricator and have them fit a little feed pipe (sorry for bad terminology)

A female friend of mine wants me to find her a 4 door R32. basically what she wants is a car as close to this list as she can get for her money. colour: not black or charcoal (so like silver or red or something) 5 speed manual no aftermarket kits if can be avoided not a drift car preferable mods: Exhaust FMIC Wheels must be in neat condition i would suggest not excessively low and interior not to be too racy (eg guages and control modules everywhere) she is prepared to spend up to $10,000

  23. yeh they are just the factory ECU with a new chip done by MINES in them, they are not programmable. Phat R33 has one in his car and when he bought the car it misfired under boost. few changes to plugs and gpas and it was all set. in his case though the car runs RICH not LEAN, but then again you are talking about making 40rwkw more than him. his car makes 173.1rwkw at 11 psi with to his knowledge kakimoto cat-back (no cat), trust pod filter and turbosmart boost controller. nothing too special about them, probably more of a hinderance with the shit fuel we have over here as the are tuned for Jap fuel

  25. hmm you must have an average nissan dealer then. i ordered some bits off my local and the said we will call when they get in, to my surprise they were in 8am the next day! oh and now my nextdoor neighbour works there so its even better!
